*chuckles and nods* Thanks, she was fun to put together outside the more common mode for villains, especially for generating her backstory and getting her powers tweaked just right. She's someone to really challenge a group of heroes especially if she manages to feed on a few and turn them to her side or just from all the innocents she'd have serving her as mind-controlled minions the heroes would have to be careful not to serious hurt or kill.

Paragon

Superhero ID: Paragon
Name: Theresa

Power Category-Demihuman: Mouse

Appearance: Theresa appears as an anthropomorphic female mouse with pale orange fur, emerald green eyes and long waist-length silver hair. She tends to wear a snug-fitting mechanic’s coverall with various items she feels she might need tucked into the pouches and pockets arranged around it. Any body armor she might wear is generally for show or when required by a situation, as her natural abilities tend to make it unnecessary.

Height: 5’ 6”
Weight: 384 Lbs. (Appears body structure-wise to be around 127 lbs.)
Sex: Female
Age: 32, 28 years since reaching physical maturity

Fighting: Amazing (50)
Agility: Amazing (50)
Strength: Amazing (50)/Unearthly (100)
Endurance: Unearthly (100)
Reason: Monstrous (75)
Intuition: Monstrous (75)
Psyche: Unearthly (100)

Health: 250/300
Karma: 250
Resources: Incredible
Popularity: 11

POWERS

Enhanced Senses (Hearing, Sight, Smell): Theresa’s hearing, sight, and smell all operate at the Monstrous levels of sensitivity, and have a broader sensory range than normal beings allowing her to hear into the infrasonic and ultrasonic range of sound as well as see into the infrared and ultraviolet spectrums of light.

Protected Senses: Theresa’s senses enjoy Unearthly protection from attack as a result of her design, and suffer reduced trouble for any attacks capable of exceeding her levels of defense.

Tracking: Monstrous

Night-vision: Monstrous ability to see in near total darkness.

Natural Weaponry/Claws: Material Strength Unearthly Power Rank Monstrous

Natural Weaponry/Teeth: Material Strength Unearthly Power Rank Amazing

Dense Molecular Structure: Theresa’s body is far denser than that of most creatures, such that she weighs far more than one would expect for her size and body shape (triple in fact), and extending her True Invulnerability at Amazing rank, reducing damage from all attacks by 8CS before applying damage. She is also nearly impervious to the effects of rapid acceleration and extreme G-forces. Her punches, kicks, and other strikes inflict +1CS damage as a result as well. This extra mass can be a detriment however in situations where her weight isn’t supported by her current environment (trying to creep across a skylight, scale a cliff, etc.).

Enhanced Skeleton: Theresa’s skeleton is not only denser but also very molecularly stable due to its construction and is the equivalent of Unearthly material strength material when checking against attacks intended to break her bones. It has also been reconfigured and upgraded with safeguards to make dismembering her virtually impossible. If somehow it is broken her body is in fact capable of repairing the break and replacing missing bone, but will require a minimum of a week for a simple break and a month for a compound fracture to knit. The breastplate is also wider in order to provide protection for her heart from attempts to target it specifically.

Regeneration: Designed to recover from nearly any injury Theresa possesses Monstrous rank regenerative capabilities, allowing her to heal 75 time faster than the average being and regenerate vast amounts of lost or damaged tissue. She recovers lost Endurance ranks on a successful green or better feat check every turn.

Hyper-Running: Theresa can run at Remarkable land speeds, moving at up to 6 areas per turn without tiring and may reach this speed in one turn.

Self-Sustenance: Theresa is designed to be able to go extended periods of time without food or water; as such she may go up to a week without food and water before she begins to suffer any ill effects and can get by on one good meal a week and a gallon of water indefinitely. Just because she can doesn’t mean she prefers to however, and generally eats as frequently as any human. She also requires half the oxygen compared to a normal human and is immune to decompression sickness.

Stealth: Incredible Note that due to her weight her ability to get around stealthily is affected by the environment, so trying to get around on tree branches, weak floors, etc. impose a minimum —1CS penalty, or may be impossible for her to move without detection.

Total Memory: Theresa’s advanced mind gives her total recall with Unearthly effectiveness of everything she has ever experienced in as minute a detail as she desires.

Hyper-Intelligence: The level of Theresa’s mental capabilities are difficult to quantify for lesser minds, and is of such depth she may as easily mentally visualize higher dimensional space and time as a normal being may comprehend a 2-dimensional image. Anything requiring a comprehensive awareness of space and time and the movement of objects through either will receive a +3CS bonus due to her unique mental faculties. As such maneuvering of vehicles under the most arduous and complex of situations is a breeze for her, and she’d be nearly unbeatable at games like Pool or Racquetball. She makes these computations at lightning speed so may easily work things out in plenty of time to apply useful results to whatever actions she chooses to make.

Hyper-Invention: Unearthly enhancement to Reason to in regards to comprehending, designing, repairing, or improving upon existing technology as well as developing new technologies as needed, and provides a bonus of a -2CS reduction to the Resource feat required to construct something before the feat roll is made.

Extra Body Part/Prehensile Tail: Allows for one extra attack action per turn, making successful strikes based on her Fighting rank and inflicting up to Excellent damage if striking like a whip, or entangling with Incredible ability. She may also use it to trip or strangle an opponent. Has a length of six feet and covered in orange fur like the rest of her body. In the extremely unlikely event someone were to sever part or all of her tail it will successfully regenerate within a week.

Immortality: Having built better than they realized Theresa is effectively immortal, capable of recovering from anything short of the complete destruction of her body and is possessed of CL1000 resistance to Radiation, Toxins, Disease, and Aging.

TALENTS

Weapons Master; Marksman; Engineering; Electronics; Computers; Repair/Tinkering; General Physics; Atomic Physics; Quantum Physics; Energy and Particle Physics; Mathematics; Aircraft Pilot; Spacecraft Pilot; Automobile Specialist; Motorcycle Specialist; Military; Robotics; Temporal Physics and Time Travel; Trans-dimensional Physics; Dimension Travel; Chemistry; Demolitions and Explosives Disposal; Leadership; NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) Survival and Disposal; Survival; Electronic Counter-Measures; Cryptography; Spacial Geometry +3CS.

EQUIPMENT

Coverall: Theresa wears a custom-tailored mechanic’s coverall made of excellent material strength material. While it grants no protection from attacks it allows her to carry a variety of items with her, depending on her desires. Some standard items include a scanner (Incredible energy detection and analysis); Radio/Video Transceiver (Incredible reception/transmission of audio and video with a range of up to 50 miles); Portable Electronics Tool Kit; Multi-purpose Mechanics tools; Digital Video Recorder; Portable Wafer-thin computer (Monstrous Reason, universal computer port and wi-fi connection, holographic keyboard and display, Unearthly rank Firewall and encryption); camouflage rain poncho.

Motorcycle: This custom-made All-Terrain Motorcycle makes use of high-efficiency electric motors and a beta-particle power supply, with secondary solar cells and storage batteries giving unlimited range over a variety of terrain. Contains a built-in GPS locator and highway map grid, and docking station for her portable computer to link with its onboard systems to grant wireless broadband Internet access with a secondary Unearthly rank Firewall built into the motorcycle and Monstrous rank Encryption. Given the whisper-quiet nature of its design it’s almost impossible to hear it coming unless she’s running the motorcycle sounds simulator when wishing to have it sound like a regular motorcycle. Built-In ECMs grant Monstrous protection against detection by electronic means, although can’t be running any transmissions at the time. Body: Amazing; Speed: Shift X; Control: Monstrous; Protection: None

Power Gem: After her encounter with Seraphim Theresa acquired the Power Gem, a source of virtually infinite power, as such it automatically brings with it certain benefits, including increasing her Strength and Regeneration to Unearthly levels, and may increase them by 1CS per turn over these base levels by clearing a red psyche feat each turn. While new to the gem she has the potential to manipulate and generate energy for a nearly unlimited number of effects with practice.

HISTORY

Theresa is a prototype military weapon from an alternate earth where scientific development advanced faster than on the mainstream Marvel earth, with an emphasis on genetically engineered bio-weapons for military purposes rather than risk human lives in the various conflicts scattered around their world. Created using a variety of cutting edge and revolutionary techniques she was meant to be the forerunner for an entirely new line of weapons, capable of taking and dishing out enormous amounts of punishment and functioning as a one-person army. Unfortunately for her creators, while she did indeed exceed all expectations the experimental techniques used to create her also unintentionally cancelled out the obedience conditioning when she reached full physical and mental maturity.

Rebelling against her creators she destroyed the facility where she was created after some of the guards brutalized her trying to instill proper ‘respect’ for humans into her, leaving nothing but a smoking crater behind. She survived for months skulking around in the shadows of human society, until she bumped into another rare individual like herself who’d escaped his programmed conditioning, an anthropomorphic fox named Roger. They found they worked well together and quickly fell in love, but it was not to last, as the authorities were quickly closing in on them. Her advanced mind and training had allowed Theresa to construct a dimensional gateway, in hopes of escaping their world, but alas they were attacked on the threshold of escaping, and Roger gave his life to ensure she at least could live.

She first found herself on a more primitive world where she proved a destabilizing influence due to her lack of knowledge of proper social custom and sent onto the next world by the one thing they did excel in, magic (although she still has trouble admitting that magic exists). The next was more technologically advanced but still primitive by her standards, and occupied by a warlike collection of intelligent apes who ruled over a peaceful, mindless race of humans. She didn’t care for it but it was she found fruitless trying to change the conditions that existed there and cobbling together a fresh transdimensional gateway moved on.

Eventually she found herself on Earth-616, with her first encounter dropping her down in the middle of a military base and having to deal with the prompt response of the security personnel. While she didn’t care for humans or being shot at she realized she was the intruder, however accidental, and fought her way off the base to escape and hide herself in the surrounding countryside. Staying several steps ahead of her pursuers she took every opportunity to study up on the newest world she’d ended up on and was amazed at the diversity and range of super-powered individuals. It seemed like with a little effort she could even settle down and be acknowledged as an equal, rather than a slave or weapon.

Motivated by the hope of being able to settle down she managed to find the means of dealing with the misunderstanding at the military base and her genius was well on its way to setting her up with a comfortable living when the disastrous events that triggered the events of the Civil War occurred. Suddenly what good will she’d earned was quickly wiped away in the race to punish everyone who was considered different and gifted compared to the norm for the actions of a few. Conflict escalated as SHIELD agents came calling and sought to capture he when she refused to submit to registration and ‘management’ by the US government.

Defeating the SHIELD squad was easy, as they seriously underestimated her due to her seemingly non-threatening appearance, in fact it was quite humiliating for the people involved, especially after she stripped them of anything useful and left them tied up naked in the remains of her apartment. Loading her gear up she quickly saddled up on her motorcycle and set off for the hideout she’d set up just in case things went bad for her, to study what she’d acquired from her attackers and plan out her next step. Eventually she decided to stay a while longer instead of trying to find yet another world more suitable, with suitable measures taken to protect her from discovery as she sought a way to protect those who were also exceptional by human standards, because however much she distrusted humans because of her homeworld she could never abide anyone being enslaved or imprisoned just for who or what they are.

CONTACTS

Theresa’s encountered and developed contacts with both Nightstalker (whom she feels an affinity towards, given their similar histories of being created as weapons) and Seraphim, and while distrustful of humans will still help out anyone in the Super-human underground trying to remain free and unleavened by the SRA and SHIELD.

ENEMIES

Given her avid resistance to the SRA Theresa’s possessed of a number of enemies at all levels of government, particularly with SHIELD and Tony Stark (who also suffered a humiliating defeat at her hands), as well as with those humans who blindly support the SRA and support the enslavement of their fellow beings.

PERSONALITY

Theresa has a general distrust of all humans, as a result of her past experiences, but has not lost the compassion and general desire to make things better instilled into her by her dead lover. She is very much for the underdog and can overreact or take extreme responses to perceived abuse, such as attacking authorities legitimately dealing with a criminal matter if it appears from her perspective unwarranted. On the other hand she’ll stop at nothing to ensure someone guilty of doing any kind of harm to another, whether mental or physical, is brought to justice. As a general rule she’s against killing, if only because her creators wished her to be little more than a killing machine, but if faced with a killer, especially in the heat of the moment or to save someone who’s at imminent threat of death from a killer, she WILL kill to save others. She is nothing like Wolverine or Punisher though, and won’t use killing as an expedient way of dealing with a problem, only as a last resort. Her past has also left her as a loner most of the time, although will cooperate with others if it suits her goals at the times. The SRA has been a particular sore spot with her, reminding her too much of her former home world and requiring her to oppose it at every opportunity (although not to the detriment of normal humans unless forced into it by SRA Press Gangs).

Asphalt raced beneath the tires of the eerily silent motorcycle as it sped along the lonely highway late at night, the only light for its driver to see by that of the crescent moon and stars blazing in the sky. Miles disappeared behind the large and obviously custom-made vehicle while the speed indicator sat steady at 150 MPH, the long silver-hair of its driver whipping around in the wind as it streamed out from beneath her helmet.

It would have been obvious to anyone in a position to see her that she was no ordinary driver; from the elongated shape of the helmet to the long orange-furred tail drawn out behind her by the wind it was clear the driver wasn’t human but something else instead. Whatever she was she wore a well-tailored mechanics coverall that covered her shapely frame and hugged to her every generous curve, presenting an eye-pleasing show that even the various pockets couldn’t block.

She had almost reached a section of highway laid through a rock cut through a small hill when something out of place tickled at her attention, a section of highway that just didn’t look right in the moonlight. Tires squalled as she kicked on the brakes to slow down and drove her feet downward into the asphalt, leaving twin trails where her feet ripped it up for added traction. Even as she was coming to a stop several feet shy of the suspicious section of highway she was being bathed in light from a variety of concealed locations all around her.

“Paragon! By order of SHIELD you are ordered to immediately submit yourself to restraint and transport for processing as a result of violations of the Superhuman Registration Act!”

As the amplified voice washed over her the biker calmly stepped off her cycle, feet none the worse for wear after being used for brakes, and scanned the dozens of armed SHIELD agents rushing up to cover her. Setting the stand for the bike she reached up to remove her helmet and with a shake of her head that sent her silver hair spilling around her shoulders she gave a snort as she surveyed her ambushers, eyes automatically adjusting to the change from darkness to light.

“You know what you can do with your act!” she shouted back as she tucked her helmet neatly on her bike, the proud mouse’s mind mapping out everyone around her while her ultra-keen hearing brought her every whisper in the earphone mikes of those closest to her. “I left my home world to escape slavery and I’ll not submit to being a slave here either!”

There was no reason to expect mercy or quarter from the fascism that had set in on earth ever since the hasty passage of the SRA, Theresa knew, and even as she set her plan into motion she could hear the order being given to fire on her position. Before the humans had time to react she was already in motion, racing across the highway towards the nearest group of agents. Trained though they were they weren’t expecting her to cover the ground between them and her so rapidly, and were still trying to track her with their guns before she barreled into them.

Armor crunched as she slammed into the first agent, her deceptively heavy frame sending him flying through the air, while her tail whipped around to catch and trip the one who’d been standing beside the one she struck. She narrowly missed taking several shots from the remaining cluster still standing as she leapt onto the chest of the one on the ground, driving the air out of his lungs, using him as a springboard to barrel into the others, easily knocking them to the ground with her nearly 400 lb frame.

Fast as she was she knew the others were waiting for their shot once she was clear of their teammates, something she’d banked on when she moved so quickly on their position. While she doubted they had anything that could hurt her she wasn’t going to take that chance if she could avoid it. Bracing herself she stood with one of the much larger agents over her head, angles and trajectories instantly calculated as she hurled him towards another fixed position of agents, forcing them to scatter.

As the agent was flying through the air she felt something strike and break against her back from behind, and turned with a growl to face the one who’d managed to get up more quickly than the others and had broken his knife against her skin. Glaring at him she backhanded him with enough force to send him spiraling away and grabbed up another agent for a shield and laughing to herself at the poetic justice in that, for she could already hear the others rushing towards her.

“Surrender! You are outnumbered and alone and will be treated humanely!” blared out across the landscape as the unseen leader made another attempt to lower her costs for the mission, and earned an obscene gesture from the mouse before she ripped a flash grenade off the belt of the agent she held and tossed it towards the rushing troops.

Theresa didn’t even bother to wait before tossing a few more grenades of whatever was handy on her living shield, as it would take a lot more than a flash grenade to blind her even briefly. Done with him she tossed him towards a cluster of lights and dove for the scattered weapons of some of the others she’d already nailed.

“Humans, so easily herded”, she thought to herself as the grenades had done their work, causing them to cluster together and be much easier targets as she raced at them. The weapons she could now tell were standard issue for SHIELD agents and she plowed through the incoming energy blasts like they weren’t even there. They were still firing as she hammered into them, claws extended and shredding armor while the fought vainly to contain her. She could hear every bone break when she struck and couldn’t resist a little bit of pleasure at the sound, even if these humans weren’t the ones who created her they stood in nicely for them.

In minutes she’d decimated the dozens of troops on the ground and eliminated the majority of the lights trained on her area trying to keep her in view. Limited as they were she didn’t doubt that they had nightvision equipment set up for backup, but as she dashed into the tree line where she estimated their temporary command post was she doubted they’d be able to keep up with her. Before she could get there though she heard the sound of jets as it lifted off into the air and the hillside exploded where she was, sending her spiraling through the air.

Crashing into the ground with a thud that left a dent in the hard packed dirt she shook her head as she struggled to get up, cursing her carelessness as well as the damage her outfit took. The minor cuts she mostly ignored as they were already starting to heal over as she scanned the area for any remaining threats. Shaking the dirt out of her hair and brushing herself clean she growled as what appeared to be a back-up team approaching from the more distant and unexploded section of the hill.

“Persistent bastards,” she thought to herself, and more than a bit aggravated by the single-minded determination to cart her off to an extra-dimensional prison if they couldn’t force her to serve them. She’d been minding her own business, not bothering anyone, even saved a family from a terrible car accident with a drunk driver and this was her reward, hunted like an animal for ‘unauthorized superhuman activities’.

For a country founded on personal liberties and individual freedom there seemed to be none of that for anyone who wasn’t a normal, selfish human ever since the disaster months before caused by a group of careless super-humans showboating trying to capture several dangerous criminals and getting hundreds killed in the process. She was tempted once again to move on and try and find a better earth to adopt as home, but as the best she found so far she felt she could spend a little more effort trying to redeem this one.

There wasn’t any point to continuing the fight; it was just a delaying action in any case until they could bring in troops with heavier weapons or super-villains more than eager for the chance to hunt heroes, or some of those sellouts like Richards or Stark who’d made the nightmare possible. While she more than enjoyed handing Stark a humiliating defeat the first time they met she knew that he was smart for a human and would be far better prepared for her next time.

Given how much she put into building her bike she wasn’t about to let them confiscate it by fleeing without out, and made straight for it as fast as she could. A few hits from the new agents confirmed her opinion some heavier weapons were coming in; they’d switched to projectile weapons instead of energy, which while still not injuring her they did sting and slow her more than the others. She’d almost made it to her bike when a ruby red beam of light came smashing down into the ranks of the SHIELD agents from above to smash into the center of the squads of humans.

While unexpected she didn’t mind someone else giving the agents trouble as she hopped onto her cycle even as more blasts rained down from above, sowing confusion through the ranks of humans. She could make out a winged figure hovering overhead, each blast skillfully targeted to eliminate any further problems for the mouse as she saddled up on her cycle, dismissing the helmet for speed.

She was glad she had it keyed to her biometrics as it instantly started, the low hum of the electric motors filling her ears as she gave a parting gesture to the advancing agents and kicked the bike into full acceleration, skirting the area that had been set up as a trap to catch her when she was racing down the highway. Air screamed through her hair as she kicked it up over 300MPH and continued to accelerate, putting as much distance as possible between her and the SHIELD agents before dropping down and sliding into more winding and less trackable highways.

After several hours of non-stop tactical driving she let herself relax enough to find a place to stop and determine her damages; selecting a tunnel for added shielding. Thankfully she couldn’t find any serious damage to her motorcycle although she was quite aggravated by the damage to her outfit; unstable molecules were hard to come by and she hadn’t access to what it’d take to make her own where she was.

Clean-up proved easy enough, although she couldn’t wash anything where she was and some of the tears were in some embarrassing locations. Well embarrassing to the average human, she didn’t care other than not wishing to be giving free shows to some slobbering and undeserving human male. Some superglue proved a quick fix for that, and covered up the majority of her orange fur and bits.

Theresa had just managed to clean herself up and temporarily mend her costume when she heard the soft rustle of feathers and fur as someone landed in virtual silence on the asphalt pavement at the entrance to the tunnel.

“So you managed to keep up with me, I’m impressed,” she purred in a throaty, sensual voice without even bothering to turn around. “While I could have managed without the help I do appreciate it. To whom do I owe my thanks?” she asked as she finally did turn about, her long silver hair splashing about her shoulders.

“I am Seraphim, creation and former servant of the High Evolutionary,” came the reply as she found herself facing a taller, slender anthropomorphic vixen clad in simple wrap-around top and loincloth, with white-feathered wings folded against her back.

“I am Theresa, although to the humans I am known as Paragon,” Theresa replied, on guard just in case this was part of some convoluted trap although not outwardly threatening, mind pondering possible escape routes just in case as well as evaluating what she’d calculated about the energy blast she’d observed from the vixen. “For what purpose did you intercede to disperse my attackers?”

“For the same reason any would when one shares common enemies, to gain allies and weaken them wherever possible,” Seraphim noted with a bit of a smirk, her long fluffy foxtail flicking lazily behind her while she padded closer to the mouse. “SHIELD hunts any who refuse to submit to their yoke and imprison those that they cannot turn. Separate they may pick us off one by one, together those like us who fight for our freedom have a better chance of breaking SHIELD and the evil it fosters.”

“What reason do I have to trust you?” she asked while rubbing her muzzle thoughtfully, her own long orange tail curled up behind her while she gazed steadily at the vixen, trying to read her intent in her posture. “It’s not as if I’ve heard of you or this creator of yours.”

“Because I have something to offer to prove my good intentions,” came the reply, while Seraphim reached to her hip and withdrew a smooth gem of a deep red coloration and held it out to the mouse.

“What is this?” she asked curiously, as she held out her left hand towards the vixen, who placed the oddly warm stone in her palm. “I have little need for pretty stones and jewels.”

“That is no ordinary stone,” Seraphim told her while reaching up to draw back her headband to reveal a similar stone, although shaded dark blue, resting upon her brow. “What you see upon my brow is the Mind Gem, one of the six Infinity gems that hold sway over all reality, and the stone in your hand is one if its brothers, the Power gem. Whoever holds it has access to virtually infinite power, and the gem seems to favor you as its host.”

Theresa’s skepticism that such a tiny thing could hold such power was obvious enough even if she couldn’t have sensed it Seraphim could still read it easily in the mouse’s features, which left her smirking as only a vixen could. “For one who’s such a powerful creature in a small package herself you shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss such a thing. So long as you possess it you can potentially be unconquerable in matters of physical power.”

“And you’re simply giving all that power to me?” Theresa asked, having trouble believing anyone would give up such power even as her genius-level mind pondered all the possibilities open to one if Seraphim’s claims about the simple-seeming gem were true.

“I have power enough with the Mind Gem,” Seraphim noted as she closed Theresa’s hand around the gem, letting her briefly feel the leashed power of her mind wash over her and leave an electric tingling behind as it fluffed her fur in an instant. “I was crafted with the DNA of several of the Earth’s most powerful telepaths as part of the mix that went bringing about my existence and other than flight the powers I’m most comfortable in drawing upon. Perhaps that is why it wished to belong to me over that of one of those contributors, as he was making no use of it and the gem seems to favor a host of strong mental abilities. That last is speculations however as I’ve no way of knowing that for certain.”

Annoyed at the display of her power, even in such a harmless fashion, Theresa almost laid into the vixen verbally but was distracted by something she hadn’t felt in a long time, the sensation of strength and vitality flooding her just as had happened to her months after her creation as her physical abilities matured. The feeling was so intense she felt a shiver run through her body starting at her right hand that was clasped about the Power Gem and her doubts vanished like morning dew before a sunny day’s dawning.
“I see you’re finally aware of the truth of my words,” the vixen commented with an understanding smile. “I had a similar reaction made even moreso by having two gems at once, as the gems are even more powerful working together.”

“And you say there are four more of these gems?” Theresa asked, even her mind having trouble grasping the possibilities of what such a collection of gems could do in the hands of one being.

“Oh yes, each supremely powerful in the aspect of reality that it is master of,” was the reply as the vixen gestured and reshaped the asphalt of the road telekinetically into relatively comfortable chairs for them to sit in. “The others master Space, Time, the Soul, and Reality itself. Of the other four I’ve encountered the Soul Gem as my creator had it before passing it on to the genetic construct of another organization in repayment of some services. It’s a malevolent thing with a craving for souls that it stores within an idyllic pocket dimension, but thankfully a strong-willed owner may curb its hunger. The most dangerous though is the Reality Gem, as improper use of it could result in universe-wide destruction that would require the other five gems to contain.”

“If these gems are so powerful how did you even gain possession of two of them, or even learn so much about them?” Theresa asked while accepting the seat, although kept her guard up as she multi-tasked between analyzing her surroundings, the feelings of power from the gem she held, listening to what the vixen said, and considering possible uses for it as well as her future plans and whether or not to remain on this earth or find another more suitable.

“The gems have a tendency to move about on their own when not connected to a host,” Seraphim explained as she sat across from the justifiably suspicious mouse, keeping her own vigil for unwanted interruptions with casual mental scans of the area. “That is how these two came to me, as those who originally held them, Charles Xavier and Reed Richards, had locked them away in hiding rather than carrying them with them. As far as how I know all this, well there are few secrets one can keep from a telepath in any case, especially one with the Mind and Power gems to give them to access to all minds.”

“I have heard of this Richards, supposedly the greatest mind on this planet,” Theresa replied with a sniff. “I see little example of it when such a supposedly great mind supports a law that requires all superhumans, including himself, to register and serve his government as slaves or undergo confinement for life in an extra-dimensional prison.”

“Sadly his ego is nearly as great as that of his greatest rival, Victor Von Doom,” the vixen commented with a shake of her head, remembering what it had been like looking through the mind of the founding member of the Fantastic Four and its leader. “His mind is so full of theories and successes that his few glaring failures fail to instill sufficient caution when attempting events that can reshape the world.”

“Tell me about it,” Theresa growled. “I fled an oppressive world that sought to use me as a weapon and thought I’d finally found one here where I could be accepted but it’s rapidly turning into yet another world based on tyranny and selling out the freedoms of some for the false security of others. I’ll move on to another world before submitting to enslavement or imprisonment by anyone.”

“That was something I wished to talk with you about,” Seraphim murred, eliciting a look of surprise from the mouse before she continued. “While I was taught many things by my creator to better serve him including many of the sciences knowledge of dimensional travel was not something he possessed or pursued. When I learned of you and your origins from the minds of several SHIELD agents you’d defeated in the past I’d already started to seek you out as a possible ally, including perhaps finding a way to use your knowledge of dimensional travel to find a world for those seeking sanctuary from the SRA, as well as breach the extra-dimensional prison SHIELD holds their prisoners in and rescue them. That perhaps might be another reason the gems came to me, for I only acquired them after I’d begun to pursue you.”

“So you originally wished to find me because of my knowledge of how to travel between dimensions?” Theresa inquired, her tail twitching lightly.

“More for your impressive physical and mental abilities, but yes for that knowledge as well,” she admitted. “I have found records hacked from older super-hero databases like those of the Avengers and Fantastic Four regarding a number of parallel and divergent realities, including some that are worse and some that are better. Right now the US is sliding into a reflection of a string of divergent futures that the X-men have encountered that they refer to as the Nightmares of Futures Past. In it all mutants and super-humans in general are either slain or contained in concentration camps simply for not being what is considered a normal human.”

“They aren’t too far from that, once they round up the rest of those who resist both slavery and imprisonment it’s only a matter of time before they move on to quietly locking up those who went along with it as well, until no one’s left.”

“That is why we must act to save those we can,” Seraphim declared firmly. “We must rescue those already locked away in the Negative Zone, continue to fight as heroes and save those we can, and show these humans the wrongness of trading freedom and the rights of others away for the false feeling of security. Find a way to turn back this evil tide and fight for the sake of all those who can’t fight for themselves.”

Theresa couldn’t help but chuckle briefly at the speech, especially when the vixen’s eyes literally glowed with the intensity of her convictions. “How can I say no to that?” she said as she stared back into Seraphim’s eyes and stood to offer her hand to her. “Allies then, until true freedom and heroism reigns across this shadowed world once again!”

=======

“I swear these humans are crazier than the ones that created me,” Theresa complained weeks later after joining up with Seraphim as they sat around the vixen’s hidden lair relaxing after their latest fight with SHIELD while trying to bring some relief from the extreme temperatures and the weather conditions spawned by them. “They were so determined to capture and control us they didn’t care in the slightest about all the resources they’ve put towards capturing us or how badly they set back aid to the humans we were in the middle of helping.”

“Such is the mark of the fanatic, willing to accept incredible atrocities so long as they feel it is advancing their goals somehow,” Seraphim replied while surrounded by a cloud of various fruits, meats, and vegetables as she assembled dinner for the two of them, the vixen dressed in a more utilitarian form-fitting black outfit instead of the more revealing outfit she’d worn when she met the mouse. “It’s most distasteful having to reach into their minds for anything and see how this one or that one justifies even crippling someone because they sought to aid another simply because they refused to be enslaved and managed by a soulless government organization and bogged down in red tape and rules.”

“I don’t envy you your telepathic abilities given what you have to put up with seeing I’ll grant you that,” she replied, watching with amusement as the vixen so quickly and efficiently laid out quite the buffet for the two of them as if she were a dozen people instead of just one courtesy of her excellent control over the telekinetic abilities she received from the contribution of Jean Grey’s genetic material to her being. “It’s distasteful enough having to deal with the outward signs of their fanaticism when they attack with that tiresome declaration to surrender and either register or submit to ‘indefinite confinement’ in the Negative Zone I shudder to think what a cesspool their minds must be to enter into.”

“It is never easy to gaze into the mind of another and see all that they conceal from the world shorn of the façade that they present to everyone including themselves at times,” Seraphim replied softly, having seen too often the darkness in the minds of others and the flimsy justifications made to take the dark choice over the light. “These villains they’ve escalated to using only emphasizes how bankrupt and lost their cause is, sending serial killers like Venom and Bullseye out to make examples of heroes who resist shows what a mockery they make of their claims of noble aims.”

“If I weren’t opposed to it if only because it’s what my creators wished to use me for I’d kill them myself and save all their future victims that this so-called government of the people by the people for the people chooses to send them after,” Theresa stated matter-of-factly while reaching for one of the pasta bowls that slid onto the table along with the rest of the meal as Seraphim joined her, although with the vixen choosing to nibble on a shish kebob she’d made for herself.

“Well it’s certain that if anyone deserves to be imprisoned for life in another dimension it should be these villains instead of the heroes who have fought to stop them,” she replied, alternating between bites of her kebob and sips of a simple red wine she favored. “It has never made sense to me that it was one of their super villains who should have been executed years ago who murdered all those children and yet it’s their heroes that they seek to imprison and give villains luxury accommodations and free passage to hunt them instead. Truly madness has taken over this country in making heroes out of villains and vilifying its heroes. The murder of the symbol of their country Captain America for not going along with such injustice simply shows the lengths that they’ll go to in order to push their agenda.”

“I only met him briefly, shortly after I met Nightstalker, but I agree he was a great man and it’s beyond comprehension how they could so totally turn upon him for standing firm and protesting dehumanizing those with powers and abilities the average human lacks.”

“Speaking of Nightstalker I was going to tell you after dinner but I read in the mind of several of the SHIELD agents that attacked us when we were out last that she’s been captured and being held in a facility in Illinois pending transportation to the Negative Zone,” Seraphim told Theresa while surreptitiously shielding the table telekinetically for the outburst she knew would be coming.

“What?! When did this happen and why did you wait until now to tell me?!” Theresa shouted as she jumped up as the vixen had expected and glared across the table at her.

“I said I was going to inform you after dinner,” she replied calmly before finishing off her kebob and wiping her fingers off on a napkin. “You know as well as I do that they ship prisoners off on a tight schedule every Friday which gives us several days in which to determine how best to rescue her. Besides if I’d told you out in the field you’d have rushed off to rescue her right then without any planning at all.”

“Dinner will have to wait then, rescuing her is the only thing on my mind now,” Theresa declared, steely determination reverberating in that sultry voice of hers as she dashed out of the room, all thought of food forgotten as she made directly for their computer room in order to find out everything she could about the Illinois Containment Facility.

Seraphim watched as the mouse disappeared out the door in a flash of silver hair streaming behind her then shrugged and returned to her meal. [At least telling her here ensured she put her mind to use as well instead of simply smashing her way through things,] she thought to herself as she ate, intent on making sure she was well-fed and in peak condition for the inevitable raid to rescue the feline. Sometimes her new friend was too emotional and headstrong for her own good, although she had to admit she favored someone with such genius still feeling so strongly instead of blinded by logic and unwilling to admit to mistakes like the fool humans who’d been essential in making the SRA work: Tony Stark and Reed Richards. Without the advanced technology and other support that they’d supplied the act could never have been so successful or so ruthlessly enforced and might not have been passed at all.

While Seraphim focused on finishing off the rest of her meal and putting together some leftovers for Theresa and cleaning up the kitchen the mouse was holed up within the computer room pushing the advanced system to its limits as she called up data on a dozen scattered displays; from satellite images to media coverage to confidential files hacked from the SHIELD servers and anything else she felt might be remotely helpful in the rescue of her feline friend. Fingers danced over the specialized keyboards too fast for the average eye to follow, eyes darting from display to display as she drank up every dreg of information possible and fed it back into simulations of various attack scenarios on the containment facility.

“I don’t know how they got you but they aren’t going to keep you Nightstalker,” Theresa thought to herself as she thought back to when she met the feline; a train disaster that had required all their energies to rescue those who’d survived and prevent a deadly cloud of ammonia spreading into a nearby town. Not that it should have taken so much effort but once the local SRA enforcers showed up they’d been forced to divide their time between defending themselves and dealing with the real problem. It had proven a bonding experience and even though they’d gone their respective ways afterwards they had helped each other on several occasions since then.

Data on the defenses proved sketchy, as expected given a high-security facility intended to contain potentially dozens of super-humans but there were workarounds available to one as creative as her. A scrap of information here, a bit there, knowledge of what basic materials and equipment had been purchased, and the nature of the facility provided insights into what possible defenses existed to circumvent. Studying up on the available information both public and private related to the prime developers of the technology used in the facility gave her a good foundation to extrapolate what to possibly expect in the rescue attempt. It wouldn’t cover all eventualities but not like she expected anything to work out exactly as planned hence her always planning for the worst.

Twenty-four hours of intense preparation later and she had the fabrication details forwarded to the mini-factory Seraphim’s hidden base contained, needing to get the most out of every minute to ensure the success of the rescue mission. Yawning a bit she shook her head briefly, fingers combing through her long silver tresses as she ran them back through her hair to get some tangles out.

“Mmmph, I wonder where Seraphim’s at,” she wondered aloud, way too little time left in her opinion to get everything done in but would make it work somehow. Stretching out in the chair she wriggled her toes out in front of her, spine arching in purely feline fashion (something quite unexpected from one so outwardly not a feline) as she worked every muscle and tendon in her body before standing up and padding out with the tick of her toeclaws on the floor to find the vixen.

“Finally! I wasn’t sure where you were!” Theresa exclaimed when she finally found the vixen in the entertainment center watching of all things the Sci-Fi channel in the middle of a Sliders marathon.

“Just staying out of the way and letting you plot and get rested up for things,” Seraphim replied while holding out a bowl of freshly buttered and salted popcorn to the mouse. “Everything worked out and ready?” she asked calmly.

“As best it can be,” Theresa replied while taking and munching on a handful of the popcorn proffered to her. “You can check out the plans I sketched out on the main console while I get showered and take a few hours naptime. The fabricators won’t have anything ready before then and I can answer any questions you’ve got when I get up. I want to make sure I’m at 100% when we go in after Nightstalker.”

“Okay, I’ll give it a look see while you’re taking care of all that,” the vixen promised. “Anything in particular I should focus on?”

“The possible defenses and the equipment list under construction would be a good focus, since the layout’s even more speculative than the defenses,” came the answer before Theresa finished off another handful of popcorn. “See you in a few hours.”

“I’ll be ready and waiting for you when you get up,” Seraphim reassured her. “I should be waiting in here or the computer room reviewing things when you return.”

=========

One good hot shower and fur-grooming topped off with a refreshing nap later and Theresa was feeling fully restored and ready to take on the world if need be in order to rescue her friend. Wrapped in a soft pink robe she took off promptly towards the entertainment room first since it was along the way to the computer room, finding it empty of the vixen she continued on and was rewarded within minutes of getting up with not only the vixen but finding her deep in thought studying the design layouts for the equipment that should be ready and waiting for them in the fabrication room.

“Oh good there you are, I was reexamining the schematics on the gear you’ve put together for us and it’s just brilliant, and that from someone whose creator is a self-evolved demi-god,” Seraphim declared. “Although I’m curious; did you borrow some of the basic concepts from elsewhere?”

“Some of them yes,” Theresa admitted as she pulled up a seat next to the vixen and started calling up various tags and labels leading to various portions of the schematics on the screen. “In order to deal with the scanners around the facility I took the basic idea of imbedded molecular computer technology in unstable molecule fabric clothing that Reed Richards uses in the costumes for the Fantastic Four and incorporated some ideas of my own. This blended technology is what allows for these specialized costumes to render us effectively invisible to their sensors, including visual detection for short periods of time.”

“Which also will give us wearable computers to use for any computer hacking needs,” Seraphim surmised aloud and received an agreeing nod from the mouse. “Most of this looks redundant though, or back-ups in case we have to deal with something our natural powers can’t get us around instead.”

“Pretty much,” Theresa conceded before shutting down the display and standing. “I don’t expect anything we can’t deal with using our powers or talents, outside the bypassing of the security scanners, but I always try to prepare for surprises along the way. In any case we need to get suited up and on our way; it’ll be a tight squeeze as it is getting there and inside and out with Nightstalker during the time of night when humans are most lax and inattentive.”

Suiting up proved surprisingly simple as Seraphim soon discovered; for the unstable molecules and built-in computers allowed the matt-black material to fit itself snuggly to her every contour, even her wings were enveloped without impeding their function in any fashion. By the time they were finished they both were transformed into black-bodied shadows of their original forms, although Theresa’s normally free-flying hair was contained within the thick material so as to not present anything that might give them away.

“Remember you can call up the suit’s computer interface simply by tapping the back of either wrist,” Theresa reminded her, including a demonstration how to activate and deactivate the interface. “Once we get there we switch to total telepathic communication unless absolutely necessary, in which case we switch to suit-to-suit communicators to avoid radio transmissions that might be detected.”

Seraphim chuckled softly and nodded. [Might as well start now then Paragon,] the vixen sent to her, switching to the mouse’s heroic ID and put aside any humor now that the mission was ready to begin. She didn’t include her reasons why she felt like forming the link before they left; given the tightly structured mind and powerful will Theresa had and her general distrust it caused even the vixen trouble establishing and holding a link stable.
Simply nodding her agreement she finished up the instructions on the stealth suits and allowed the vixen brief glimpses of her mental preparations for what was to come on their way to the teleporter. For anyone with experience with the mouse it was like night versus day when she went from casual mode to mission mode; gone was the humor and flirtatious manner and in its place was a seriousness to frighten nearly anyone with its intensity. The risk of capture and imprisonment was great and something she would never allow while she still drew breath, and yet for one of her few friends she would risk that and more to rescue them.

In the blink of an eye they found themselves going from the brightly lit and reflective metallic walls of Seraphim’s home to the darkly shadowed recesses of a lightly forested section of park grounds several miles from the containment facility. Paragon regretted not being able to teleport in closer to the facility but couldn’t afford the energy spike being detected or risk it compromising the security of the angelic vixen’s home by leaving a trace signature that could lead back to it later. It’s not paranoia when someone really is out to get you after all and with their powers a few miles would be easy enough to cover.

It was a lucky break for the pair that the facility was one in a less populated location and areas of shadow to slip through were plentiful instead of in the outskirts or more deeply located in say Chicago or Peoria. As it was it only took a few minutes to cover the distance between them and the 20’ tall electrified and razor-wired fence that surrounded the well lit and heavily secured facility.

[First stage ready to implement,] Paragon thought to Seraphim while reaching for a small container on her belt and released its contents into the air after testing to be sure that the wind was blowing towards the facility.

Seraphim nodded quietly as she watched the mouse at work, as always fascinated by how the brilliant female’s mind worked and a bit envious at times even though she wasn’t a slouch in the brain’s department either. From the briefing earlier she knew that the dust would allow Paragon to see any infrared or ultraviolet security beams that might lace the area. While for a human the particle densities required for such a success would trigger the alarms the mouse’s vision was extremely sensitive into the far ends of the near-light spectrum where human vision didn’t stray and could detect them at a level below conventional levels.

[Okay Seraphim, I’ve got the grid work mapped out,] Paragon sent while visualizing a mental map of the layout of the security beams covering the area between them and the building. [Just follow the path I’ve laid out and our suits will take care of the electronic scanners and visual inspection. Just don’t dawdle as the power is limited,] she warned before taking the vixen’s hand and activating the stealth circuits, causing the pair to fade from sight.

[Understood,] came the reply as Seraphim reached around Paragon to pick her up from behind, switching to her telekinesis to move the pair up and over the fence as quickly as she could given the limited durations of their stealth capabilities. While she’d have preferred using her wings the mouse’s greater density and weight made it too risky to simply fly in using them and they had too much to lose to take that risk.

Weaving through the grid of invisible beams with total faith in the mouse’s knowing where they were they quickly arrived at the roof next to the elevator access Paragon had shown as the end-point of their path and alighted lightly upon it. Paragon promptly went to work using the short-range scanners of her suit to check for alarms and other sensors that might alert someone to their presence upon the roof.

[Better secured than I expected,] Seraphim overheard Paragon think to herself as she pulled out several items from within the protective confines of her suit. Cutting away the casing of the electrical junction box with the skill of a surgeon she laid bare the intricate network of wiring and proceeded to analyze it while comparing the information with what her scanners had informed her about in regards to the roof security. Eventually locating the wiring of importance to her she carefully spliced in several modules to avoid triggering a power drain or surge and once she was certain what the results would be she activated them with a few simple commands on her wrist pad.

[Okay Seraphim, roof security is temporarily down,] Paragon sent once she was assured everything was working satisfactorily and set about shutting down her optical cloaking feature to let her suit’s batteries recharge. [By taking this elevator shaft we can bypass most of the security in the building, although we’ll have to access the prison and Negative Zone portal levels via a separate elevator. Are you able to get a read on the minds of anyone inside?]

[There’s a great deal of shielding making it impossible for me to get a read of anyone inside,] Seraphim sent back regretfully. [It’s not enough to interfere with our link but my range is severely limited by it.]

[Damn, they must have installed that to deal with any telepathic prisoners to prevent communication or calling for help,] Paragon cursed. [We’ll have to rely upon our conventional senses then until we can find a junction box or computer network that will let us access the security systems.]

As such she specializes in producing alcoholic beverages and consumables; including orange juice, grape juice, and other food-related items. She may produce up to one gallon per turn of any mixture she desires. Whether this is a power-related limitation or a psychological limitation that could be overcome in time is unknown at this time, as is whether or not she’d have to consume some of the material she wished to produce before she could manufacture it or if she could simply come into physical contact with it instead.

Invulnerability to Toxins (Special): Mixmaster is immune to the poisonous effects of alcohol and may consume unlimited quantities with no ill effect.

Pheromones: Mixmaster continuously generates a cloud of mind-altering pheromones of Excellent potency that encourage those around her to follow her every whim. The nature of these chemicals is such that they gain a 2CS bonus in regards to affecting the inebriated.

TALENTS

Mixology +3CS; Heir To Fortune; Seduction.

HISTORY

Valerie grew up one of several wealthy spoiled brats of equally spoiled and wealthy parents and cultivated a party girl image that only saw college as a way to find an easy selection of people to party with since she had plenty of money from her parents that she had no need for a degree or an actual job in the mundane world of those too poor to party like she could. One of her party nights ended up changing all that forever after a keg party of home-brewed liquor that was contaminated by some unknown bacteria poisoned everyone who drank from it, killing everyone but Valerie.

Recovering after months of hospitalization and learning nothing from her experience she returned to her partying lifestyle only to suffer the humiliation of inexplicably getting soaked and dripping in whatever it was she drank at the time. Hiding herself from the crowds of admirers from the shame she eventually worked out a little of what had happened to her and with a diligence motivated by a desire to return to her party lifestyle she eventually learned to control her ability to produce any drink she desired to turn it on and off at will and quickly returned to the party scene where she learned the next benefit she’d gained from her near-death experience, namely her ability to control the weaker-willed of her party crowd.

She was slow catching on at first how much easier it was to get what she wanted from a particular person she wanted something from, but eventually it dawned on her she could get someone to just about anything for her and wasn’t above exploiting it for her personal benefit. Being the selfish and amoral creature that she was she had no problems pushing her drunken victims to all sorts of mischief in her service and found she liked the name that they started calling her for her always being able to serve up whatever anyone wanted to drink no matter how obscure and adopted Mixmaster as her handle for the crowd that was ‘in’ enough to serve her as she felt she should be served.

CONTACTS

Valerie has no real contacts outside of her crowd of drunken admirers, as her family finds her public indiscretions embarrassing and would cut her off completely if they could.

ENEMIES

A number of government agencies would love to lock Valerie up but as they can’t actually catch her committing any crimes and their undercover agents end up compromised by her pheromones before they can work close enough to her to out her they’ve had a fruitless time of it so far.

PERSONALITY

Valerie is driven by a love of men, women, drink, and the party life in general. She dispenses her alcoholic beverages freely in order to maintain a crowd of people devoted to her and keep them all in a happy and drunken stupor and easily controllable by her. Between her ability to create the drinks to keep them drunk and her mind-controlling pheromones she has dozens of eager and not-too-bright minions to shower her with whatever gifts she’s got her eye on. She’s never shy about sending out her followers to get her whatever she wants and indifferent to any that end up jailed as a result as she can always produce more and has little if any concern for anyone beyond herself.

Well I'm glad you like her she was fun to create, made for a challenge finding a unique power for her and getting it put together though. Need a few more of the challenging yet stupid evil villains liike Valerie here since not everyone's a dedicated evil like Scorpion or Dr. Octopus.

TALENTS

Military; Politics.

HISTORY

Adolph Hitler’s actions are well known to most of the world, what few know however is that he survived the destruction of his physical body at the end of WWII by transferring his mind into an artificial brain created from his own tissues by the nazi scientist Arnim Zola. He spent years afterwards tormenting the world in various cloned bodies under the alias of the Hatemonger, until a scheme with his former underling the Red Skull resulted in his mind being trapped in a powerless cosmic cube. Trapped he remained their mostly forgotten for years until the cube began to awaken and he began warping reality, only to have his power eventually usurped and his mind evicted from the cube, seemingly lost to the void, but this was not the case.

Free from the confines of the cube after so long his mind automatically returned to the artificial brain created to house it so many decades before, and from there he was eventually able to contact Zola who on the sly took up the challenge of creating a new host body for his original master. Having already been successful in creating a cloned body of Captain America for the Red Skull to possess when his own had died of old age he offered the same for Hitler but he had grander goals in mind, for surely the greatest Aryan deserved a better body than that of a ‘merely’ human entity, even one as physically perfect as Steve Rogers. No he had to have more, he had to have a god, he had to have Thor.

With care and consideration Zola set about incubating a new body for his master, one created from cells stolen from the same labs used to create the cyborg Thor used to devastate the heroic community. With his expertise in creating clones and mind transfer it was easy for him to set up the new body and transfer Hitler’s mind into that of the vacant clone, and once more one of the most iconic examples of evil ever to be birthed by the human race walked its soil once again. Discarding his old secret ID as the Hatemonger he decided no more would he hide himself from the world as he did then, for he had the power now he never had in his old body he’d let himself get too tied to, he would instead be the new Master Man, for surely he would now be the master of the human race.

CONTACTS

Arnim Zola; Any neo-nazi and white supremacist groups.

ENEMIES

Red Skull; Captain America; Namor; Android Human Torch; and virtually any others with reason to oppose Adolph Hitler and his genocidal leanings.

PERSONALITY

What’s there to say that anyone wouldn’t already know; he’s a power-mad racist and anti-Semite who feels all mankind should serve him, and the only race worthy of ruling is a pure white race. Now that he’s got a body of a god to walk around in he’s only more lost to the madness of his own superiority.

OK I have got to say, Hitler being cloned into an Aryan god is a genius move! So much so Im gonna steal this idea for my own campaign. Im amazed nobody ever thought of it before in the comics. Dude, my hat is so off to you on this one. This is the coolest thing this time since the Red Skull was cloned into a Captain America body.

*laughs and nods* When I posted him last year he didn't get anywhere near the enthusiastic response you've given him. Frankly I'm surprised that they haven't done it either since they've already established the technology being available with the Red Skull's resurrection and the relatively recent release of a clone of Thor as a tool of the SRA. I hope you get a lot of fun surprising your group with him and do let he know how that goes when you do. You could even consider him having a tech-hammer fashioned for him similar to what the clone had or other kind of weapon to go with his new godly body.

Well ole Hitler was alway after magical atifacts, one of them being the Spear of Destiny. That would be a good one for him since it was used to "slay" a God before.

Good point, I'd forgotten that aspect that was so often played up in the DC universe pre-crisis. So he's either hunting it or he's fashioned a high-tech spear to use in its place while his minions hunt for the original. Either way a good combo for this most evil of men.

As a student of the occult you could have him know sorcery on a level camparable to say Doom to round out his poweers. And I can see him with some killer nazi tech or weapons. You know, I think Im going to do an art piece of my concept of your character here. He's gonna end up looking like a cross between Doom, Thor and the Iron Monger by the time Im done.

Well Hitler's never been shown to have any magical aptitude or skill but I suppose reborn into the body of a god he might study magic as well, although I think he'd be too stuck on his physical power to take time out for that kind of study. But this is a what-if version and if you think for your campaign he went that far go for it.

In old DC comics, Hitler used the Spear of Destiny to summon a group of Valkyries..

Hitler, in the body of a god, with powerful tech or magic weapons, with Valkyrie handmaidens... very scary...

Well with or without the Final Ragnarok story Hitler shouldn't be able to call up the Valkyrie to serve him in Marvel anyway (even the Spear of Destiny is a Christian thing no reason it should summon minions of a non-christian religion) but that doesn't mean he couldn't have highly trained or genetically engineered or cloned troops done up in the Valkyrie image. Particularly if he's using Zola for building his troops.

Sure you clone Thor, why not the Valkyrie as well. I can see ole Hitler wanting a force/harem of his own valkyries at his beck and call. Plus they would all look just as aryan as Thor.

Well that'd require Hitler getting some of her DNA to clone her and while Thor's was available to bring forth the new Master Man it's unlikely Valkyrie's is available to clone an army of mega-powerful Valkyrie to serve him. Plus it isn't like he has to clone her to make such an army, he could just as easiliy snatch up Malus or his Power Broker technology to create powered-up women for his armies. Toss in some brain-washing so that they think that they really are valkyrie and he's their liegelord and he's all set. Besides Hitler's canny enough to not want to have his minions too close in power to what he has now in case they turned on him like the Red Skull did. With decent results from the PB process he could have female (and male) warriors in the Incredible FASE range and modest Body Resistance who'd still be a challenge for dozens if not hundreds of normal humans.

Well such evil is always disturbing to look at but must be faced for good to succeed and he makes the kind of villain that's truly evil for a player group to battle for years in on and off battle trying to prevent his schemes from coming to fruition. For players that enjoy battling true evil instead of the grey scale some push he gives you a clear 'okay anything this guy's trying to do we stop, period.'.

Nightstalker Character Sheet

Nightstalker

Character Name: Nightstalker
Height: 6’ 2” (7’ in armored form)
Weight: 188 Lbs. (564 Lbs in armored form)
Sex: Female
Age: Actual age 3 years old, apparent physical age 24
Power Category: Demihuman: Felinoid
Source of Superhuman Powers: Genetic Hybridization of mutant DNA with that of a black panther.

Fighting: Incredible (40)
Agility: Amazing (50)
Strength: Remarkable (30)/Unearthly (100)
Endurance: Incredible (40)/Unearthly (100)
Reason: Excellent (20)
Intuition: Monstrous (75)
Psyche: Incredible (40)

Health: 160/290
Karma: 135
Resources: Poor (4) courtesy of the occasional grateful handout from someone she’s rescued and who isn’t blinded by the SRA rhetoric in the media.
Popularity: -6 (as a non-registered super-human ALL media coverage is automatically slanted against her, no matter how positive her actions are).

POWERS

Enhanced Senses (all): All of Nightstalker’s senses operate at the Unearthly level of sensitivity. She suffers a penalty of 1CS against any attacks that specifically target any of her senses in order to resist them, and an extra 1CS of damage if she fails to resist. She does not however suffer extended recovery times as her regenerative abilities compensate, allowing her to recover in the standard amount of time.

Tracking: Unearthly tracking by a combination of scent and other disturbances in the environment.

Nightvision: Amazing ability to see in near total darkness. Note that this requires at least a glimmer of light in order to function, so is useless in settings where the darkness absolute, like underground in a cave.

Stealth: Excellent ability to move without detection, imposing a 5CS penalty on all means of tracking her when in her natural form. Her ability to move stealthily is dependent upon being in her natural furred form, shifting to metallic form reduces her power rank to Poor or may be impossible depending on the conditions at the time.

Hyper-Running Remarkable land speed, covering up to 6 areas/turn, reaches this speed in one turn, and runs as if having Unearthly Endurance.

Natural Weaponry/Claws: Nightstalker possesses natural claws of Excellent material strength materials capable of inflicting Excellent edged damage in her normal form, raised to Amazing material strength and Amazing edged damage in her armored form.

Natural Weaponry/Teeth: Nightstalker has sharp durable teeth of Excellent material strength capable of inflicting Excellent edged damage when biting, raised to Amazing material strength and Amazing edged damage in her armored form.

Armored Form: Nightstalker can instantly shift from flesh and blood to an organic steel form that grants the following benefits: Amazing protection from physical and energy attacks; Monstrous versus heat, flame and cold; and does not require food, water or air to survive, although cannot survive indefinitely in a vacuum without extra equipment. She may also take damage in her armored form to her internal organs that could be potentially lethal upon returning to her non-armored form (although given her regenerative abilities this would be extremely difficult to pull off). While in armored form she is extremely susceptible to magnetic attacks, which can hold her in armored form unless she can succeed on a Red Psyche feat to forcibly revert to flesh and blood.

Blending: Nightstalker’s black fur allows her to blend into dark, shadowy locations with Amazing ability. This ability is negated while in armored form.

Teleport-Self: Shift-Y ability with a maximum range of 5 miles. Like Nightcrawler she leaves behind the smell of sulfur and a cloud of smoke whenever she teleports. Power Stunts include the following:
-Double normal range, increasing her limit up to 10 miles, requires an Endurance feat to avoid passing out from the strain for 1d10 turns.
-Teleport extra material and passengers up to her current Strength limit, with any passengers required to make an Endurance feat to avoid passing out for 1d10 turns.

Wall-crawling: Amazing ability to climb along any surface, although cannot do so while in her armored form.

Regeneration: Amazing rank Regeneration allows Nightstalker to rapidly recover lost health, recovering health 50 times faster than normal.. This power appears to work even at zero health and can even regenerate from decapitation if given the opportunity, but not from such radical destruction as disintegration or destruction of a significant portion of her body.

Recovery: Nightstalker has Amazing rank recovery, allowing her to recover lost Endurance ranks hourly on a successful power rank feat roll.

Invulnerability to Toxins, Gases, Drugs, Disease, and Aging: Nightstalker’s superior regenerative capabilities and enhanced physiology grants her CL1000 resistance to the listed attack forms.

Animal Empathy: Amazing ability to communicate with mammalian carnivores and influence their reactions, although cannot outright control them.

Berserker Rage: Nightstalker can enter into a berserker rage on a yellow psyche feat or better. While berserk she has the following bonuses and penalties: +1CS to Fighting and Strength; immune to stun and kill results; Unearthly Iron Will; prone to attacking anyone, friend or foe, unless on a yellow or better Psyche feat; and requires 10d10 turns or a red psyche feat in order to leave the berserker state early after the conflict is over.

Optic Blast: Monstrous rank force blast with a range of 3 areas, -1CS for each additional area. As this power is derived from the DNA of Cyclops it carries similar penalties and benefits, namely she is immune to the Optic Blasts and Plasma Bursts of Cyclops and Havoc, and they are similarly immune to her Optic Blasts (although none of her other attacks).

Extra Body Part/Prehensile Tail: Allows for one extra attack per turn, striking with Remarkable fighting ability, doing either good blunt damage or allowing for tripping or entangling an opponent.

TALENTS

Nightstalker has few talents as a result of her relative immaturity, so currently she has an instinctive ability for Acrobatics, Tumbling, Student, and a good grasp of English. With more involvement with humanity she should learn new talents quickly.

CONTACTS

New Avengers

HISTORY

Nightstalker is a product of the US Government’s recent efforts to create super-human operatives to enforce the SRA. One of the projects to custom-combine existing superhuman abilities to tailor them for specific purposes (in this case pursuit and capture of unregistered superhumans) it proved impossible to successfully interface the cyber-brain with the rest of her organic body as her regenerative abilities rejected every effort to make it work. Written off as a failure she was relegated to disposal and left in a storage area pending destruction, during which time she rejected the mechanical cyber-brain and regenerated for the first time a totally organic brain.

Operating on animal instinct at first she slipped out of the facility and acted to conceal herself from her creators and humans in general. Over the following months living on the outskirts of humanity she managed to learn English from studying the humans in the Amish community she eventually gravitated towards. Afraid to be seen she nonetheless began to help out in little ways at night when she could best operate without detection, and felt contentment in her little acts of charity, but it was not to last.

Finally tracked down by SHIELD in its effort to locate what as far as they were concerned was a malfunctioning thing instead of a living, sentient creature a terrible battled ensued as they sought to recover or destroy her. While she managed to win the battle (with some help from Captain America’s resistance fighters) her quiet life was forever destroyed, along with much of the Amish community she’d grown to care about. Realizing she’d never know peace while SHIELD and the SRA was in power, and having learned her origins in the course of the battle, she set out to join Captain America’s resistance movement and fight for her freedom to choose the course of her own life.

PERSONALITY

Nightstalker is still quite the innocent given her age, which can lead to problems as she still has so much to learn. She’s feral enough she has to work to control her impulses when it comes to killing a problem rather than simply rendering it harmless, and often requires help from comrades to restrain her from doing something she’d regret afterwards. A few virtues she absorbed from the Amish are not bothering anyone else or troubling others and being scrupulously honest, along with a desire to learn more about the higher power they claimed created everything, feeling as if perhaps her existence in some way is a result of Him and she has a purpose far greater than those who created her wished for her. This means she sometimes will pester someone regarding their beliefs about God and is doing everything she can to learn how to read and write sufficiently to study all the material available about the topic. Given the opportunity she’d apply herself just as diligently to learning Hebrew, Arabic, and any other language to study religious texts in those languages about other faiths.

Procyonoids

Power Category-Alien Race: Procyonoids
Appearance: All Procyons appear as cute anthropomorphic raccoons dressed in simple loincloths.
Height: Roughly 4’ tall on average
Weight: Around 68 lbs. on average
Age: The average Procyon is billions of years old, with the youngest being millions of years old.

Fighting: Excellent (20)
Agility: Excellent (20)
Strength: Good (10)
Endurance: Shift-Y (200)
Reason: Shift-X (150)
Intuition: Shift-X (150)
Psyche: CL1000

Health: 250
Karma: 1300
Resources: CL1000
Popularity: 10

POWERS

Enhanced Senses (all): Procyons have all the conventional senses of mortal creatures enhanced far beyond most mortal capabilities, giving them Shift-Y sensitivity with all senses.

Protected Senses (all): The cosmically-evolved nature of the Procyon race provides them CL1000 protection from any and all attacks on their senses, no matter what the source or intensity.

Expanded Sensory Range: All Procyons are capable of seeing and otherwise sensing across the entire electromagnetic spectrum at Shift-Y levels of sensitivity, as well as hear any frequency of sound, and gain the benefits of the following powers as a result of their hyper-enhanced senses:
-Microscopic vision: Unearthly
-Telescopic Vision: CL1000
-Penetration Vision: Shift-X
-True Sight: Shift-X

True Flight: As a result of their natural ability to manipulate all forms of energy, including gravity, all Procyons are capable of flying at CL5000 speeds in space and may generate a sphere around them capable of carrying up to 1000 tons in flight and maintain life support for any passengers.

Life Support: The Procyon race evolved beyond the need for food, water, or air billions of years ago, subsisting on their own internally generated energies instead. They are also impervious to hostile environmental extremes with CL5000 resistance to all such hazardous exposure.

Electromagnetic Energy Generation and Control: All Procyons are capable of manipulating and generating any energy contained within the electromagnetic spectrum, including gravity, with Shift-Y ability. Common power stunts include the following:
-Fire force or energy bolts of any form of energy doing up to power rank damage at power rank range.
-Render themselves and others invisible to all forms of electromagnetic energy detection with Shift-Y ability
-Phase through all forms of matter and most force fields with Shift-X ability
-Communicate via radio waves and other electromagnetic emissions with Shift-Y ability.
-Absorb energy attacks of up to Shift-Z rank and divert it into healing, strength, or simply add it to their energy stores.

Energy Solidification: All Procyons can produce solid energy constructs of a red energy plasma at the Shift-Y level that they can use for a variety of effects, limited only by their creativity and force of will. Common constructs include simple structures, cages, carry spheres, and support columns all the way up to complex devices limited only by the Reason feat required for the device in question. The duration of these objects is fully up to the Procyon in question and can be effectively permanent so long as they aren’t destroyed or dispelled by their creator or another of their race.

True Invulnerability: Procyons are extremely resistant to harm and possess Monstrous protection from all attacks save those of a magical or Psionic nature, reducing the damage 9CS before applying the remainder (if any) to them.

Regeneration: Sustained as they are by the vast energies that they generate all Procyons regenerate at Shift-Y speeds, recovering lost health and replacing damaged or lost tissues 200 times faster than a mortal being as well as recovering lost Endurance ranks at a rate of one per turn.

Invulnerability to Mental, Emotional, Vampirism, and Power Manipulation: As a result of their evolution and vast control over energy and by extension matter all Procyon have CL3000 resistance to the listed attack forms.

Immorality: All Procyons are immortal, completely immune to the ravages of time, disease, and toxins. Only an attack capable of dispersing their molecules over a sphere several light years in volume can permanently slay one.

Matter Manipulation: Due to their ability to manipulate energy and produce energy constructs capable of such complexity Procyons can refine that control to allow them to manipulate, restructure, and even create any element or molecule desired in any arrangement or combination that they wish with Shift-X ability. They are fully capable of creating new lifeforms as well, primarily though this option is used in creating the plant and animal life to inhabit any new world their race is working on.

Shape-shifting: Shift-Y ability to modify their appearance to disguise themselves as a member of any race that they desire.

Total Memory: Shift-Y recall of anything and everything that the Procyon has experienced in perfect detail and clarity.

Hyper-Invention: All Procyons have the instinctive ability to comprehend, design, develop, repair and innovate any technology that they desire with Shift-Y ability and receive a -3CS reduction to resource feats in regards to any efforts to create technology without making use of their ability to create the desired item out of existing materials.

Linguistics: Due their extensive sensory abilities and advanced minds Procyons can learn any language no matter how alien or esoteric with Shift-Z ability and communicate as fluently as a native on a successful power feat check.

Cosmic Awareness: As a result of their evolution to cosmic status all Procyons are in touch with the universe at the Shift-Z level of awareness.

Extra Body Part/ Prehensile Tail: All Procyons have long, multi-ringed raccoon tails roughly as long as they are tall.

TALENTS

Engineering; Electronics; Astronomy +3CS; Astrophysics +3CS; General Physics +3CS; Particle Physics +3CS; Quantum Physics +3CS; Nuclear Physics +3CS; Biology +3CS; Botony +3CS; Some Procyons will have additional talents depending on what they’ve chosen to occupy themselves with.

HISTORY

The Procyon race evolved into sentience in the galactic core billions of years ago where the heavy element density is particularly high due to rapid stellar collapse and recycling of super-nova remnants into new star systems. Evolutionary pressures were fierce as they rapidly climbed up from their primitive beginnings into a star-spanning race and eventual immortality and vast energy manipulating abilities to cope with the intense energy fields permeating the core.

Curious and inventive they spent millions of years studying the star-rich expanses of the galactic core of the galaxy known as the Milky Way by the humans who evolved billions of years later before deciding with all that accumulated knowledge that they wanted to do more than just study and learn. No they decided to tinker and experiment and after millennia of that decided as a race what they wished to do: create new worlds and remake dead ones to be new cradles of life once again. A daunting project but what else could occupy an immortal race for any length of time as they measured it in a serious fashion?

Slowly spreading outward from the core they found things quickly growing more difficult than they’d originally envisioned along the way, and being as they couldn’t reproduce anywhere near as fast as it’d take to keep up with the growing volume within their influence (a common problem with near-immortal races, the drop to near zero population growth) they ended up drafting the occasional talented mortal and endowed them with a mind-controlled device granting them similar albeit weaker powers to themselves.

With the passage of time there are now thousands aiding the Procyons in the remaking or building of thousands of worlds across the galaxy and populating them with new life; a daunting task as some over the millennia have fallen prey to Galactus and other destructive events, but they continue on. After all, what better way to leave your mark on the universe than by uncounted worlds that would never have existed if not for you?

CONTACTS

As a race those being chosen to aid them in their galactic renovation process; individuals may also form contacts with those outside the beings chosen to help them out.

ENEMIES

As a race those who oppose for whatever reason their star system and planet remodeling projects, individuals those based on whatever they might have done to produce an enemy.

PERSONALITY

Generally speaking an ‘average’ member of their race is kind, friendly, curious, and wouldn’t hurt anyone. They love to build and create things, from futuristic technology to entire planets and everything in between. Some may be more serious, amorous, or goofy depending on individual development, but all are good and act for the betterment of the universe.

Black Velvet

Super-hero ID: Black Velvet
Name: Velvet
Power Category-Demihuman: Chiropteran
Origin of Super-human Powers: Exposure to cosmic ray event by a black bat while within the proximity of the original Fantastic Four.
Appearance: Velvet is a tall, slender yet muscular, yet not unattractive black-furred anthro bat (provided you can look beyond the sharp pointy teeth and general public belief all bats are vampire bats and drink blood). She tends to wear whatever’s comfortable and doesn’t mind Daisy Duke’s and a tank top when she’s relaxing, all other times she wears a deep blue costume that covers her from the neck down and to her wrists and ankles.
Height: 6’
Weight: 192 Lbs.
Sex: Female
Age: 6, apparent age 20

Fighting: Amazing (50)
Agility: Incredible (40)
Strength: Unearthly (100)
Endurance: Unearthly (100)
Reason: Amazing (50)
Intuition: Incredible (40)
Psyche: Amazing (50)

Health: 290
Karma: 140
Resources: Amazing
Popularity: -12 (Being an anthro bat makes acceptance difficult, and negative media coverage due to the SRA doesn’t help)

POWERS

Enhanced Senses (Hearing, Smell): Velvet’s senses of Hearing and Smell are extremely sensitive and acute, as such she possesses Monstrous rank sensitivity with both of these senses and can hear well into the infra-sonic and ultra-sonic range of sound.

Tracking: Velvet may track by scent with Monstrous ability.

Nightvision: Velvet enjoys Monstrous rank night vision, allowing her to see normally in near total darkness. She suffers no penalties in low-light conditions to detecting anything normally detectable by sight.

Sonar: Velvet can generate a three-dimensional image of her surroundings up to 10 areas away with Amazing ability via both ambient sound or if necessary by emitting an inaudible high-frequency sound. Unlike Daredevil bats are particularly adept at dealing with clutter and multiple targets within their signal range and suffer no added penalties in an overly chaotic situation. It is however possible to jam the active signal provided an opponent were able to detect it somehow and generate a counter-sound to nullify it.

Natural Weaponry/Claws: Velvet has Incredible material strength claws on both her hands and feet that may strike for Incredible edged damage and uses them if necessary to improve her chances of clinging to surfaces by sinking them into the material in question.

Natural Weaponry/Teeth: Similar to her claws Velvet possesses Incredible material strength teeth and hyper-strong jaws, allowing her to bite for Incredible edged damage.

Flight (Winged): Amazing air speed, treat Agility as Monstrous while in flight. Her flight is completely silent and unsuspecting targets require a Red Intuition feat in order to detect her in time to react if she’s attempting to ambush/blindside them. She may also hover in place as well as glide on air currents if desired. She may carry up to Amazing loads in flight, although this requires her to expand her wings to provide sufficient lift.

Aerial Adaptation: Velvet is perfectly adapted for flight, immune to vertigo and dizziness, and may cling from surfaces and hang upside-down without difficulties. Her neck also has a wider turning radius than that of a human, able to rotate up to 180 degrees from her forward facing naturally, letting her look directly behind her without turning or resorting to her shape-shifting ability.

Suspended Animation: Velvet may enter into a hybernative state with Unearthly ability, allowing her to go months if desired without requiring food, water, or more than a minimal amount of air.

Elongation: Black Velvet may stretch any part of her body with Unearthly ability and range. Power Stunts include:
-Grapple up to two opponents with Unearthly ability by stretching her arms and binding her targets in them.

Plasticity: Black Velvet has Unearthly rank malleability and near total control over her physical structure. Power stunts include the following:
-By enveloping an explosive device she may smother and contain it within the confines of her body, letting her suppress up to Monstrous explosive damage without harm, and Unearthly at the expense of taking Excellent damage due to the effort to contain it.

Human Changeling: As a result of the admixture of human genes with her own bat-like DNA and the malleability inherent in the powers of Mr. Fantastic Black Velvet may mimic any human she desires with Amazing ability and unlimited duration. Given her powers she often replicates members of the Fantastic Four when seeking to do good without the hassles inherent in her non-human appearance.

True Invulnerability: Black Velvet’s physical resilience and adaptability grants her Incredible protection from all forms of attacks (impose a 7CS penalty on all incoming attacks save those of a magical or Psionic nature), and she may raise this to Amazing rank while mimicking the Thing and his rocky hide.

Regeneration: Black Velvet heals far faster than normal, as such she has Amazing rank Regeneration and Recovery, regaining lost health 50 times faster than normal, and lost Endurance ranks on a power feat every 10 turns.

Fire Generation: Black Velvet may generate flames of up to Unearthly intensity and fire them up to power rank range. She currently has one power stunt:
-By concentrating for one turn she may explode in a Nova flame, causing Shift Z damage out to one area away from her current location, and Shift-X damage from there to five areas away. Afterwards her flame powers will be reduced to Feeble for 1d10 turns and must make an Endurance feat to avoid passing out for 1d10 turns from the strain

Fire Control: Unearthly ability to manipulate fire, whether naturally occurring or power based within her area of effect. Power stunts include the following:
-Reshape her flames to create cages, barriers, etc. of up to Unearthly intensity flames.
-Absorb existing flames with Unearthly ability, although if forced to absorb greater than Unearthly intensity flames she will be forced to make a Red power feat each turn to avoid bursting into a Nova-explosion. As such she will always attempt to flee to a safe distance before she’s forced to detonate.

Energy Sheath (Fire): Black Velvet may sheath her body, whole or in part, in Unearthly intensity flames. Her control is precise enough as to allow her to ignite just a single finger. Objects of less than Amazing material strength will melt and vaporize before being able to inflict any harm upon her and anyone attempting to strike her will suffer damage equal to the current intensity of her flames.

Invulnerability (Heat and Flame): CL1000

Hyper-Invention: Monstrous rank increase to Reason to comprehend, design, repair, and improve upon existing technology as well as invent new technologies as desired. She also enjoys a bonus of a -2CS reduction to the Resource feat cost before making the check.

Force Field: Monstrous rank protection from all attacks, capable of covering up to 1 area at full strength, dropping 1CS for each area beyond the first, to a maximum of 9 areas, and may maintain it at full strength at maximum extension on a red psyche feat for 1d10 turns before collapsing for 1d10 minutes from the strain.

Invisibility (Physics): Amazing ability to render herself undetectable by visible, UV, and infrared light. Thanks to the coaching of the Invisible Woman she has developed the following power stunts as well:
-Render other objects and being invisible at power rank range.
-Render selected parts of an object invisible, allowing her to seemingly peal away layer after layer to investigate something. This is generally used to investigate objects that might prove dangerous, like bombs, to determine safe ways to disarm them, or to peal away parts of a human to search for possible injury without requiring invasive surgery or when lacking available scanner technology.
-Generate a sphere of invisibility, rendering everything within its confines invisible.
-Negate physics-based invisibility on an opposed feat roll of the intensity of invisibility she seeks to dispel against her own power rank.
-Detect the use of Physics-based Invisibility with Amazing ability and power rank range.

Costume: Made of Remarkable material strength unstable molecules it provides no added protection but allows her to use the full range of her powers without fear of ruining her outfit.

Headquarters: Hidden in the mountains of West Virginia, constructed using salvaged materials (the structure itself a long forgotten and abandoned Sentinels Base) and technology acquired from defeated foes or helpful allies, Velvet maintains a well-shielded base far from the areas where humans travel. Along with the Unearthly rank shields against detection it contains deluxe living quarters, several scientific labs, a variety of entertainment centers, master control computer (Amazing Reason, Shift X firewalls), library, Danger Room and Exercise Gym (Unearthly Reason), Trophy Room, and a weapons bunker where she keeps a variety of unique or powerful weapons taken from defeated foes.

Scanner Mask: With the proliferation of tracking technology intended to locate all super-humans Velvet has constructed a device concealed within a simple necklace that provides Unearthly protection from all means of detecting and tracking her, or otherwise determining her non-human nature.

TALENTS

Aerial Combat +2CS; Engineering; Electronics; Robotics; Computers; Repair/Tinkering; Acoustics +3CS; Performer (singing); Spacial geometry +3CS; Pilot +3CS; Music Composition; Mathematics; General Physics; Atomic Physics; Energy and Particle Physics; Quantum Physics.

HISTORY

Velvet was a relatively normal black bat until the fateful day the original Fantastic Four were required to use the cave she was sleeping in as an exit point after a battle with Mole Man and Tyrranus, fleeing the chain-reaction destruction of the cosmic-energy core powering their latest super-weapon of world conquest. Forced to travel single file as the energy raced up the passage it swept through the entire team, carrying the combined genetic imprint of the foursome and infusing that massive collection of genetic potential into the unsuspecting and innocent bat.

Given the haste with which they left the cave they failed to see the tiny bat as she fell down to the cave floor, her black form glowing as the cosmic energies reworked the bat’s entire genetic structure, over a span of hours accelerating her up the evolutionary ladder with not only the genetic potential of four exceptional humans but the super-human powers they possessed as well. Mind and body expanding in a rush it was touch and go whether her rapidly advancing mind and burgeoning self-awareness would fall to madness or not, but in the end as she reached her final state she rose from the ashes to new life and the boundless possibilities now open to her.

Her efforts to interact with humans proved disastrous at first, as she was still learning to control her powers and had the mind of a newborn babe in regards to experience, causing fires and breaking things and terrifying people in general with her inhuman form. This eventually brought the Fantastic Four back to investigate events, where they met and battled for hours before the more experienced team were able to incapacitate Velvet. Drawing sympathy from the Thing (who well understood how it felt to be mistaken as a monster for ones outward appearance), compassion from the Invisible Woman, scientific curiosity from Mr. Fantastic, and his fears about his own powers and risk of injuries to others in regards to the Human Torch, the group chose to help educate the newborn creature and teach her how to use her powers safely and adapt to the new world she’d been brought into.

Mastery of her powers and language came quickly with such aid, and in months her brilliant mind had absorbed incredible amounts of knowledge from both the Fantastic Four and those who visited as well as from the computer systems made available to her while at their headquarters. Adopting their altruistic and helpful nature as well she decided once she was deemed ready able to handle the outside world to became a super-hero in her own right. Challenges were many as she traveled outside of the boundaries of NYC, feeling it more than covered in super-heroes and wishing to aid those communities (of which there were many) without heroic protection.

CONTACTS

Fantastic Four (strained in regards to Mr. Fantastic, due to his support for the SRA and her forced efforts to conceal herself as a result); Red Ghost and his Super-Apes (she aided them during a battle with SRA forces, when they simply wished to flee the country rather then end up in the Negative Zone prison); Werewolf By Night; Frankenstein’s Monster (Adam).

ENEMIES

Dr. Doom; Mad Thinker; Diablo; Super-Skrull; Red Skull; Iron Man; SHIELD.

PERSONALITY

Given the fear she sadly inspires in so many, due to the misconceptions about bats, both the non-anthro kind and the associations with the undead, Velvet is often wrapped up tightly inside of herself, coming off distant and emotionless, but this isn’t the case at all. Indeed she’s a very compassionate and caring creature who wishes she could enjoy the more sociable pleasures in life, but instead to protect herself from the hurt of rejection presents a façade for everyone to bounce off of rather than her heart. Even though she may use her powers to appear human her desire to be accepted for who she is leaves her unwilling to live her existence pretending to be one instead of her natural self but on occasion she’ll force herself to pretend to be human in order to attend some human event she finds enjoyable, like musical concerts or technology shows.

She tends to wear little when she’s alone, preferring the freedom and feel of the air against her fur, saving the full body suit when she ventures out where the public might see.

Harold Smith

Name: Harold Smith
Power Category-Random Mutant
Appearance: Harold is a reasonably tall and lean of build young man with a penchant for living to the artist lifestyle, dressing oddly and engaging in various antics trying to find a ‘hook’ that will find him his way to fortune and fame.
Height: 5’ 10”
Weight: 175 lbs.
Sex: Male
Eyes: Green
Hair: Black (Tends to dye it various non-natural colors to find the right ‘look’ for him, including the occasional rainbow layout)
Age: 20

Fighting: Good (10)
Agility: Good (10)
Strength: Good (10)
Endurance: Remarkable (30)
Reason: Typical (6)
Intuition: Good (10)
Psyche: Excellent (20)

Health: 60
Karma: 36
Resources: Typical
Popularity: 0 (pretends to everyone around him as if he’s more of a 50 in popularity and hoping it eventually makes it reality)

POWERS

Biophysical Control-Mutation: Mutator has the unconscious and sporatically functioning power to cause anyone within one area of his location to become a mutant with Incredible ability. This means that formerly normal humans will become mutants but not necessarily active mutants and as it functions at random is as likely to influence a child in a stroller as an octogenarian hobbling by. This peculiar power also has the ability if its target is a naturally occurring mutant to remove their mutant gene and render them as a completely normal human instead (loses all powers and enhanced abilities and will quickly assume a normal human form, albeit with traces of their original appearance if it radically differed from the human norm). Targets of this power are allowed an Endurance feat to escape its influence (even a Feeble Endurance may resist on a successful Red feat to avoid being turned into a mutant and by the same token even an Unearthly Endurance must make at least a green feat to avoid losing ones mutation). Once someone acquires the mutant gene they function in all ways as any naturally occurring mutant including the general randomness of powers that may occur upon the gene’s activation.

Non-Detection: Due to the peculiar nature of Harold’s mutation he himself does not register as a mutant on most forms of mutant-detecting devices and as such possesses Unearthly shielding from nearly all forms of detection (although a genetic assay will for one with the knowledge determine his powered status).

TALENTS

Artist (Painting, Sculpting); Writing; Anatomy(learned to provide more realistic physical structures in his art);

HISTORY/GAME NOTES AND SUGGESTIONS

Born and raised in the city of Columbus Ohio the area where Harold lived seemed to be a hotbed of mutant activity from how often they seemed to occur around where he lived and played, indeed the percentage of mutants relative to other areas was statistically far higher than the norm. While growing up relatively normal with an artistic bent Harold had no idea that HE was the source of the mutants in his community.

Harold exists both for a story foil to explain how a character might have become a random mutant (or even how they might have become a normal human) and to generate a wide range of conflict and story actions around him. Similar to the mutant with the power to augment other mutants that Apocalypse was after (and who effectively committed suicide) in the earlier days of X-Factor Harold can generate a range of conflicts as people battle to capture or kill him for a number of reasons. Magneto for example could seek to magnify Harold’s powers to make all normal humans mutants thus eliminating such prejudice or could on the flipside seek after him to kill him to prevent anti-mutant factions using him to eliminate all mutants in the campaign world. For a simple character he could conceivably create a range of storyarcs in anyone’s campaign.

CONTACTS

None beyond the occasional fan of his work or the various female groupies he manages to attract.

ENEMIES

Nearly any mutant not wanting to risk losing his powers and conversely nearly any normal human not wanting to become a mutant. This puts him at the top of the hit list for mutants like Apocalypse and normal humans like Striker.

PERSONALITY

Goes the angsty artist route in public or whenever he thinks it'll benefit him but beneath that facade he's just like everyone else with dreams and seeking to make a breatkthru in the artworld or barring that the world of fantasy literature (even has a few sales for covers for fantasy novels that he sold under a pseudonym).

So long as the body is sufficiently intact she may revive it, however as this requires the transfer of a portion of her unique life force into the target it will cost her 50 health and she may not revive someone without at least 50 health available.

TALENTS

Guns; Martial Arts A, C, E; Edged Weapons; Blunt Weapons; Sewing and Tailoring; Streetsmart; Thief.

HISTORY

Georgia Grant started life as a perfectly normal and happy girl until at the age of 12 she found a copy of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in the family bookcase and became fascinated by the idea of bringing life to the dead and building new humans from the remains of others as the novel took over her impressionable young mind. Every effort on her family’s part to remove the notion from her head or channel her energies into what they desired were futile, although to escape their constant efforts to get her to behave as a proper young girl in their opinion she began presenting as much of a normal front as she could while secretly delving into matters in private.

Growing into a proud and confident albeit unconventional young woman she bent all her scholastic efforts into learning everything she could about medicine and life, absorbing every scrap of information she could, no matter how outlandish, and experimenting on the side. It was these experiments that would eventually get her tossed out of medical school, for while she was more than capable of passing certification discovering she’d been using her grants for what was considered such ghoulish purposes got her promptly dismissed for misuse of funds (as well as the programmed horror and religious fervor ingrained in nearly everyone due to the original Frankenstein novel). Desperate for funding and fresh corpses to experiment upon she was easy prey for unscrupulous mobsters eager for another medical professional on the payroll and the potential for creating untraceable assassins and tools from the remains of their victims.

Blinded by her obsession she helped the mob for years while pursuing her experiments and inadvertently helping to dispose of hundreds of witnesses, rivals, and innocent bystanders as she neared success. Then the fateful day arrived that she managed to find the right combination of chemicals, radiation, and body parts and imbued life into the collection of formerly lifeless tissues, and her creation breathed its first breath. Dubbing her creation Lilith, after the first woman created by God along with Adam (and later abandoned when she refused to be anything but equal to her mate), she was giddy at the prospects of demonstrating her to the medical community to prove her theories correct, but her handler for the mob dissuaded her from rushing into that and convinced her that her creation would only best serve her cause if it was shown to be equal or superior to humans and for that it should be educated.

Easily swayed by her mobster liaison whom she trusted implicitly she went along with an educational program to turn her newborn life into an educated woman, never realizing that along with the education in literature and the arts she was getting trained in the arts of killing. When she learned of it she was furious about it and confronted her benefactors over what she felt was the corruption of her creation, and had the scales torn from her eyes as she learned just how much she’d allowed herself to serve evil in her lust to prove the dream she’d held for decades for the noble purpose it was.

Awakened to the travesty she’d made of her pursuit she set about finding a way to save her creation from a life of murder for her benefactors, taking weeks to work out a plan to rescue her and redeem herself. Unfortunately not being skilled at such subterfuge she was caught along with her creation trying to escape the hidden lab she worked out of, and ruthlessly gunned down by the thugs as Lilith watched. Driven into a rage as the only parent she ever really knew died in her grasp she lashed out destroying everything, her full super-human potential rising up as she survived the gunfire as well as the subsequent explosion as she blew up the lab and all the notes on her creator’s research.

Crawling out of the rubble hours later in the depths of the night she wandered aimlessly through the streets, uncertain what to do as she was left to her own devices for the first time in her short life. Difficult as it was she eventually found some measure of acceptance in the slums where the homeless sought shelter, where they gave her food and clothing and an opportunity to process everything she’d gone through. It was during this time she witnessed a group of arrogant and bold kids filled with their sense of entitlement assaulting several homeless people and leapt to their defense. In that moment she found her epiphany, that her life was best served helping protect those in need who had no one else to protect them, and vowed to defend all she could.

CONTACTS

Patchwork has connections with the local homeless community courtesy of her efforts to protect and aid them, giving her aid in concealing herself and basic shelter and necessities.

ENEMIES

The mobsters responsible for her creation hunt Patchwork in an effort to reclaim their product as well as to cover up their activities. She also has problems with the local authorities as her efforts to protect the homeless and weak from harassment end up bringing her into conflict with the members of the community who find abusing the homeless amusing, and because the authorities themselves are often biased against the homeless as they lack the money to buy the level of protection the employed receive.

PERSONALITY

Lilith is in many ways a lost soul seeking her purpose in life, and burdened with guilt knowing that in order for her to live dozens had to die (hundreds really, given the failed experiments before her). As such she fights to protect others from the final darkness and tries to save as many lives as she can, even though she knows it can never really make up for all those lost lives she knows each life saved still matters. Rejecting the efforts to train her to kill and knowing how precious life is she would never kill anyone herself. Hurt though she is at the rejection when normal humans learn of her nature she nevertheless forgives them for their ignorance, instead choosing to be as good an example to everyone she may, and earn acceptance through her actions and deeds.

Supplier

Super-hero ID: Supplier
Name: Unknown (has gone by the names Jason Wyngarde, Alex Summers, and Gregory Lane in the past, along with others)
Power Category-Induced Mutant
Source of Super-human Powers: Unknown
Appearance: Supplier is a short slender white male of plain features and black hair and primarily seen wearing coveralls splattered in paint and other materials. He otherwise dresses quite simply in spite of the vast wealth available to him.
Height: 5’ 6”
Weight: 126 lbs.
Sex: Male
Eyes: Brown
Age: 33

Fighting: Good (10)
Agility: Remarkable (30)
Strength: Good (10)
Endurance: Monstrous (75)
Reason: Monstrous (75)
Intuition: Incredible (40)
Psyche: Unearthly (100)

Health: 125
Karma: 215
Resources: Unearthly
Popularity: 0

POWERS

Bonding: Supplier is capable of causing matter to bond at a molecular level with Unearthly ability and strength, with the strength of the bond starting at Feeble and increasing one CS per turn until reaching a maximum bond strength of Unearthly after ten full turns. This bond is permanent unless he or someone with access to similar powers reverses it.

Molecular Conversion: Supplier has the CL1000 rank ability to convert anything up to one area away into any element or compound he desires, affecting up to 1000 lbs of matter per turn. Elements and simple compounds (roughly 20 or fewer atoms) require a green power feat in order to succeed, more complex compounds and molecules (more than 20 atoms up to around 100 atoms or alloys of different compounds) requires a yellow feat, extremely complex compounds or alloys (like polymers, proteins, and other highly complex molecules most often associated with life) Require a red power feat, as do efforts to create mythical elements or compounds like Uru metal, True Adamantium, or Vibranium. There is also the often forgotten limitation that he must know of the material and how it’s constructed in order to create it, as such without a sample of such materials as Uru, Promethium, or Vibranium he cannot even attempt to create them although he may always attempt to independently discover the formulas for such things as True Adamantium and Vibranium (attempts that could prove disastrous).

Molding: Supplier may manipulate any solid matter within one area with CL1000 ability, affecting up to 100,000 lbs (50 tons) of matter at one time. The complexity of the desired shape reflects the difficulty of the Reason feat involved. Simple single component shapes require a Green Reason feat for success; complex or multi-component designs require a Yellow Reason Feat; Extremely complex designs (trying to reproduce a clock or something more complex) requires a Red Reason feat in order to succeed. Exactly duplicating an existing device also requires a Red Reason feat. The power is automatically successful on non-living, stationary objects unless they have some kind of protection against such manipulation.

Hyper-Invention: Monstrous rank increase to Reason in regards to comprehending, designing, repairing, and improving upon existing technology as well as develop new technologies as needed, and provides a bonus of a 2CS reduction to the Resource feat required to construct something before the feat roll is made.

TALENTS

Business/Finance; Engineering; Chemistry; Biology; Electronics; Computers; Physics; Artist (Sculpting); Pilot.

HISTORY

Little is known about the background of the Supplier and not even his true name is currently known. All that is known is that he appeared on the scene five years before offering his considerable abilities discretely to select individuals and groups and providing just what they needed. He often seems to show up just when someone’s in need of a hard-to-find item or material or a new/refurbished headquarters and always sees to it that what they need is what they get. His ability to supply top-notch equipment and material for apparently no cost has him in great demand but only those he wishes to find him are able to do so or gain his services.

PERSONALITY

Supplier doesn’t seem to care which side of the line for good and evil that he operates on; indeed he’s just as willing to help upgrade the Defenders headquarters as he is to put together the latest lair for Dr. Octopus or provide some key component for the latest villainous super-weapon. Whether he has some hidden agenda or not is unknown but he’s aided more than a few heroes and villains from the sidelines for little more than the challenge of the task at hand. Anonymously donating hard-to-acquire materials to groups like Doctors without Borders also ends up a favorite pastime of his when he’s not dealing with other tasks.

Name: Candice Kane
Power Category-Random Mutant
Source of Super-human powers: Natural mutation
Appearance: Candice is a curvaceous and charming light-skinned black woman with long glossy black hair and a taste for fine fashions and the best that life has to offer.
Height: 5’ 10”
Weight: 146 lbs.
Sex: Female
Hair: Black
Eyes: Silver (wears contacts in order to conceal them)
Age: 23

Fighting: Typical (6)
Agility: Excellent (20)
Strength: Excellent (20)
Endurance: Amazing (50)
Reason: Excellent (20)
Intuition: Incredible (40)
Psyche: Unearthly (100)

Health: 96
Karma: 160
Resources: Amazing (50)
Popularity: 0 (25 in the medical community, 75 with those she’s cured with her powers)

POWERS

Genetic Perception: Splicer may analyze the DNA of any living being within one area with Unearthly ability simply by looking at it and concentrating for one turn. This will allow her to determine the general abilities and powers of the subject in question and may determine any possible defects or latent potential on a successful Green Reason Feat based on her Hyper-Intelligence augmented Reason (so check on the Unearthly column).

Total Memory: Splicer has Unearthly recall of every genetic pattern she has previously encountered.

Biophysical Control-Genetic Manipulation: Unearthly ability to manipulate the genetic structure of any biological organism, including but not limited to increasing/decreasing the FASERIP of a target and instilling or removing powers. She must have encountered someone with the desired ability or power in order to replicate it or succeed on a Red Reason feat with her Hyper-Intelligence bonus added in order to instill a power she hasn’t previously encountered; a failure will result in a mishap resulting in the unpredictable and painful mutation of the target or death. The upper limit on these changes is that of the original ability or power previously analyzed.

Hyper-Intelligence (Genetics): Splicer enjoys a Monstrous increase to Reason for any and all Reason-Related feats in the field of Genetics.

Hyper-Invention (Medical Technology): Along with her enhanced Intelligence in the field of Genetics Splicer receives a Monstrous increase to Reason for any feats related to the construction, modification or development of any medically-related technologies and may reduce the final Resource cost by 2CS before the Resource feat in order to pay for the work is made.

TALENTS

Splicer tends to rely on her powers and has no significant talents beyond them.

HISTORY

Candice was a fairly unmotivated and lazy child growing up, until her mutant powers began to surface that is. While the more passive powers manifested at first the genius she manifested for genetics and medical technology was more than sufficient to see her off to college where she furthered her education, her enhanced genius letting her skate for the most part and walk out with a degree in genetic engineering.

Still skating through life she tossed out a few advances in genetics and advanced medical technology even as she grew more fascinated with the possibilities available to her, especially once she realized she was able to do more than just perceive the genetic patterns of others but modify them as well. Life was somewhat boring as it currently was, and she felt she just wasn’t making enough money compared to what she felt she deserved for her genius.

Knowing from her college studies the vast amount of wealth available to anyone who could provide cures for various diseases and terminal illnesses it seemed a perfect route to go; find someone wealthy or with wealthy relations in need of a cure and sell them one for the right price. Careful inquiries and iron-clad non-disclosure agreements allowed her to add plenty of money to her bank accounts while maintaining her anonymity, until just curing the occasional wealthy patron just wasn’t enough for her, not after she encountered her first superhuman.

Superhuman DNA was so fascinating and the possibilities it opened up to her filled her with something of an obsession, both with tracking down other superhumans to scan as well as individuals to experiment on. Given she already had a career doing under-the-table cures expanding that to include instilling superhuman abilities in others was no more difficult, it just required a few modifications to make it impossible to track things back to her.

Life couldn’t be happier for her with the opportunities to earn lots of money getting to play with the genetics of others, with her handle whispered amongst those she’s empowered as well as those seeking the opportunity to be enhanced by the Splicer.

CONTACTS

Splicer can generally rely upon those she’s healed using her powers if she’s in a difficult situation; although is careful not to call upon them if she can help it lest she wear out the welcome. There’s also the possibility of calling upon anyone she’s empowered to give her support, either out of gratitude or fear she might remove the powers she’s granted.

ENEMIES

Splicer keeps a very low profile and does everything she can to prevent possible discovery by anyone who might have been adversely affected by her genetic tampering, either directly or indirectly.

PERSONALITY

Splicer just loves opportunities to learn a new genetic pattern irrespective of its source; she’s just as happy learning the pattern of a normal human or cat as she is some exotic mutant or superhuman. She also loves getting to toy with those patterns, with or without invitation, trying out new combinations of known patterns and seeing what ones work well together and which do not. Given her amoral nature she’s not adverse to simply randomly modifying someone walking along the street to see how they react to the changes although tends to reserve such changes for those paying for it. When she’s not modifying people and studying genetic patterns she’s often out partying and living the good life.

Nice. Always figured Frank should have some sort of upgrade to his arsenal, esp. since his buddy, Microchip was supposed to be a pretty hotshot genius inventor. And Frank's faced enough super-villains to likely get a few ideas or toys to pass along to Microchip, or someone similar, to adapt for his own crusade.

Yes it's long past due to see Punisher get some real upgrades to keep up with the threats in the Marvel Universe he has to deal with instead of having to be restricted to low grade (relative to many of his opponents) weapons and armor. As someone else pointed out quite often you see even low-level street thugs with energy weapons or inexplicably accessing powerful military weapons and he's still fighting mostly with standard hand guns and weapons. Just makes no sense at all as his having better weapons and armor doesn't diminish him it goes along with his motto of preparing to deal with anything and his determination to have the best to deal with what comes along. He may not be Batman-level genius but he's Batman-level training and preparedness and would go in with getting better technology from someone (like the convenient discovery of a Stark stealth suit during Civil War to break into the FF headquarters and yet standard kevlar body armor when it comes to dealing with some mafia boss).
