Ah, awesome!
I'll check out that newsgroup.
I'm thinking BM means bookmarked.
So, an OEF of a WotC D&D book is a file likely created/sold by them?

Dumb question for you all:
I'm collecting some PDFs of the various D&D 3E/3.5 that I own, and was wondering if any of you hip kids knew what the various abbreviations meant.
Obviously, I know what OCR is, but, I'd appreciate it if you could help with the following:
OEF
WE
BM
ACT
HQ
Any ideas?

Howdy folks.
I find that it's time to divest myself of the www.marvelrpg.net website.
While it's not overly expensive (my hosting is about $100/year for a LOT of bandwidth and storage space), it's an added expense that I need to get rid of.
What do you folks think I should do with it? Close it up and let it die, or turn it over to someone else?

To me, the ideal PDF is an extremely high-resolution (print resolution) book that's been OCR'd.
Obviously, it takes a bit of work - work that I'm not really interested in doing myself, so I'm more than happy with what people provide me.
When presented with two options, however, I'll take the better resolution - but when both print and screen res books have been avai

Hi, all!
I'm sitting here finding myself at a bit of an impasse.
I enjoy hosting the site, and providing the stuff for download, yet I'm not thrilled with the layout, or my lack of updating the site.
There's PDF's out there that I haven't uploaded to the site, and, truth be told, I really don't have any desire to dink around with updating the thing at the mo

What I want to know is, why the guy with all the guns and ammo didn't start practicing his marksmanship skills on the parking lot dwellers.
Such a waste.
Ah well.
How goes it, David?

Microsoft saves the day.
I upgraded from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003, and the Junk Mail Filter seems to be catching most of the crap.
A few spam messages get through, but so far, no "false-positives" on the caught stuff.
Question - have any of you had problems with any PDF's not opening?
In the emails I've gotten, I've received several notices t

Hi all!
Haven't been doing too much - been being an unemployed bum, going back to school for some certifications, and in general, doing a whole lot of nothing.
I hadn't been around for a while, and I've been trying to keep up on the email associated with the website, but it gets about 100+ spam a day (Just deleted 283 of them, for the last two days), which makes it awful hard

I'd be willing to put it on www.marvelrpg.net, if you wanted to upload it.
Let me know, and I can email you the login information.
My kythri@marvelrpg.net mailbox is kinda hosed up, I'm thinking that I'm going to cut it off, and create a new box for the spammers to attac

Has Marvel released any kind of official digital collection of all of the X-books?
I'd love to read up on stuff, but really have no desire to go out and spend a bunch of money on back issues.
If Marvel hasn't released anything officially, does anyone know of an "unofficial" source?

Fatal Attractions? Like, the X-Men 25/Wolverine 75 stuff, the hologram-cards-on-the-cover issues?
What do you mean it never happened?!

Louis Danhoff is a madman!
He just uploaded the final Gamer's Handbook to the Marvel Universe yesterday, and it's up and on the site:
That's all 8, folks!
Damn, that's some amazing stuff right there.
If anyone is scanning the Revised Basic stuff, he's very interested in that (as am I, and I'm sure, all of you!)!

Howdy folks!
I got an email from someone requesting this same bookset (the Revised Basic stuff).
Any word on it's completion? I'd love to put it up on the website.
Thanks!

Just curious - I'm running IE7 Beta, and keep getting a dialog box that reads:
domMenu: Browser not supported. Menu will be disabled.
I've been testing this beta for the last several months, and so far, it's been compatible with the sites I visit. Was just wondering if the domMenu deal is hardcoded with version numbers or something, and won't accept IE7 or what.

You all thought I died, didn't you?
Well, I'm not, but if my activity with MSH was any indication, I might as well be.
I've been spending way too much time with my other hobbies (firearms and arcade games) and not nearly enough time with MSH (or other RPG's, for that matter).
Thanks to a visitor to the website (http://www.marvelrpg.net), I've received 5 new PDF

QuoteMost people here are used to characters of a certain power level, based upon the rules of the game. If a character is going to be outside the parameter of what the common understanding is, there should be an explanation of how they got that way, or others will be sceptical of the character. If there is an explanation, even one like the campaign the character is from is at a higher power leve

Howdy there...
The site has 75gb of bandwidth per month, spread over 30 days or so, so about 2.5gb per day.
If it's reached it's allowance for the day, it'll switch over to temporary website that tells of it's overlimit status.
This is a feature of the webhost, not something I can control (unless I spend a bunch more).
If you notice this message, pop back the following day

I only have the first issue of it, but I'm loving it already.
Jean Loring and Hal Jordan are on a completely different level, though.
Hal has gotten the shaft repeatedly. Which of us here, given the power of a Green Lantern, wouldn't do what they could to bring back their home, their loved ones, destroyed by a madman?

TONS AND TONS AND TONS OF THANKS to Niniri, who over a week ago uploaded the file that I finally got around to breaking apart and posting today!!
She uploaded us The Uncanny X-Men Box Set, which consists of three books:
Campaign Book
Roster Book
Adventure Book

Which issue?
Heh, this downtime blows...
I just moved in here about 3 months ago, then just had back surgery last Friday, and decided that I needed to start getting back into my websurfing that I've been neglecting - and then that starts leading to me needing to go through boxes that I can't move.
=)
Such is life, neh?

Hi all - long time no talkie!
Got a quick question for the gurus out there, so here goes:
I just got an email from someone who dl'd the Avengers book in the topic, and said that it's messed up - missing pages and the like.
Does anyone have the hardcopy to verify this? I'd look in my copy, but it's currently packed away in a box, because I'm moving in a week or two.
