Here is your opportunity to have your say about current character stats and also to post any you devise. Basically you'll help everyone out..

Maybe some of you seasoned ( old ) comicbook veterans can add to a list of heroes that were around ( perhaps in semi-retirement ) from 1946 to 1959.
After Cap got iced and the end of WWII but before the advent of the modern MU continuity ( retro history allowed ) of Fan Four #1 of 1961.
I think Spirit of 76' and the Patriot ( one who may have been Captain America during that time- not

Where do you get 13 years from the FF crash?
if one were to divide real time by a factor of four- 1961 to 2007 -46years/4 =12.5 years. thats pretty close to your number. is that how you got it Capo, or was it mentioned in a marvel comic?
very interested in this.

Yes. good ol' scars.
We used to keep track of Natural "20" Hits on our AD&D characters.
more rare but natural 100 or "00" rolled in th Marvel rpg should warrant a scar.- just for fun.

We have seen some established Marvel characters in the TSR supplements improve there powers and abilities stats- sometimes because we've seen ( or assumed ) it in the comics over the years.
And Dominic Fortune was given stats that were in his prime and that of modern continuity as he got older.
Anyone in the Marvel U. continuity you feel is slowing down and is sliding from there prime?

The point was to imagine an anal/detailed specific rank numbers for established Marvel characters and what they would be, not just for fighting but strength, reason etc. etc. as compared against other Marvel characters who just happen to have the same rank ( but again not the same number value )-as if it had always been like that from the begining.
Like to pretend in 1986 when the advanced ver

I did "out myself" with the Cap and Taskmaster examples in fighting from my first post.. Long ago to beef up my villains I did up Taskmasters stats to there rank maximums ( except strength- he's lucky to get ex-20 but I would still barely give it to him )
Is there any TSR stats on Cap say during the Invaders 1940's days as having only inc-40 fighting?

I have to admit although Nightmask mentioned some rare examples the only one I remember is Black Knights sword damage with the blunt ( or was it edged? ) side at 16 points instead if 20 points of damage. and this is not even ability ranks!
It would be interesting to see ( 3rd ED. NEW version maybe ) some very specific re-modeling of established Marvel characters stats comparitively speaking.

Just curious. But were you tempted to put Cap's fighting at AM-62 and strength at EX-25 even though he's a modeled NPC and not a rolled up PC?
I can understand why you would not though, just curious if you were tempted to max out his ability rank numbers.

Could an arguement be made for some characters to have the maximum number for there ability ranks- like Captain America and fighting- Am-50 to AM-62 or perhaps the Taskmaster with the type of power he has to have the max number in fighting 62 instaed of 50.
or some hero or villain with strength - say ex-20 but Ex-25 ( again maybe Cap )

I have to tell you Tetragrammaton, looking at the Advanced iron montage site, you have reminded me why I've always liked IRONMAN and knew he is a cool and very INTERESTING Marvel character!
Much more interesting in my opinion than comic characters like Hulk, Superman, Wonder Woman, Thor and Spawn ( and many others ).
Bravo. Thanks for the reminder.

The_Threat does make a good point though. The TI power was never play-tested as D.E.M. was rushed with the deadline and interestingly never played the game before, he admitted.
But Nightmask you are probably correct that TI can still have it's uses within the game with certain characters.
Years ago my friends and I used TI in a different way and not how it was presented in the UPB. Bei

That's true. Ironman is more of an "ace up the sleeve" gadget/trick master.
Although the time he beat the Hulk was when he just K.O.'ed him with ONE PUNCH!!!

I am not going to disagree with you two but Ironman did beat the Hulk before and with a lesser armor.( the bullethead red and gold )
With updated armor it is very possible for him to beat heavyweights ( Ironman himself being a light-heavyweight ) depending on the WRITER.

I agree with you Capo.
Perhaps those that are against this are concerned with those trends to " make cooler, harder-edgy" type heroes- That permeated much of the 90's hero comics.- most of them poor( IMAGE )
Sometimes rectons and "change" are not qualitativley better.
Overall though, comic universes are in a constant state of change- but interestingly they gener

Years ago Captain America went up against a terrorist organization called the ULTIMATUM and the Flag Smasher. During the fight he was forced to use a gun and kill a terrorist. Very unusual thing for Cap!
What was the type of gun Cap used to kill a man?

Could anyone convert those stats to Marvel RPG???

I think Wizard magazine had this fight ( when they would do match ups and handicap the battle )
cant remember who they had come out on top.
Stat wise in the game - the SKIN Armor would give Green Lantern a run for his money plus if up close Hal could go down in 2 rounds with Ironman's sonic attack at 50 point of damage per round.

I should of clarafied the last post in saying the " south east asian conflicted" was referenced in a minor origin slide for Ironman and the phrase " The Vietnam War " was never used again.
but they still kept it an asian origin. After ONSLAUGHT I am unsure if they referenced it again or when exactly they changed to the Afganastan origin.(?)

Actually IRONMAN has slid a couple of times. a re-origin issue pre-ONSLAUGHT had him in "South East Asia conflict"
so the historical 60's-early 70's fixed timeline would be left ambiguous.
eventually the only characters who will be proven to get older is Cap and Nick Fury ( partly kidding plus there reduced ageing )
or anyone who is tied to a specific historical event/

note: Taskmaster would of watched Moon Knight fight some of the early bouts.

capocatillo, perhaps it is his body armor rank that you feel is over rated.
considering the last 2 or 3 years in Marvel comics he seems to take damage easily.

I would add Dagger to the list but I just read a Runaways trade and she was portrayed with decent cleavage!!!
the 80's comics she was at best a B-cup!?!

Taking into account multiple artistic representation and lack of art consistancy-- which female heroes have been portrayed with small bust size's most of the time???

Ironman has been a whipping boy for Marvel for the past how many years now?
Blades cutting thru his armor, lesser powered opponents knocking him around, powerful opponents knocking him around,
and a degenerating origin and character downward slide.
he is sort of the most popular VILLAIN in the MU right now. has his own monthly book and everything.
Last succesfull villain with his own

Instead of coming out with another D&D edition some gaming company should market a new revised MSH role-playing game without a #edition ( 3rd ed? ) in the title but a new title. with a metal color perhaps in the title!

You'll never believe this but when Alex Ross did the art for MARVELS limited series he used Timothy Dalton as the model for Tony Stark!!!
On a superficial image POV the Ironman Movie is not cast well in the lead role. Personal history and acting skill is another point.
