Yes I see, however,
if both cappy and thing take exactly the same intensity hit that would would need them to make a kill check then you would find that thing more than likely has a better chance to shrug it off. Where as Cappy would not.

that aside taking your point that all superheros are not make equal if quite valid and I do agree with you.

The fact that Captain america only has his shield which would not proctect him if he was surrounded by an inferno where as the thing has Body armour and would be protected proves your point that they are not all made equal.

I need to ask you the reason for this alteration. Yes I know you feel that something is wrong but if you look at the whole statement that you first put forward to really back up your point you would have to have to characters that would be equally matched but where their health scores are different.

When you look at it according to the judges book.
Thing has 200 health
Body armour: Inc(40) vs Physical attacks
Exe(20) vs Engergy attacks
Captain America has 140
has a Class 3000 sheild against all attacks.

You throw a bolder at both of them that does 140 pts physical damage.

This is Sh-x Damage here.

Block is a defensive ability that uses the
Strength ability to lessen the damage of
physical attacks, which include Grappling,
Slugfest, Edged and Blunt Throwing
attacks, Force attacks (but not Shooting
and Energy attacks) and Wrestling (but not
Charging).

The Block move is an attempt to meet
force with force, and use the individual's
Strength as a form of Body Armor against a
specific attack. The character using a block
may take no other action, but may shield
others behind him. Normal Body Armor, but
not Force Fields, still apply to defense.
The character using the block maneuver
does not attack but counts his Strength as
Body Armor, provided the force can be
physically resisted (use common sense
here -- a fire cannot be blocked, but a pillar
of ice can). Roll on the Universal Table
against Strength to determine the effects.
The notation -6CS, -4 CS, -2 CS, and +1CS
indicates the level of Body Armor gained
taken from the Strength of the character.

Example:A character with an Amazing
Strength wishes to block a punch thrown by
an opponent with Monstrous Strength
(Fighting ability is used to hit, but Block has
no effect on this). The character gets a
green FEAT, -4 CS, which provides him
with equivalent Body Armor of Good. The
character takes 65 points damage. If the
hero had made a red FEAT roll, the
character would have totally blocked the
attack (Monstrous Body Armor against
Monstrous damage attack).

Lets look at both the thing and Cappy.
If they use a blocking action they can use their strength to help block the attack.

Now if they call that they both use Karma then they could essentially both get a + 1CS

Thing has Monstrous (75) strenght
this means that he then can take upto Unearthly 100 pts of damage by blocking.
Then look at his body armour.
this absorbes the remaining 40 pts.
The Thing is not so strong that he would not be hurtling back from the force of this attack. Lets say that he is sandwiched by this attack in that the bolder forces him into the wall of the building (Lets say that the building wall is Remarkable 30(Reinforced concrete, steel). He will more tha likely take Zero Damage due to his body armour of 40 that can take upto Incredible (40) unless said building is make out of adamantium, the Thing is going to emerge some short time later and yell its clobbering time.
Zero Damage.

Captain America has Excelent (20) strength
This means that he could take upto Remarkable 30 pts of damage using the blocking technique. The first 140 points are blocked by his sheild. That said there is no way that Cappy can withstand such a force. And also there is no whay that cappy can destroy said bolder that would weight about 250 tons with his sheild. Now cappy does not have body armour like the Thing.
Same Scenario, he is slammed/ charged at UNEARTHLY intensity, (I am allowing the +1CS to have some effect on the intensity of the bolder here), into the building wall.

Since his shield has essentially taken the damage from the bolder there is no damage. Lets say that the building wall is Remarkable 30(Reinforced concrete, steel) now cappy is still moving at Uneathly Speed into the wall so the wall gets +1CS, Cappy cant block both the bolder and the wall so he takes Incredible 40pts damage.

Reducing his health to 100.

He is now moving at Monstrou Speed

Cappy keeps moving with the momentum of the bolder behind him pushing him along. He clears a path through the building and hits the other wall. (I will allow a further 1CS reduction in speed due to debri.) Remarkable 30(Reinforced concrete, steel).

Now cappy is now moving at Amazing Speed into the wall so the wall gets +1CS, Cappy cant block both the bolder and the wall so he takes Incredible 40pts damage.

His Health is now 60

And this 250 ton bolder is slowing down by 1CS to Incredible (40). I will be generous and say that Cappy manages to miss any major items, cars and the like.

He is charged into the wall of the other building the wall by the bolder and again gains a +1CS and so he takes Incredible 40pts damage.

His Health is now at 20

The Bolder slows down another 1CS to Remarkable(30) again Cappy Clears a path with the help of his friend the bolder and said bolder slows down a further 1CS to Excelent(20). Cappy is charged into The wall Remarkable 30(Reinforced concrete, steel) and takes 30 points of damage from impact with the wall. The bolder can go no futher and Cappy is ejected onto the street with serious damage and internal injury.

(He will need to make a kill check) As he is a good guy he more than likely has Karma set aside and uses this to make a yellow feat roll. He is not dead or going to die unless he takes further damage. But he is out cold.

Are you wondering why the wall recieved a +1CS each time?

This is because the wall and Cappy were closing distance at an assisted rate that gave the wall a +1CS. Also the strenght of the wall is greater than cappys strength

Now I have not made Cappy roll vs slam or stun as I am thinking that he has enough karma to spend to make these rolls each time his takes damage.

Still think that Cappy and the Thing can take the same amount of damage?
