I can't get myself to respond in this thread as it is just a simply just a thinly veiled debate on the current state of rights in the world post 9/11.
I had a big long post here but had to delete as I do not wanna get into a deabte on politics and the curtaling of peoples rights due to fear.
Carry on as if this post wasn't here.

Make your own setting, exploring a new world IMO is always more fun than becoming a "also ran" along side the established uber heroes and groups. I prefer a setting where super heroes are fairly new to the scene and let the player find themselves at the same time they find their place in the world.

I go to log into my poker account and it tells me I am already sitting at a table. I check my account balance and over $10 is gone from my account. I called someone I know log in on their account and go the table and ask the guy how it is going, and he bails. I check my Yahoo acount and all of a sudden I have a profile called ha_ha_funny_guy.
I have called my bank and had my checking account c

Damage Shields are good against mobs that hit you many times in a single round. When I am tanking I always ask the Mage or Ranger to hook me up with one. Even the Kiva's skin of flame pots are nice till the 50's.
Oops wrong game. ;)
Yeah Energy Sheath is your best bet, unless you go with the afroementioned power stunt off of another power.

So how is it? Are you happy with the way/amount you are playing or would you like to play via a difeerent medium or more often? Both?

Yeah there were tons of Fantastic Fours and Spider-Mans running around pre-Lee/Kirby/Ditko era. Thats why nobody remebers them today.

How bad was it? I was thinking of this when I realised I can still recite the charm of making Merlin recites in Excalibur.
I can remember Tormain and I eating chocolate ganola bars somthered in Hershey's milk chocolate while drinking chocalate milk and then bouncing off the walls watching Excalibur over and over and playing Marvel and D&D and anything else we could get our hands on.

I wish I would have checked this out sooner I would have guessed most of them but the second Married with Children reference.
#3 was easy and if I am remember corrctly I would have guessed #7 as well as for about a month I wanted to be the guy with the arm that shot lasers. Weren't they space rangers or something? Or was that the other cartoon with the guy who had the Strength of the Bear

He could bluff Doc Strange, who wouldn't kill him because of the bluff. Then Constantine would either get a demon or two to kill strange or find an item of enormous power and kill Strange himself.
Bluff Dr. Strange? Probably cause none of Strange's foes boast or brag about powers they might or might not actually wield. And I imagine any demon at all could kill Strange as he never fac

I think it also goes to show how different Marvel and DC treat magic and magic users. DC is very Heaven and Hell oriented, while Marvel treats it as its own force and the users aren't split into such Judeo-Christian or even Eastern philosophical categories. Something I appreciate as a I don't need somones obvious bias towards religous beliefs shaping the fiction I like to read.

But that can't happen according to the rules! "B-level Morlocks" (Rm or less) are worth nothing!
Look at my example a B Morlock like Skid with the only ability of Unearthly personal shield and crappy stats is the same level of threat as a Thor? Really? You honestly believe that? I don't and think the Karma rules should reflect that.

Oh yeah, and can somebody please help me on this one- When did Vampires even come back? I thought Dr. Strange's Montesi Formula spell wiped them all out; I'm assuming that spell got broken somewhere in the gap when I had stopped reading comics??
They came back when Dr Strange undid the spell to save his brother, who became the next Baron Blood.

I agree with the idea that the infection would be overcome by their inherent healing factors. I mean Wolverine can fight off what the Brood did to him then Lycanthrope would be a walk in the park.

Galactus wouldn't bother killing him cause he couldn't prove himself enough of a threat to justify the minute amount of energy it would take to turn him into dust.

But how then do you justify that Thor with many stats at 100 is going to be so much tougher than someone with just 100 Str, or 100 Energy distance Attack? Taking down Skid from the Morlocks is an equal task to taking down Thor? I think the gamne is inherently flawed as comics are a very stagnant medium and they unfortunately made the game reflect to this. No you shouldn't be "leveling u

This brings up an old issue I've never seen adequately solved. How do you hand out karma and not screw the players.
Thor: highest stat- Unearthly, karma award according to book = 100
Uber Cumquat-man: highest stat- unearthly water breathing, karma according to book = 100
So Thor with many stats at Unearthly is equal to a bottom of the barrell worthless NPC with only one stat at Unea

Gang Wars is very good IMO, they can easily be adapted to any setting and run in any city.
I got all 3 of mine for less than 20$ on ebay.

I'm not a Gambit fan by any stretch of the imagination, but if he were an X-Man, running alongside the likes of Rogue, Wolvie, Storm, and the like, there'd be no way he could simply keep up. He's simply far too B-List. It stands to reason that the X-Men are roughly equal in terms of power levels.
I see your point but let us not forget Jubilee and Shadowcat and some of the other

Blasphemy! Tormain may the Many Moons of Munnupor lodge themselves in your colon!
Micheal in the Advanced Set there was a Talent that would allow your character to someday aquire magic powers, ala Scarlett Witch, but no power that would just give you magical abilities.

I also enjoy the Marvel Universe, but lean more toward the Ultimate style Universe over the classic.
HAHA! We can team up and get Doc reading Ultimate within the week. ;)
On the serious side I also run (when I'm playing) my own universe with more of an Ultimate feel. I just like to see the heroes reacting to real life issues as much as super hero ones.

I was wondering the same thing Ty, I haven't heard anything about but that it takes place in the time you mentioned. Kinda disapointing really, I mean whats cooler in the SW universe than the Jedi and the show is gonna take place in the one time where there were none.
Boo!
I'd rather see it take place pre-episode one ala KOTOR.

I am sorry that I have offeneded so many Star Wars fans by expressing my opinions.

Sorry if I started something here, but like my my post said my closing thoughts were more towards the movie reviews from fans in general and not aimed at those on these boards per say. Hell compared to what I've seen
