Sorry it took so long to respond.
Real life is preventing me from enjoying my hobbies these days.

Yes, you are correct that a Dodge FEAT can yield up to a 6 CS penalty but the risk is a White result. Also, to get that 6CS a character with Amazing Agility would need to roll a 91 or better (10 percent chance).
I discovered that D20 folks don't like those odds; they like their Amazingly agile characters to get an automatic defensive adjustment, ergo, Experience Level + Skill - Armor Class.

As written the published rules only permit a Dodge FEAT v. ranged attacks and charging attacks. Also, the dodging character has to take a -2CS penalty to his next action, which is better that forfieting the action.

As written the published rules only permit an Evade FEAT v. Slugfest and Grappling attacks at the cost of forfieting any other actions and taking the risk that a White result means an automatic smackdown from the enemy.

Pesonally, I have become less enthusiastic about the automatic defensive adjustment that I had allowed the D20 Crew to use.

The last time we got together was mid-August, and although everyone had a good time, the Dark Magic cast upon them by Wizards of The Coast is mighty; my Marvel Game cannot compete with the juggernaut of D&D.

But that's ok. I tried something different to see how it would play out, it got an overall good reception, but I can't help but be drawn back to the basic nuts and bolts of MSH Combat. . .you have to sweat to defend yourself.

So, what I am going to experiment with next time I get some players together is permitting a defensive roll, that is, a Dodge FEAT v. slugfest and grapple as well as the usual ranged and charge attacks.
The character will not forfiet an action and maybe if they have some Martial Arts like B or C, or if their Agility/Fighting is of suffiecient rank the -2CS penalty is waived.

Evading would remain as is.

Anyway, the next time I get a group together will probably be after the holidays. I have two players who are interested and who have Classic MSH experience and instead of being D20 freaks they are Halo and Warcraft folks.
