Sing the Shift Song with me people: "We're here, we're big, get used to us!"
Yeah, most PCs shouldn't entertain notions of working their way up to Shift-Z Strength. But we are talking about NPC stats, are we not? Gladiator's official stats are that high, nevermind the fact that the Hulk has 7 abilities that are CL1000 or higher NOT including his Strength!

True, Thor is usually depicted as a brawlin' berserker while "they" go out of their way to show just how adroit and technical Cap can be. That being said, I think sometimes you actually have to ignore what occurs in the comic books (which goes against my daily credo by the way) and simply accept how a character is defined. Look at the higher beings: Celestials, Order/Chaos, etc. Th

Captain America is considered the pinnacle of human fighting skill. Why would you think an explicitly non-superhuman character with a couple decades of training and

I'll worry after the fact, not before. The RIAA succeeded in killing Napster and it had zero long-term impact on file-sharing. It's a hot topic, moral or otherwise, but factually speaking you can d-load all the .TXT, .DOC, .PDF, etc., files you want witho

Sure, go ahead and mail me.
Kendra's stat seems odd because all the Number/Number stats I read were for people with different "states", like Oz having a human stat / werewolf stat. Considering that becoming a Slayer gives a +3 Strength immediately, I guess the 4 would be pre-Sunnydale arrival, but why give her stats before she was in the show? Hmm...

That's cool that you have the handbook. Wow, Chinese slayer only had a 5 Strength? Kinda' takes the shine off of Spike's victory, but then again he was a lot weaker at the time too.

Workin' on it. I NEVER use PDF's for anything, so if I'm missing any easy way to break this thing up I'd appreciate anyone's two cents. Frankly, I haven't given it my all with my summer class + full-time job + friend's new LARP, but I'll get this done soon.

I believe they are end of season 5 Buffy / season 2 Angel (but they have books devoted to the Angel show so they don't go too in depth with him). They have seasonal adjustments for all characters for all seasons. Here is a quote from the book:
"Drop Buffy's Acrobatics, Getting Medieval and Kung Fu Skills by one level per season before the fifth (i.e., her Kung Fu goes down to eigh

I was thinking that I might go the whole nine yards and set up an FTP on some free web site, like my Comcast service. I won't even try until this weekend ( life is full ). In the meantime, people who aren't at moral odds with the peer-to-peer world can download it the same way I did: Bearshare. I know it's a touchy subject so I won't provide links and such, but that is where I

I forget the time frame, but there is a projected "cap" to how long life can exist in our universe according to current understanding of expansion and such. I think it is in the trillions, which is meaningless to us in the real world but could matter in MSHRPG-dom.

I haven't given up on finding it yet, but everyone has to bare with me. It is on some poorly labeled disc, adrift somewhere amidst my countless throngs of complete hard drive emergency back-up CD-R's. Seriously, I don't know why people think that it's possible to equal or top a good book when it's adapted for screenplay. Imagination has no budget, and you naturally tailor it perfectly to suit your own tastes. I heard The Watchmen might get made into a movie. But you do appreciate just how much rewriting that kind of logic will cost you in the long run, don't you? All the walking comics encyclopedias here will swamp you in "on-page-1-2-3-in-issue-X-Y-Z-so-and-so-eats-glass" examples, some of which will be contradictory. The "historically averaged taste" of a character is how I judge stats. After 60 years, you just kinda'

I was basically being facetious. Pay it no mind. Overall season five hasn't impressed me, but I'm a relationships kinda' guy: Spike/Buffy, Angel/Buffy, Wes/Lilah, etc. This season has been spotty in this area, and the quasi-Buffy appearance in Italy was horrendous whereas I thought it would be my favorite episode heading into the season. True, but allow me to utterly digress into a barely related point :) .
The arguments over "which religion is oldest" are really arguments over "what piece of hard evidence pertaining to a religion can be proved older than any other", which to me is entirely different. I find it safe to assume that our pre-historic ancestors had religions that we will never find hard evidence

Off the top of my head, no one has mentioned any Persian deities: Marduk, Tiamat, Apsu, etc. I don't know much about them, but I do recall the old Palladium Rifts source book for deities gave Marduk higher damage "hit points" than either Zeus or Odin. YMMV.

A rook is higher than a bishop or knight. The term "rookie" came from the fact that usually the rook is the last piece to be brought into play. The sports analog is that the rookie, since he is a newbie, is the last guy to get a chance to play, hence "rookie". :beer:
Point breakdown:
Queen = 9
Rook = 5
