Shadovar were once human but have transformed themselves into living shadows or shades(not the undead kind). They come from the Netherese Shade Enclave in the Demiplane of Shadow.

Do you know what the D & D stats for them are, or where they might be found? If so, maybe I'll try to work something up based on some tentative D & D (2nd Edition) to MSH translations I've been toying with.....

Here's what I came up with after reading the Shade Trilogy:

Shadovar, Typical

Physical Form: Humanoid Race---Shadovar(pre-transformation)/Energy Body(Darkforce, post-transformation)

Origin of Power: varies, but excludes Chemical and Biological Exposure. Usually Endowment or Techincal Procedure.

Pre-Transformation Post-Transformation
F: Ty(6) Gd(10)
A: Gd(10) Ex(20)
S: Gd(10) Ex(20)
E: Gd(10) Rm(30)
R: - Gd(10) -
I: - Gd(10) -
P: Gd(10) Rm(30)

Health: 36 80

Resources: Pr(4) outside of Shade Enclave
Popularity: 0 pre-, -5 post-transformation

Height: 2D10 + 59 for females, 2D10 +60 inches for males pre-transformation, add 1D4-2 for females, 1D4-1 for males post-transformation.

Weight: 6D10 + 100 for females, 6d10 + 140 LBS.

Talents: Occult Lore, Mystic Origin

Contacts: Enclave Shade(home of all Shadovar, Am Resources)

Powers:
All Shadovar pre- or post-transformed have the ability to manipulate Dimensional Energies from the Demi-plane of Shadow. Post-Transformed Shadovar have this at +1CS.

Post-Transformed Shadovar have the following powers:

Dimensional Travel: Rm(30)---Limited to the Demiplane of Shadow
Dinensional Regeneration: Ex(20)---can use the dimensional energies of Shadow to regenerate all body parts except head.
Self-Sustenance
Energy Absorption: Am(50)---Limited to Darkforce and Shadows
Energy Solidification: Gd(10)---can solidify existing darkforce or shadows into personal armor and/or weapons.
Magic Detection: Ex(20)
Psionic Detecion: Gd(10)
Darkforce Generation: Ex(20)---Limited to bolts of force.
Resistance to Mental Attacks: Am(50)

Weakness:
Light-based attacks are +1CS against post-transformed Shadovar. Post-transformed Shadovar are -1CS on all physical stats in daylight. Certain Magics can destroy a post-transformed Shadovar. Unfortunately, that would create a gateway to another dimension.

I'm also developing stats for Drow, Vulcans, Klingons, Themyscarens, Sahaugin, Draconians (from Dragonlance), Thanagarians, Kryptonians/Daxamites, Thunderans (from Thundercats), and Invid.

Here's what I came up with for the Thanagarians:

Thanagarian, Typical

Physical Form: Humanoid Race---Thanagarian(They evolved from birds of prey)
Origin of Power: Natal(They are born with their wings)

F: Ex(20)
A: Ex(20)
S: Ex(20)
E: Gd(10)
R: Ty(6)
I: Gd(10)
P: Ty(6)

Talents: Military(Thanagarians are trained from birth in military tactics.), Aerial Combat(+1CS)

Contacts: Thanagar(home planet, Un(100) resources)

Powers:

Extra Body Parts: Wings give Gd(10) Flight
Resistance to Cold: Gd(10). Their bodies are adapted to high altitudes.
Recovery: Gd(10).
Telescopic Vision: Fb(2)

Weakness: Thanagarians are instinctually claustraphobic. This cause them to panic within enclosed spaces. This leads to incapacitation for 10-100 turns.

I checked out the D&D to Marvel conversion table at the link Crip' gave me. It's good for non humanoid monsters but not for humanoids. I have the original D&D Immortals box set. In it, it describes how a character can have stats higher than 25. This would be perfect for DBZ characters because Immortals must fight in a tournament every 100 or so years to reach a higher status level.

Need input on a brief history of the Thanagarians. Once I get that I'll post the completed stats on my site and provide you guys with the link to it.

Why not try and convert from D&D 3E? It seems like it'd be easier -- a race that has a +2 racial bonus to Strength would have a +1 CS adjustment to Strength (or something laong those lines).

Maybe, I just wish that 3rd Edition wasn't so wordy. It ruined the D&D experience for me.
