So what's the status of Thor then? Is Asgard alive and well or did the 'final end' come at his hands and rebirth free of the nature of Ragnarok as is now being written with the new run of Thor? Also what kind of costs are there for equipment or unique weapons or items?

Well being something that's 'campy' the Marvel Zombies pretty much ignored anything that would have rationally gotten in the way, like doing the math on how much a zombie could eat in a day.

Nice write-up, although if you're modeling Tek from the novel he fits better in the Let's Talk Stats section or is this simply a version of him?

Well there's a bit of confusion since the qualifier after the list of basic costs for talents says 2 slot talents cost twice a single slot talent without stating it excludes talents already costing 10 CP.
Oh I quite well know the limitations of Cosmic Awareness, it's not the uber-power some like to consider it, but still doing quite well so far at the start of Rook's game with i

Hmmm, so just how are you handling the powers of Electromagnetic Energy Generation and Control, also when you refer to banning Cosmic Perception are you dismissing Cosmic Awareness as well?
Given the talents description are you then charging 40 CP for a starred talent like Weapon Specialist or Weapons Master?

Since a what-if is centered around a single point of divergence (at least that's supposed to be the premise) this what-if focused on the point in time when all these individuals crossed paths. With Rom out of the picture at that point Hybrid as victor would have taken the female members of the Brotherhood as breeders with no one else the wiser since it was an isolated event. Even if someon

Well Wolverine as Lord of the Vampires would be a magical creature and Juggernaut's also magical, I suppose it's a possibility, although a big big stretch.

Aunt Petunia's game stats are in the Fantastic Four Compendium under Friends of the FF.

Hybrid was the male child of a dire wraith and a human female. He'd actually fallen in love with her and left his people's evil ways but unfortunately they learned of the child and he was too weak-willed to resist them teaching the child magic and corrupting him. By the time he was a young boy he was totally evil and eventually killed his mother by aging her to death and his father wi

Well while I favor characters more like Hulk or Thor (or my creations like Paragon or Seraphim) I do play weaker characters as well. Perceptor for The_Rook's game for example (posted in the Your Favorites Section) is probably the weakest character of the group yet I'm having a lot of fun playing him.

It's a depressing thought that after loving this site and enjoying the discussions and the people I've met here that it could go away so abruptly. I hope you take someone up on the offer of taking over the site and the hosting of it so that this great creation of yours can continue on Aunt_Petunia even if you can no longer afford to maintain it. Either way you brought us all a wonderf

It's not Tigra's fault the writers like to write single females as either prudes or @#$%& and no middle ground, especially ones with feral or animal templates to their characters. Also by that token need to start calling Luke Cage a @#$%& as well considering we've seen him bragging about all the females he's bagged. His being male doesn't give him any protection in my e

At the least a reference to him for the Hackmasters game since it's making use of the original ruleset he created rather than the 3rd edition stuff that was used to replace it.

I really can't agree with that, when Incredible's where you have to feat to lift at least 10 tons and the Thing in his start simply didn't rate that. Given the way the game actually allows a character with a red feat to exceed their listed maximums in the comics you can't place the beginning Thing in the incredible capacity since not only would he get a yellow feat to lift tw

Early thing could do around 5tons/Remarkable of weight (so his move to the CL100/Unearthly level is astounding, especially compared to so many who started out stronger but only improved by a far less degree), while early Spider-man probably was around 1ton. So Spider-man's original stats are represented by a simple reduction of 1CS across the board (other than for his webbing since it'

He's talking about the Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe that came out a few decades ago (the comic version of the gamer's handbook for this game, but it predates the gamer's version). The original set provided extremely detailed material on most characters with various stats and even some attempt at scientific explanations of various powers and ability (the write-up for Ir

A nice list, although the Thing was only Remarkable strength starting out, not Incredible. I think the Silver Surfer would also have been pretty much the stats we've always seen him at since he is after all a product of a cosmic entity.
Spider-man and the Hulk I think also have game stats given for them when they initially started out (Spider-man's is in the boxed set related to him

I'd like to share that those who didn't join up (other than those simply too busy to of course) have been missing out. The setting is interesting and lots of NPCs to interact with and fill any holes that the PCs don't have covered with regards to skills/powers/abilities. Magneto as a dedicated hero is also nice to see, although being the '1st level mage' of the group I&

Unfortunately intimidation is poorly covered in the rules if at all, since intimidation is as much a nature of body posture and attitude as it is reputation. On many occasion you'll find a story where someone's in a setting where he's unknown and yet more than able to pull off the same measure of intimidation because he projects that aura of 'mess with me and you won't se

I brought that up to someone in a similar thread regarding Marvel Zombies, but considering the reality has other divergences perhaps the Juggernaut of that setting is like the one from X3, a random mutant rather than mystical avatar origin and as such lacking the protection from infection the Earth-616 Juggernaut would have.

It's similar to when Odin split off Thor's humanity and it existed with all the memories but not really any of the powers. It was effectively Blake with just a different look. While they exist in harmony while joined the events of the final Ragnarok have them existing as united beings living within the same mind, much like Banner and Hulk share the same body only Blake and Thor manage

I think he was looking for the ones that weren't treated as stereotypes like the first Proudstarr was, which is why I didn't list American Eagle as he was done up VERY much the stereotype outfitting himself in full indian gear during the issue where he was introduced. Considering that we've seen examples of magical artifacts being used as power sources for high-tech devices what would be the minimum Reason rank required to design a device for such purposes? Also how would one determine the level of energy one could tap into for such an item?
For example we've seen Thor's hammer (the most common example in fact) used to jerry-rig a Quinjet to

Didn't Rage have a similar attitude with regards to minorities? Namely that superheroes didn't really do anything for the little people (although that's a common problem with people, they go 'hey why didnt you help ME?' and tend to ignore the fact that stopping that Doomsday weapon or alien invasion was for their benefit as well). That's even a sub-component of the

A difficult question to answer, since much of it depends on your opinion of the way a particular minority was depicted. Some might see a stereotype another a character meant to be an exception and a third what they expect to see.
For your examples of Luke Cage and Thunderbird both had just enough backstory to justify having a somewhat stereotypical appearance, and while somewhat ghetto Cage d

Uh no there was certainly a Donald Blake, even if Odin attempted to wipe out all evidence of his existence he failed as the brief period after the destruction of all things Asgardian restored Blake to life. He's as much a part of Thor and a living soul if not moreso than Hulk and Banner are to each other. A case of building too well really.

I couldn't help but remember a flashback to a particular instance where Thor during one of his angst periods had gone to the edge of the atmosphere and released his hammer long enough to revert to Donald Blake. From that point he fell back to Earth from those near-vacuum conditions as Blake until at max velocity he impacted the ground with the cane ahead of him so that he transformed to Tho

Thor wouldn't really be making any use of his Fighting ability against Spider-man anyway, he'd use his weather and air control to create conditions under which Spider-man's Agility and Danger Sense would be useless. Just like against Iron Man while he gave him a smack with Mjolnir (and probably thinking him unworthy of being touched by the hammer) he used an EMP to defeat Stark ra
