Wow. I mean, wow.
For those of us still carrying the MSH torch, losing this site is like closing up shop at the Library of Congress.
I totally understand you reasoning, Auntie P. But still.
For what it's worth, I do hope you'll find someone to pass the site on to so that they can keep it running. I'm sure that person would have no problem with your creative input

In the main DC continuity, there was Cir-El.
She was allegedly the offspring of Supes and WW from a divergent timeline shunted to the "real universe". She had 'hlaf-Kryptonian' powers, and was kinda schmuck-ish. She was later killed off, IIRC.
Hope that helps. WolfSpider 2008!

The original costume seems so...unremarkable. It's a bodysuit with a happy face on the chest.
The newer one could be amazing were it tweaked a bit. For a really modern look, I'd ditch the cape. Then I'd make his face a black featureless mask, letting the huge happy face on his chest and the accent logos do their work to convey his schtick. And though you don't *need* it

That's a tough question.
In one respect, you're right--a power like Plague Carrier ought to let you soak up HIV from another person, effectively curing them.
That said, I think it's a little cheap and dismissive of what we all should know is a MASSIVE global epidemic.
Again, the answer's not easy. And that's where a seeming humble power could be potentiall

On one hand, Secret Wars was the coolest thing ever. On the other, it highlighted the fact that Marvel doesn't do very well with its B-List villainy. Sure, they can wheel out Magneto, Doom, Ultron, Big G...but second-tier villains have always been a bit less developed and worth mention.
The notable exception is Spider-Man's villains, who I think are great examples of B-Listers--E

Body Coating of a fluid is potentially cool, but as you describe, it, Daelon, needs some clarification.
If you're covering your own human-ish skin in a layer of some kind of liquid, you're going to have to explain why'how it doesn't just pour off. If it's a quasi-solid surface tension field--the simplest possibility I could think of--it's still not doing much to

For the life of me, I cannot understand why Galactus would *need* to learn magic. He's one of the fundamental forces of the Marvel Universe, using energies well beyond the scope of what humankind can fathom as science. The guy eats planets...calling upon the Winds of Watoomb to levitate just seems paltry in comparison.
Also, it would be potentially lethal for Galactus, who is constantl

Actually, the whole "anger turns to strength" thing was considered canon in the comics for the Hulk. That has probably changed now, since it seems that every writer seems to have a different take on Big Green.
As far as the Hulk movie goes, I thought it suffered from a form of cinematic schizophrenia. The first part of the movie was actually my favorite, as it set this moody, str

We have radically different approaches to playing, Nightmask. Suffice it to say, I think we're both in a better place by not playing in the same game. No offense meant--really--but we'd likely bicker more than we'd play.
I tend to think that Precognition needs to be ridiculously accurate, or it's not really a power. A precognitive whose predictions are constantly faili

I won't speak for everyone, but Precognition is one of the most difficult powers to effectively Judge in a game. Everything you offer as the "future" has to become a reality--yes, I know, the visions can be symbolism or unclear, but still--or the power isn't really a power. And characters will either try to change the futures they don't like (and it's the Judge

On the other hand, let a player of dubious scruples "unlock" his Danger Sense and let it expand to Cosmic Awareness.
When he finally drifts out of his catatonic state, decades later, he may or may not even remember why he unlocked it in the first place.
Seriously. Cosmic Awareness is one of the game-altering uber-powers. It shouldn't be taken lightly, since it's sup

I'm less generous than your modeling, Tank, but yeah...your SpecOps people could have a template, as follows:
Fighting: Somewhere between Excellent and Incredible. Vital support staff might scrape by on Excellent, but the large majority of these people would be in the Remarkable-Incredible range. Part of that comes from being able to say they can go toe-to-toe with the spandex set, part

Endurance: Remarkable. I'm pretty athletic, and my workout reg

Let's say you go up against a low-level super being with nothing extrordinary except say, remarkable agility, excellent strength, excellent endurance, remarkable claws, and feeble body resistance...
Let's say. First off, if I knew the opponent was a super with claws, I wouldn't be engaging him up close if I could help it. That's letting the guy play on his terms, and that

You're right--in a lot of your examples, the tactics I mentioned wouldn't be very effective. But in the example I gave, they would. Rhino is slow moving, vulnerable to sensory effects, and has been shown to better take damage against sensitive tissues (the Wasp beat hi

Yeah...I think baseline humans with specific training in defusing situations and team tactics could still present a significant danger even to genuine supervillain hotshots. The trick is to not get too close to your opponents, use strafing fire and terrain to your advantage, hit the target by surprise, and when it's going pear-shaped don't be afraid to drop some serious explosives.

I mean, he went from lifting 2-3 tons with effort to benching 75-80 tons. That's a boost of somewhere between 2500 and 4000 per cent! This pretty much happened at the tail end of New Mutants, as Rob Liefeld needed a strong guy for X-Force and recruited James Proudstar, who gained this sudden eruption of strength off-panel.

I'm not a dangerous man out of principle--violence simply isn't a good solution for much of anything.
That said, thanks to a white trash upbringing and a slew of older cousins and jerk stepfathers, I'm far better with a rifle and handgun than a gun control advocate should be. I was always able to take lumps and dish out more in a fight.
