This and Wolverine's claws will never die, Or Hulk vs Superfool. Or Hulk vs Thor. Or Hulk vs. well you get the picture.
Cap should not have Rem strength IMO because as the rules are given you can explain the lifting of really heavy stuff as the column shift allowed in the rules. Apply the same rules to Cap with Rem str and he can lift something like 10,000 pounds. Just silly and not suppo

And as for restarting the Marvel Universe, I thought that was what the Ultimates line was?
No Ultimate is more like a "What if......Marvel didn't let stupid writers screw its main characters over". And what Ulitmate hit right on the head was the core of the charatcers without 40 years of baggage screwing things up.
If forced at gun point to sum up Spiderman in a single sentence

IMO it comes down to Marvel = real people thrown in extraordinary situations, while DC = uber gods being thrown in extraordinary situations that they could win easily if they all hadn't suddenly forgotten they can bench press the planet, move faster than the speed of light, are completely immune to any harm, and have one crippling weakness which is the only way to stop them and must be used

Very good TJ, but just for future reference there is a section for posting your homemade characters and getting feedback on them. Oh and you should come up with a background as well, I find the best characters have as good back stories as they do stats. :)

Um........its DC, so who cares. Did you know everytime someone posts on this board about DC an angel dies?
But if I had a gun to my head I'd say Batman should be from Chicago if not New York (and I agree that Batman shouldn't be in same city as Supershmuck). Chicago is the only city IMO that is gritty enough and has the right tone to be Gotham.
By using fictional cities, DC is

Yes the crayon was cause the dice had indentations for the numbers but were the same color as the die itself. So you'd take the crayon and rub it on the die faces, then wipe off the excess leaving just the indents with white colored wax inside therefore making the numbers readable.
PS. my set was as good if not better than this one, now it collects dust at Tormains house =( and I gave it

But with MSH there are significant differences in the way magic is handled. Here is a summary of the differences.-Micheal
Are these the rules you are making your players go by? If so its up to you, if not you got a few things wrong. Also bear with me as I don't have the books and this is all from memory.
Mystic Origin and the Contact with a master are only necessary if your character d

I have neither the time nor the inclination to go over your post point by point so here is just some things that umped out at me and my response to them.
The author gave only the vaguest terms to describe the PC: "problem player" and "admits liking to mess with people's campaigns".
Well difference of opinion I guess, I don't see a player admiting to screwing wi

I have to go with you're friends on this. No offense intended, but if you say you want to run a game, and then balk at a very slightly unconventional character idea, then you really seem a little inflexible as a GM.-Michael
I disagree with most of you post but just chose this sentence as the point to argue against in general.
The GM does NOT work for the players. The idea is for everyo

Me likey, not only because of the tantric stuff either. A little to powerful to use in any game I might run, but toned down a little she would make a cool character for me to steal and take complete credit for. :D
If I could pronounce the name that is. Something about Rentingporn? ;)
I like characters with as much thought put into their origin and motives as their stats and powers.

When did the Celestials forbid the gods from interfering? If memory serves me right the Gods all ganged up to stop the Celestials from destroying earth during the 4th host, as they had deemed humans a threat and were going to eliminate them.

And here I was thinking this thread was gonna be about those "accidents" I used to have back in the day when I dreamed of pretty ladies. ;)
I always wanted to be the next Ed Greenwood. I wanted to make my own world from scratch and have it picked up and used in the game. Even as a kid I knew Marvel was hardly gonna put out a game that had nothing to do with their established char

You think you sorta maybe, just might someday remember making about 1,000 posts arguing that magic attacks bypass body armor? There is a thread about 200 posts long, half of which is you saying that very fact and the other half is me being right that it doesn't. Notice the latter half and bow down before me!

Nobody is arguing that old topics shouldn't be brought up, just that some of the topics being brought back up add nothing to the original and take up space on a fairly busy board. I mean its the response to the 2 year old "New to the boards just seeing how ya doing" thread that amounts to "Not bad and you?" that is the only thing some have issue with. I still see this as
