Here is your opportunity to have your say about current character stats and also to post any you devise. Basically you'll help everyone out..
This forum is currently read only. You can not log in or make any changes. This is a temporary situation.
Cool man. Just didn't want to steal your thunder. Your the one who showed us (or at least me) the Comic Vine. Which has become an addiction by the way. Thanks a lot. ;-)

Can't get anything to load today so I'm going to wait until later to read the responses. So it is possible that Punstarr may have already put this up, but I'm going to drop it in here anyway.
While I don't agree with all of it, it does provide us with a solid list to go off of.

Agreed. I'd loving nothing more than to be part of the Hulk's War Bound and help clean up some of this garbage we see in the real world. Survive or not, it would be an honor.

Getting pumped up about this game. Hope The Rook starts us soon. Who all is in on it?

Love the idea of the Hulk and his War Bound taking over the earth. Wish that is how World War Hulk would have ended. With at least a short time of the Hulk's reign over Earth.
With the help of the Dark X-Men it is even cooler. Nice idea.

Even if a Jedi could sense the attack they cannot make they're bodies move faster. They can only move sooner. So in that way a Jedi who perceived Superman's attack early on would be wise to relocate to another system, and fast. Because otherwise all those Force guided senses are going to do, is tell them that they are dead ahead of time. Even if they could dodge the first strike by

Nice. A war of that magnitude would rock the very foundations of the Marvel Universe for years to come.

Perhaps the Mido-Clorians are not something that would even be detected by the immune system. There are a number of races from which Jedi stem from. It is hard for me to believe that Kryptonians are one race that is specifically resistant to something that is quite possibly much more than a simple bacteria. The way it is explained in the movies, leads me to think that these symbiotic life form

Nightmask,
While I am not a Star Wars expert by any stretch of the imagination, I'm pretty sure that the Midi-Clorians are not considered a foreign substance.
In fact I believe that they are supposed to exist in all (or almost) living things. So in theory, Kal El could have been born with plenty of the little symbionts living in his system and communicating with him and the Force.

Well as I said in my post I think it is very cool, the idea of a powerless Kal El training as a Jedi and then laster being exposed to a yellow sun.
However, I think even if the Jedi academy had a yellow sun shining on top of it......Kal El would have been a child beginning his Jedi training.
That would be what he knew as his life upbringing and his family. Look at the effect the Kents ha

Bracey,
Just making sure man. With all the outrageous flaming and misunderstanding on the boards this year, I wanted to make sure you knew there was no disrespect. I'd rather be safe then sorry. Know what I mean?
Oh, yeah dude. Do a battle write-up for the the X-Men vs. a Jedi Master. That would be sweet.
Now we should also consider the difference between the X-Men fighting a

But she could absorb lightsaber fighting talent right?
Either way it is a good match up. WIth Jean Grey in the X-men line up, they stand a much better chance. Do you think he Telekinesis and Telepathy are stronger than what a Jedi can bring to the fight? Wolverine being able to heal from the lightsaber wounds in a good thing too.

Dude, calm down. I fully understood the context of your scenario. In no way was I attacking you. In fact I quite enjoyed your written conflict between the two parties in question.
My apologies, I should have conveyed that.
What I am looking (not the topic here, just me) is a greater understanding of the characters involved in terms of game mechanics. The argument with the rules set

The reason that the discussion breaks down to the lightsaber versus Superman's resistances is because the Jedi have nothing else that can even hope to touch him. I'd love to get as detailed as possible with these rules and stats because I'd love to be able to run a game in the Star Wars Universe, with Marvel characters.

Daelon,
Definitely agree with all of that. My point is that we have to have some kind of standard to even make a decision with. That was the whole (oddball) point of my rant. Really just drawing attention to what you are pointing out. I've read the creation rule many times, and have made a couple of Jedi characters.
If a lightsaber is that powerful then everyone of my characters

There are a number of factors to this. If I remember correctly Superman's father knew about the effect a Yellow sun would have on a Kryptonian.
That is, to my understanding, why he chose Earth to send his son too.
If somehow the pod that Kal El was sent to earth in was throw off track and ended up in the arena of space monitored by the Jedi.
It is possible that they would have sen

Well, I suppose part of the argument could be centered around whether or not a lightsaber could even harm Superman.
The Jedi creation system on this site, states "A lightsabre provides an inherant damage capacity of Remarkable. If the lightsabre was constructed by the person wielding it the sabre's damage will increase to minimum of the wielders Psyche or Incredible, whichever is h

Agreed. The best thing to do is outline a timeline for your own game. That way at least your players know what the history is with in the campaign.

I'm laughing out loud as I read this topic on Yahoo! The question has been asked so I thought I would give my friends here a shot at it.
My position is that there isn't a chance in Hell, Krypton, or Hoth that a Jedi could touch Superman. For so many reasons I wont bother stating them until others have a chance. There are a few points in the article that are at least attempts at merg

It would be a nice What If? crossover for Marvel and DC to explore.

Contradictory? Not at all dude. Point buy systems are used to create uniformity for a specific campaign and moderate the character creation when the Judge can't be right at the table with you. I'm not a fan of point buy systems of creation at all (in fact I hate them), but in this case it does do the job.
