Sway is sorta right on this....
By book definition for damage and blocking....
There is two checks and damage taken. The first check is comparsion of Attack versus material Strength. If the material strength is less then that attack then a break check has to be rolled. After that, Damage is applied to the object.
Now since Cap shield is Class 1000, it does not have a coresponding Rank Numb

I agree with Sway on this.
What MIC_Rulz want borders more on house rules than anything else.
As Far as the earlier question about why agility, it is the base for multiple attacks/movement in one round of combat which is in the book. It was not for seeing if he gets the shield up in time.

It wouldn't be a feat roll if it was the only action he did that round. If cap did multiple action in the round, it would be an agility feat to see if he covers himself in time.

I will check it when I get home. I have the book set will re-read it.

I miss your argument here!!!
If cap uses his shield to block, the attack is made to shield and not him. Therefore, it the strength of the attack versus the material strength of the sheild for him to block.
There is no need for extra column or house rules. Blocking in the rules refer more to unarmed and Unequipped blocking like blocking punch versus shielding. Shield follow the rules of blunt

I must admit..Epyon has a point. Iron man should be able to beat many of the marvel heroes at will. However, Marvel chooses not to write him well.
Shulkie is another person that was not written well. Since Vol 2. (The Byrne She-Hulk), She hasn't been written well. It seems fitting that this fight is a controversy. I still think that Tony would have a hard time in hand to hand versus shulkie

I will go back and re-read the crossing again...IN ALL Book Branches (ie Avengers, Iron Man, etc). If my memory doesn't fail, The current Tony Stark did died. However, the writers at Marvel in a later issue gave the explaination that you just gave Epyon. This was to fix the travesty that happened with the Younger Tony Stark as you mention.

I don't put that much faith in IRON MAN at all especially since The Armor Wars.... Yes, Tony's armors is bad @#$%&... but it still doesn't hold what when you get beat (or lost control over a fight) by people who have lower tech or are not even in your class villians as far as power. When people like the Beetle, the Melter, Crismon Dynamo get the upper hand on you in a fight.

Unfortunately it is true Eypon,
In the older books, he would tend to fight hand to hand versus the BIG Bruiser of the Marvel Universe. Heck, he was getting beat by low grade villian like the melter who in fact melted Tony's armor why he was in it because he tried to go hand to hand with him. But that was the writing of those days. It wasn't until after the Armor Wars that you saw Tony

Epyon and I are discussing flaws in the writing versus who would win in a fight. All of this discussion is refering back to the stories and not who can beat who. Don't worry, we are trying to beat a dead horse on this. We just discussing continuity problem with the last storyline.

He Has twice versus She-Hulk used some sort of Technical trickery after not being able to take her in Hand to Hand. (Contest of Champions and Savage She-Hulk #14) The only one time he had not was during that whole Seven Brides thing during Alantis Attack storyline where he did over

Again, People Forget about the Iron Man Armor as a whole and why their is a vault of Armor that Tony Stark has. I really wish people will accept this fact.
Iron Man if wearing the Right Armor got beat anyone in the Marvel Universe. We saw him beat some of the Best Like the Hulk, Thor, Sub-Mariner to name a few.
But this is where the problem comes in. Iron Man does not wear the same armor each e

Agreed..Iron Man is no Cap. However, Iron Man's Base Armor is not match for the Hulk or Namor or She-hulk. In fights with the HULK, he use specific armor to accommendate for his strength. Every time Shell Head Fought the hulk with armor not attune to him, Iron man gets pounded point blank. In Fights with the She-Hulk, he was wearing the base armor which again was not attune to h

What they did in that storyline holds true through the continuity of both character. In a flat out hand to hand combat, She hulk would kick Iron Man's @#$%& like no tommorrow. This was shown not only in this book, But the first Contest Of Champions and The First She-Hulk series (Issue 12 if I am Correct).
However In those to books I mention, Iron Man barely won due to using rep

They are both the same in terms of the Game. Reality in the Marvel Universe is the fundamentals of the rules at hand and the probability of it happening. You can't have one with out the other. Denzil,
It is that way due to the fact that the FASE stats for the Armor Modifies The Original Characters health. So when The Armored Hero takes damage..Both The armor and the person takes damage at the same time. There is no direct damage to armor in the sense that you are describing by the rules. House rules may modify that though.
However, the shunt thing you were describing fall under the
