I liked it, and felt it captured the spirit of the characters, if not the continuity (the continuity was definitely screwed up). After all, FF is about family, and that s what they are. They fight, have issues, and end up coming together at the end. That's what they do.
Johnny and Ben were perfect, and the fighting was true to form. Reed's near obsession with science, Sue not be

I found several sites that mention the both 68 and 70 Chargers were used throughout shooting. They apparently went through a TON of chargers (close to 300) in the making of the series.

If a katana can cut a silk scarf that is left to float and flutter down across the blade than Wolvie's claws, which can shred with CL1000 ability, has a good chance to cut Reed regardless of his plasticity, IMO.
A silk scarf still has rigidity... Reed doesn't unless he chooses to. That is the difference.

Wolvie isn't stupid
Actually, Wolverine is consistently shown to be stupid, and an exceptionally poor fighter given the claim he is "the best there is". Somehow every Marvel character out there is intelligent enough to regularly avoid life threatening injury -except Wolverine. Even given regeneration jumping directly onto someone's weapon is not the best tactic for every

CoH won't even allow players to name characters after real heroes to my understanding. They even remove things like 5p!d3|2 M@n and such from their system because marvel would be up their backside otherwise (and they still are anyways). There's no way -even given a cut- they would ever agree to let you use their characters.

Muthal,
Spiderman is not underrated as he is basically considered the epitome of Marvel heroes. He is the best of the best, bar none. In fact, most of the heroes you listed are just popular heroes. To be underrated you need to be treated poorly yet powerful.
I totally agree on Cyclops. He is the ultimate leader in Marvel, bar none. Granted he was better early on when he had issues with

It sounds great!
However, I doubt you would ever get official permission to us marvel characters in the game, as in Marvels eyes it would be be inpinging on their own online game venture (however wrong that view may be).
You MAY be able to get permission for using the rule system from WoTc, since it is officially a dead system, or you can do a "revamp" of the game that changes it

Let us not forget Spider Man either. While he started as a nerd, even depowered he is now buff (he exercises hours and hours each day) and is a crafty and intelligent fighter. He has as much Experience as most of the above as well now too... and has far more brains, which are not a super power, but his natural ability.

not really, because after technically super strength and agility are powers after all. But then how strong would Spider man be with his powers removed. Before he would be weak, but now he exercises for hours on end daily swinging between buildings so he would be stronger, so who can say.
Fact is it depends on what you are calling a power.

There is no "power" per say, although there are a few magic related powers in the UPB. If you really want to get into the nitty gritty of magic in Marvel read the Realms of Magic set.
But who cares really 'cause Dr. Strange is a Pansy, right Warlock?

I would put Batman at #1 against anyone without superpowers, and wasn't including him because it wasn't fair to the others. He, after all, can take down most of the DC dudes when they HAVE powers.

Read the Punisher where Wolvie shows up, if you can keep your lunch down during it for an awful example of *writer's perrogative*. Writers, they don't use stats they just want to make their characters look good. And sometimes need to be beaten to death with a large roll of said writing.

Wolverine? Wolverine's battle tactic is to jump face first onto his enemy's weapons until they run out of ammo. He'd get anniahalated. Ever see the comics where he lost his regeneration? He got seriously f'ed up.
I tend to dismiss the big guys too, they tend to have experience, but their experience is in hurling large things at each other. That doesn't carry over

One thing I liked is that superman did get smacked around a little occasionally. He never got hurt, but they certainly kicked his earound a bit, and that was fun to watch.

Well, I was wandering wally mart yesterday and in their $1 DVD section I found a cluster of old 40s superman serial cartoons. Being the superhero geek I am, I picked them up, and man they were a blast to watch. They were unintentionally funny (40s serious doesn't quite come across anymore I think) but it was great. A few things I noticed in watching tho:
1) Superman was raised in an or

What, Sidious, should have driven him over the edge? A bad cup of tea? Being forced to get a well kept Jedi haircut instead of that insane mane he has now? Besides, if you watched the movie, instead of sitting there looking for things to pick apart you would have seen the turning point was Mace BREAKING THE CODE. Episodes 1 & 2 were both good movies but never stood a chance of being held in their own right because they were being compared to movies made over 20 years earlier. Movie tastes, filming techniques and many other things have changed. I thought all six movies are excellent - TAKEN FOR WHAT THEY ARE. Try getting off the prequels movies sucked bandwagon and watch them without the blinders and
