Sorry, but this seems like dice rolling for the sake of dice rolling.
If a hero is gonna attack a norm, then why do you need to use special tables? if the attack is greater than the targets combined health and endurence scores the target is going to die. period. Why is a special table needed for that. unless you get off on rolling dice, it seems unnecessary.

I also have an issue with ssome of these stat increases.
I commented on Niniri's Psylocke write up that her having Amazing Fighting was just totally unrealistic, especially given her history and record of wins and losses against various characters.
There are some who state that there has been development of these characters' abilities beyond the stats they were initially given i

I can't say that I've read Exiles since Claremont took over, but these stats really bother me.
A more powerful telepath and telekinetic than Jean Grey. More stunts than Jean. As good of a fighter as Captain America. More powerful Force Field than Invisible Woman. As strong as Beast. Psyche equal to Dr. Strange. Flies faster than Iron Man.
Sorry, but Psyloke simply is jus

I don't know why it is, but Chris Claremont seems insistant on writing his favorite female characters as unkillable super ninja babes.
I can't wait until Marvel gets wise and fires him permanently...

I hate to be the only one... But Dave, your book has caused me innumerable headaches and arguments in my 2 plus decades of playing Marvel.
But i do appreciate the effort, longevity, and impact the work had on the game. I also did like how it is arather exhaustive list. I just get that feeling of trying to plug in a european appliance to an american socket at times. It can be shocking.

I remember the last time the site was in financial straits, we were able to chip in... is that still an option?
i don't really care one way or the other about updates, but i do use this site as a resource, and it'd be a shame to lose it, even if nothing was ever added to it again. Is there a buy option that we could donate dough, and you just keep

hard to really look at these heroes in their 'original' incarnations without taking a look at the Who's Who/OHOTMU issues which cover those versions.

I think that a contested Popularity vs. Psyche Roll would still work in these situations. Just give the Vigilante a negative column shift to represent him being less well known than he would be in his typical base of operations.

Of course this is just differing takes on how one can address the 'anti-hero'. i personally have my own house rules to deal with this kind of character concept that i'm pretty much happy with. however, using your framework, there are two things I'd like to address;

Why do law enforcement contacts automatically dry up? I think there are plenty of canon references to the Punisher being able to maintain a legal contact here and there. Now i can understand giving them a limitation of a criminal record, being wanted by the local/state/feneral authorities, being on the FBI most wanted list, etc. But even in the comics they portray cops as pretty much supportin

Has a nice look, more modern than a lot of old school marvel RPG sites. It needs something though to set it apart from the rest. maybe a chat interface and die roller and people could run online games on your site...

Let's see Minority villains that actually have played significant roles...
Dr. Doom - Gypsies have been oppressed pretty much throughout time.
Magneto - Jewish Holocaust Survivor
Apocalypse - African Nomad
Lady Deathstrike - Cyborg Assassin, Japanese Decent
Silver Samurai- leader of the Hand Ninja, Japanese Decent
There are actually a few examples from China, but they actually are

Marvel has gotten better about it, but still has a long way to go.
The Black Panther I believe is the only Black solo hero to have his own book at this point in time. Luke Cage is actually the leader of an Avengers team, which, you know, good for Luke Cage, and he does still maintain his outlook on minorities not getting the protection they deserve from the superhuman community.

The Celestials are hardly the end all be all out there and they've been 'stopped' on more than one occaision.
-The Eternals could probably make it happen
-The Asgardians pulled it off before as well, so some other Pantheon of Gods could probably step up and make things too much of a headache for the Celestials
- The Phoenix Force was shown to be sufficient during the Judgmen

I liked the scene in X-Men#1 where Gambit tries to make out with jean, and then Jean blows up in his face. The following back and forth from Cyclops and Prof X. about dropping a truck on Gambit is a highlight.
I also enjoyed the scene in Astonishing X-Men during the Danger Story Arc where the Danger Room started emulating Hell with a bunch of Students and Kitty trapped inside.

As far as shifting CS + or -, the rule that the Class 1000,3000,5000, and B ranks aren't shiftable from she Shift ranges is in the Advanced Players Book. I think the section that specifically addresses column shifts... Now that I think about it, that rule might be in the Advanced Judge's book.
As fas as TI not affecting ranks above UN, I've never heard of that before.

If anything other than building things was a flaw in the Marvel System Mechanics, was Random Character Creation. I didn't really think that anyone actually enjoyed the retardedly random crap you would roll up (Coloration, resistance to sonics, and levitation) which robbed anyone of the ability to play a character they made up in their heads. I always have been much more an advocate of poin
