You make a good point, but in Marvel Super Hero's, you also have to take into account the fact that some chracters are able to really dish out and withstand unbelievable amounts of punishment. D&D always made it clear that Hit Points are not just physical withstanding damage, but also other factors to evade damage as well all rolled into one.

But I think MSH, I think the above factor, using STR +(END*3)=Health is the best way of doing it.

The Thing comes away with 300 health points (Str(mon)+END*3(75*3). Which I think is a much better example of how tough he is. Add to it his Body Armor, and I think the Thing is better reflected in the above formulua, and truth be told, so is your Endurance score.

Captain America comes off with 110 Health Points, whereas before he had 140 points. A drop, to be sure, but I think it is more reflective on him.
