I don't necessaily disagree with your alt. health rule. It certainly makes a good degree of sense.
Of course, just ot provide a few counter-points...
Endurance is quite important. It effects how long one can fight, as well as how difficult or easier they are to stun, slam, and kill.
It is also as much a trained skill as any of the other physical attributes.
And finally, endurance isn't simply a matter of durability, but also stamina. Some of the best conditioned people in the world are relatively thin, with a light bone structure and little bodyt weight. In other words, they are less durable than a heavy or super heavy weight... who, for all their physical durability, could never produce the degree of stamina that a marathon runner or a light wieght boxer could.
Now, that is not to say that there aren't some incredibly resilient light weights out there, but at the end of the day a smaller, lighter frame just can't take the punishment that a big, thick frame can.
So, Endurance is a balance between the two factors of durability and stamina. Some folk with a high End might well be tougher, whilst others might well have a glass jaw but nevertheless be able to go and go without ever tiring.
Anyway, just some food for thought...
