My homebrewed character Streak has no sense of smell or taste, which as Fangs said, can be used against him rather well. He also has a very severe weakness to strobe effects, which can cause him to go into epileptic convulsions... that kind of weakness is never something you as a GM should have everyone knowing about. The sense of smell/taste thing? Maybe it's fair to make that fairly well known in the villain community, depending on how well known the hero is... but the epilepsy? That's the kind of knowledge that perhaps belongs in the hands of an arch nemesis and no one else... the Lex Luthors and Green Goblins love to hold this info over the hero's head, but they wouldn't share that knowledge with other villains. It's -their- secret, after all... their edge.
