Everyone is a lot more obnoxious and prepared to kill. Except Iron Man, who just drinks heavily, and Thor, who is a peace-loving hippy badass and generally absolutely awesome.
Hawkeye is an old-time SHIELD agent with a falsified background and Bullseye's abilities. Or Roy Harper's abilities, which given that he also has Arsenal's look fits rather well.

Only in the very vague conceptual stage. The Authority were all about the widescreen action and big fight scenes. The Illuminati are a subtle influence. They don't get together and beat up bad guys, they get together and talk. And then they go away and beat up bad guys separately, often with their own teams.

Exactly. In this case, he was fighting a completely unknown opponent and a completely unknown style. I suspect if they fought again, Batman would have a much rougher time of it - and that's if Taskmaster didn't get to stand back and watch him a while.
... I take it you have read the Taskmaster limited series, and Gail Simone's work with him on Deadpool and Agent X?

Taskmaster and Batman fought - very briefly - in JLA - Avengers. Batman took Taskmaster out in a single panel.
It's been shown repeatedly in comics that Taskmaster, while deadly against conventional opponents, has trouble fighting people who use unorthodox methods and tactics combined with a sufficiently high level of combat ability. Since Batman has evolved his own fighting style, this p

Or, more likely within the game mechanics, she should have power stunts of powers like Metabolic Resistance, Purge, Armour Skin, Body Resistance, Regeneration or Recovery. After all, repositioned organs and rebooted genes aren't something she has going permanently.
Not to mention extra body parts, which could probably give her an edge in combat. And there's a nifty trick she did once

True, that. In her own recent series, she was shown as being Forge's equal - no better - in unarmed combat. And Forge, while tough and well-trained, is also middle-aged, and has never been a major brawler.

Project Wideawake, the Uncanny X-Men roster book, and Children of the Atom all agree on her having Incredible Endurance. Oh, and Excellent Fighting.

You have a point - it does seem disproportionate. Maybe not so much as Storm or Magneto, because Mystique can and does make herself tougher - but she really shouldn't be that tough.
Especially when Rogue officially only has Good Endurance.

Not to mention the guy with angel wings and healing blood who happens to also be hugely arrogant. And hugely altruistic, but that tends to get overshadowed by his arrogance.

Okay, I haven't read the issues - but exactly how much training do they have? As a comparative example, Cyclops has about twenty-five years combat training and experience, half of it without using his powers, and he's usually reckoned to have only Excellent Fighting. Whereas from what little I know, this new team had basically a few hours training and no real experience whatsoever.

That said, they aren't really attacking him.

It's Xavier's best-kept secret. In between the originals and the All-New, All-Different team there was another team, including the third Summers brother. They all died, except apparently Kid Vulcan (the Summers brother in question) survived.
I haven't been bothering to read it.

On the other hand, Vin Diesel is actually five men, all of whom share a single soul. If ever any two of these men should come face to face, they are required by the laws of fate to absolutely rock the @#$%& out. The last time this happened, the continent of Atlantis sank beneath the ocean. It was worth it.

I see no evidence for Excellent Strength, or indeed Excellent Reason.
Most of his skills he only has a year of training in, two or three at the most. I'd give him Acrobatics, Genetics, Law, Leaping and Tumbling, Martial Arts A and C, Multilingual (a whole bunch, including Russian and Hawaiian), and Thrown Weapons (I could have sworn that playing card trick was Bullseye only).

True, but Captain America is also marginally stronger, and considerably tougher and more agile.
They're both hugely talented. But Bruce's talent is innate (Kuragari, the guy who trained the League of Assassins, reckoned he was the single most talented student he had ever had. David Caine had a similar view, at least pre-Cassandra), and Steve's is more a product of the Serum and

Captain America wins because he's tougher. But slightly less experienced.
... If anyone cares to work out exactly how long he's been unfrozen, we can then take a guess at Cable's age. Because Cable is about twenty years older than Cap in personal time, according to recent comics.

Except that I had Ajax with Typical Agility, and while Cleon, Swan, Cochise and Ajax all rated Good Endurance, the rest I set at Typical.

Well, let's see. Bruce Wayne spent twelve years doing nothing but travel and train. He studied under the greatest martial artists of his world, including Lady Shiva, David Caine, Kuragari, and Richard Dragon.
Steve Rogers knew nothing of combat before he joined the Super-Soldier program. He therefore had, at most, a year of training with the best the US military could muster. Which isn

If I recall rightly, Batman took down Taskmaster the same issue Cap took out Prometheus. And I'd put both of those wins down to the same thing. Both Taskmaster and Prometheus rely heavily on copied skills, not what they learned for themselves. In particular, Taskmaster has Captain America's moves, and Prometheus has Batman's. What they don't have, though, is the brains behind

In the comics, Batman has repeatedly demonstrated Excellent Strength, at least as most people understand it. He can lift well over 600 lbs from the ground. That said, there's really nothing to show his Agility as being the human maximum - he's extremely agile and athletic, but Nightwing is a long way ahead of him.
Cap, on the other hand, has demonstrated superhuman abilities, at leas
