I make occasional use of variances within listed ranges for the ranks, most often in regards to Strength, to help denote differing lifting capacities between folks who technically fall into the same general rank category in the MSH game. I believe there's a difference between folks who can lift 1 ton, and folks who can lift 2, but that 2 tons isn't necessarily Incredible rank Strength..

Only finally got around to watching the trailer myself... It looks like it could be a good action flick. I may end up seeing it in the theaters at a matinée show, or renting it later, but it's definitely going on my list of things to watch at some point ;)

I would love to see this site remain up and running, and am glad to hear that Aunt P is considering handing over the responsibilities so that the site can remain up.
And I respect Skycutter and admire his efforts, even when I've disagreed with his interpretations on some matters. I'm sure Skycutter would do a good job in maintaining the site, and Aunt P must feel likewise, else he

well, if his control over his monetary forms is nearly fluidic in its flexibility, perhaps he could call himself Cashflow?
Just a quick thought off the top of my head..

It'd be a shame to lose this site completely. Perhaps Aunt P can take up TLD's offer and pass the torch on to someone who has the RL freedom at this time to keep it going... This site has always been, for me at least, far more than just the sum of the information and resources it's provided.
No matter what happens, Aunt P, you'll be fondly remembered for having provided us

Not to nitpick, but Remarkable Strength in MSH is basically up to 1 ton (maybe 2), whereas lifting 5 tons would place the Thing in the Incredible Strength category, as far as the game handles matters.
IIRC, Tigra's OHotMU entry mentions her lifting aro

My first UPB wound up dilapidated from over-use, as did my original copy of the Basic and Advanced Sets (me and my friends were kids, and didn't think of RPGs as collectible items back then.. they were just fun), so I now utilize a pdf version, with a printed copy of it for myself and my players who enjoy the hands-on feel of hardcopy...
All in all, one of my favorite RPG items ever... Th

Unearthly Fighting seems good for Thor and Hercules. Both Asgardians and Olympians have a strong warrior spirit and culture, making their "average" warriors rather superior to an average human in terms of skill. Herc and Thor are their respective societies' best elite warriors. They are effectively the Captain Americas of their warrior ranks, as superior to the formidable (by human

I use a general house rule of -2cs on Feats when one lacks the appropriate Talent for the job. Of course, when dealing with areas requiring highly specialized knowledge, as apropos to most science or tech-related Talents, lacking the necessary Talent can easily result in one simply not being able to make any sort of effective attempt...
In most cases, the -2cs works well enough, even in situat

I doubt he hides 'em intentionally. He's got tons of pages of stats, so some probably just get lost in the shuffle now and then, until their URLs get synched up and linked to all the relevant other pages. It can take a little while before a character or team page makes it onto the main Hero or Villain list pages.
And some things may get back-burnered for a bit, if he's working o

well, I stumbled upon the nextwave page by luck, as it's apparently one of Ben's "hidden" pages...
sometimes, typing in the character or team name at the end of his URLs in place of something already there can help...

Sorry I can't find more up to date info to help you out with.
However, the writeup for him at www.writeups.org makes mention that his psi abilities seemed to include a bit of Life Detection (possibly detecting humans only) at perhaps EX rank, and possibly Resistance to Mental Attacks, as well as perhaps a bit of Iron Will type ability of about EX rank as well...
it also mentions that h

Interesting cult of psychos... I'm sure they can be useful in lots of campaigns. And one could even throw in a truly exceptional member on rare occasions, if desired for their particular games.
I could definitely see them getting on the bad side of one of my personal characters. Even though he's generally reluctant to kill, he'd be sorely tempted to make exceptions for these psy

Never hurts to toss out interesting powers or stunt ideas. Some people might consider certain ideas outrageous, or the idea may not fit with some types of campaigns and power levels, but it may also get some people thinking about the possibilities. I'm sure somewhere, somebody's looking at such ideas, muttering, "Wicked!" :D
