I believe that that is Fangs point though. Once you factor in the Thing's rocklike hide, they CAN'T withstand the same amount of damage.
If an Incredible blow strikes the Thing, he doesn't even sweat it. Someone might as well have rolled up a newspapaer and swatted him with it. If the same blow hits Cap., well, despite all of his well-honed reactions and reflexes, it'll ring his warning bell. Take away the Thing's armour, and indeed the levels of punishment they can take and/or mitigate via coordination and fighting technique begins to even out. Even then, the Thing has 200 Health, whereas Cap "only" has 140, making Thing substantially, ie. 25+ percent, more resilient. ------------------------------------------------  Powersurge (history, pics) [www.classicmarvel.com]
