Realms of Magic for the win. Easily the best of all the supplements and a very well thought out and logical way to handle it all in a game where the rules are not that well suited for something like magic. The best part is the system they have for gaining new spells. Before you get to far ahead I suggest you check it out.

You can be a friend to and trust someone that gives you bad advice. Whether or not he left his job and travels with him has nothing to do with him possibly getting in the way of Hiro's mission. He talked Hiro into breaking the law while delaying him on his journey, then gets mad at him like its his fault when they get caught, THEN leaves Hiro behind as he goes to see his taking his clothes o

I think Nikki's power is super-strength, a real life Hulk.
I also think you all give Hiro's buddy to much credit. Sure he is there for Hiro and has helped him some on the way but, he also talked him into using his powers to cheat for personal gain. In the last episode he tried to talk him out of using his powers to save the chicks life.
I wonder if Claire's dad is gonna end u

Dang just read your post PS, I am with you, anyone trying this hard to sell him as a villain has me not wanting to buy it. I too see him as someone that is a little too comfortable with skirting the line but isn't really shown to be a full on bad guy yet. Will actually be a bit of a disappointment if he is without some twist coming first.
And I hope they are setting up the flying dude for

Its not you, this show does in fact rock the casbah.
What if the cheerleaders dad isn't a really a villain/bad guy, what if he is from the government and is watching over them so they are ready for whatever is going to happen. What has he done so far that is really all that villainous?

This is the only pic I have of me taken in the last couple years and it was cropped out of one that clients sent to me while thanking me for the fishing trip they went on while up here in Alaska. Believe it or not this was the photo of me they used on the business website for a while hehe. Now ladies (and some of you men) the urge will be to rip your clothes off and make love to the montior. I never said no one's been developed, I said it's bad when comic companies decide to kill folks off in order to make a quick buck rather than develop the characters by writing good stories.
My point wasn't that you had actually said they hadn't developed, but to say how much more deveolpment do you need? Develop Scarlet Witch into what exactly? Flesh her out more? What more

I can't help but notice you never actually said what comics do do right, Warlock, and instead chose to focus on the negative.-Doc
Thats becuase I have said all I have to say about the Ultimate line and starting another thread on them would be pointless. Thats what comics do right, every now and then saying @#$%& continuity and the fan boys, lets just tell some damn good stories. But of co

Is there anything the comic companies are doing right anymore?
Exactly my point. Of courtse there are but, comic fans have been needlessly negative for so long they wouldn't know if something was both new and good if it hit them on the head.
What would happen if they tried to kill off Gwen Stacey today? What would the internet boards be like if they had been around back then?

Becasue if I poosted something now I'd also have to post about the rantings on stuff that has nothing to do with Bendis and his work. I'd have to comment on the fallacy that is a comics fan saying "it wasn't that they changed it, its that they changed it in X way that makes it bad", when we all know any change period is considered bad and no comics fan today wants to see

If you are gonna use Magic as more than just in passing I reccomend getting the Realms of Magic books. Magic in the PHB is basicaly just a different way to explain how powers work. In the RoM books it treats it as its own thing and really adds some nice flavor to a magic using character but, it also adds a little more work to creating and Judging as well. Well worth it though IMHO.

I use this screen name cause I in fact have magical powers. Don't laugh or I will hex your livestock and cause your milk to go sour overnight.
Or it was the name of the character I was using when I joined the boards.

I love JMS (the person who I believe started the whole spider-totem thing) but this just seems like messing with Spider-Man for the sake of messing with him alone. Is JMS doing the Doc Strange mag they said he was going to be doing when I stopped reading comics again? If so I wonder if he was trying to tie Spidey in with his new mag.

I personally like tying real world events and dangers into campaigns. I find it allows the players to think in terms of real life and death and real world consequences to the hero/villain strugle.

Are you talking about that thing they were doing the last time I read Spider-Man with the stupid Spider totem, aspect of the animal garbage? With whats his face the old guy with powers just like his?
That the spider was going to bite him and give him powers regardless of the radiaton?
Sounds like a rediculous retcon to me. *shrug*

If you could actually inject realism into comics then there is no satisfactory answer to your question. Regardless of what Stark wanted for his armor the government WOULD have the tech and they would be using it. That Reed Richards hasn't given his tech to the world is a crime, he can make a hover car that runs on happy thoughts and whatnot but he won't share it with the world? I did re

And if Marvel's stance is "Maybe God exists," wouldn't they have worded the entry in Thing's bio as something more along the lines of "the FF tracked his spirit to a celestial/heavenly afterlife realm" rather than "the FF followed his spirit to the gates of Heaven itself," and "a Cosmic entity restored Ben to life" rather than "the heave
