I read the Dodge Revamp thread and my take away from it was that it is a variation of the Basic Roleplaying System's (Runequest, Call of Cthulu, et al,) Attack Roll v. Parry Roll or Attack Roll v. Dodge Roll.

I commiserate with the fact that in the published rules there is no instruction about shifting below Shift Zero.

It is ridiculous that if a character rolls a Red Dodge FEAT (-6CS) and is a small target (-2CS) against a foe with Typical Agility still permits the attacker a Shift Zero (35 percent chance) to hit a target with a 8 shift defensive adjustment.

I came up with the Shift Zero Yellow and Shift Zero Red option.

If the shifting drops the attack 1 below Shift Zero, then success can only be achieved with a Yellow Shift Zero FEAT roll. If the shifting drops the attack by 2 or more columns past Shift Zero, then the attacker must roll a Red Shift Zero FEAT.
