Morningstar #22
After his surrender to the Epsilon Troopers, Morningstar was placed in inhibitor bonds and loaded on board an Epsilon Shuttle. From there he was flwon back out to Department H HQ in Ottawa and placed in an interrogation room.
While the synthoid sat there awaiting whatever fate had in store for him, he lamented his impulsiveness in attacking General Clarke.

Roughrider and Canucklehead are a duo of Canadian "anti-heroes" that primarily operate in Ontario area, and regularly clash with both the criminal underworld and law enforcement. They resemble bikers, with a similar rough and anti-authority attiudes, but have a keen sense of justice and individual liberty. Roughrider is the more simple and down-to-earth of the two, while Canucklehead

High kicks are, generally speaking, impractical, regardless of training. They are more easily seen, have further to travel, and leave one open... especially to a take down. Timing is everything when it comes to high kicks.
Also, there is nothing excpetional about combat kicks or knees from an unschooled combatant. They lack true power, and really just leave you open for a counter.

One of the ultimate purposes of these reenetry suiits is stated to be their use in the actual space program as an added safety measure.
The extreme sport angle was itself stated as providing the necessary resources and test subjects to further refine the suit. It is compared with trailblazing into parachuting.
Undoubtedly, they would have to meet certain safety requirements before they cou

Well, the best way to resurrect Cap would be to have him not be dead in the first place.
The declaration of his death was premature... perhaps as a result of the SSS.
Or, that wasn't Cap that got shot, but one of the those SHIELD "life model decoys".
Or, it wasn't really Cap, it was a Skrull.
Something, anything, like that would IMO be infinitely better than a Cap

I haven't looked at all three modules all that closely, so I'm not sure how well they tie in to each other.
I liked the basic idea of the first one, and am more-or-less rewriting it, subbing Department H for SHIELD, our homespun heroes for the FF, maybe throwing it on an island in the NW Passage or somewhere off our other coasts, or at least getting rid of the Oriental theme. A Dr.Do

Well, like Nightmask said, the temp is relative to speed and trajectory (sp?).
According to a website I was reading, given enough speed, the reentry temperature can reach that of the surface of the sun!
I read about the 450 degrees in a science journal the other night at work. It was in an article about the next and most extreme of extreme sports... freefalling from orbit; something they ho

Thanks guys!
Nightmask, not to be argumentative, but the Advanced Judge's Book ranks 150 degrees fahrenheit at Remarkable; which according to the Intensity Table is comparable to a "burning warehouse and supplies".
As satillites and space stations are disposed of via uncontrolled reentries, I'd imagine that the heat would have to be greater than Good, but if we go by th

Hey!
First, if one is reduced to 0 G's one will be hurled off the face of the Earth at the rotational speed of the Earth.
How fast is *that*?
Second, an uncontrolled reentry into Earth's atmosphere will produce temperatures up to 450 degrees fahrenheit.
What is the rank of that temperature?

I'd certainly rather see that kind of comic than the present Thunderbolts.
It could also tell villain vs. hero stories, but from the reverse angle of the villain.

To reharsh an old subject; in both the rpg stats and the various OHOTMU, Sasquatch is consistently ranked as being able to lift/press a mere 75 tons.
Why?
In the comics themselves, Sasq. has *consistently* *displayed* strength levels that put him in the Class 100 field.
He has pulled a massive ship to shore and then lifted it against the suction of the water.

Superheroes have always seemed so willing to start fights with each other, for no good reason.
So, I was wondering, with all of the would be world conquorers and ego-maniaics that make up the supervillain community (for there are no ego-maniac superheroes, right?), why is it that they don't come into conflict more often. Like, lets say, Magneto is trying to conquor the world or

Well, the term human isn't an entirely abstract concept like marriage. Nor is it all that nonspecific.
Scientifically, human references Homo sapiens sapiens, our long extinct relative Homo sapines idaltu, and can be loosely applied to any species within the the Homo genus... including chimps by the standards of those scientists who would included them within the homo genus.

The definition isn't based on the "human norm" but on genetic classification.
Whether one is exceptional, in either a positive or negative manner, holds no bearing on the DNA that defines one's species.
Either one is Homo sapiens sapiens, and thus a recognized person under law, or one is not. There is no reason to presume that the legal useage of the term "man"

No, I'm not speculating about abstract "shoulds". Rather I'm talking about the observation of concrete facts.
The difference in DNA between a chimp and a human is 1.4%.
The difference in DNA between a Neanderthal and a human is 0.5% (based upon existing data).
While there is no way of objectively verifying the difference between a superhuman or mutant from a "fla

I got the basic game in something like 1984/85, but was so used to DnD that the system didn't "click" with me.
So, we started playing *Villains and Vigilantes* instead.
A couple of years later the friend of a friend reintroduced me to the system with the Advanced set, and I couldn't believe how I ever thought the system was lame.
My first character was a Thor rip-off,

You're kidding, right? Both are clearly Homo Sapiens Sapiens with "abilities" that fall entirely within the classical defintion and parametres of such, with the DNA to prove it.

I think that you're missing my point, Nightmask, and way overemphasizing the "you're trying to dehumanize superhumans" stuff.
The fact is that superhumans, and particularly mutants, aka. Homo Sapiens Superior, *aren't* human, aka. Homo Sapins Sapiens, technically speaking. They share many poignant characteristics with us, both good and ill, but they are endowed with ab

I'm not talking about dragging anyone down, preordaining anyone's guilt, or denying them any rights, Nightmask. Well, *equality* is a basic assumption in both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Constitutions of various Western "Nations".
But of course, in a superhuman world, this can't be assumed as superhumans are, by defintion, *more* than human, with capabilities ranging far beyond what is definitive of the human species.
As a result, one might conclude that the righ
