According to the rules, a character can momentarily boost/push their lifting capacity, ie. their Strength, by +1CS with a Red Strength feat.
As such, would you allow similar "bursts of strength" for purposes of punching and escaping? Would you place any limitations on such feats, eg. -1 CS for 3 rounds after a successfull burst of Strength?

Says you. Batman is a *thinking* man, and all he needs to do is play his trump card, ie. a nice little chunk o' kryptonite, to kick the terd out of flyboy.
And flyboy knows

Batman vs. Daredevil
Batman. Seems to me that he has the psychological edge and is willing to go places DD isn't.
Okay, okay, its because I think that Batman is cool ... er, cooler.
Hulk vs. Doomsday
Hmmmmm. Hulk. I don't think that Doomsie could put the Green Skinned Goliath away fast enough to maintain the edge, and as soon as the Hulk got going, that would be it fo

While the Classic Marvel RPG has to be one of my favourite RPG systems, and works with wonderful simplicity in regards to high powered supers, there is something that has continued to pop up in my thoughts as I compare stats and which continues to pop up in campaigns.
First lets say we take the at clam strength of the Hulk (Unearthly). That is a blow that is capable of generating enough force

This is a character concept that I have long held in mind, but which I never actually got the chance to fully define or play.
The characters super-name is Drighten, which is the modernized form of the Old English word Drihten, meaning "warlord" ... though it was also a title given to the High-God (Tiw/Tyr, Woden/Odhinn, Christ/Krist) and as the master rank in the native guild hiera

Well, Rogue has always gotten my engine going, so, if I weren't already involved, and despite that pesky little mutant power of hers, she'd be my choice.

I'm not sure how interested you folks will be in this, but a while ago I ran a zombie-style campaign that ultimately morphed into a prototype-super-powers era type game.
It was based upon the idea that, much like the mythology regarding Roswell, an alien ship crashed landed on the earth during the 50's. Upon this ship was an incredibly hostile lifeform with a tremendous app

Let's not forget that in the proper use of a shield, one doesn't take blows head on. The shield should be receiving the blow at an angle, ideally, so as to minimize the impact.
So, between proper use and the specific alloys that Caps shield is made out of, he could turn aside a pretty hefty blow. I do believe however that he once suffered a broken arm from .... ???? .... a blow fr

Just for the sake of clarity; I am a proud Canadian with no interest in American policies or "patriot" acts. This question has been kicking around my ol'noggin since I first started reading x-Men comics back in the early 80's.
So, this was never intended to be a thinnly veiled anything. It was meant to pose a frivolous question regarding a hypothetical situation. And rese

Here is an interesting question that a couple of responses have given rise to ...
If human beings cant be trusted to handle a spb registration without abusing it, as has been voiced, what makes anyone think that human beings could handle super powers without an equal or greater possibility of abuse?
It seems to me that if we are scared that a registration act might be abused by those in p

Okay. But the question assumes that you don't have any superpowers yourself. A few, perhaps many other people do, but not you. You're the guy whose car gets crushed, or whose house gets blown down, or whose granny is given a heartattack or whose entire communiuty gets vapourized, or whatever by these s.p.b.s -- whose mercy you're at even moreso than a bunch of, ahem, "libera

Does any have any idea on what stats this guy, the older of the two, has?
He supposedly has superstrength and limited invulnerability, but apparently Northstar was able to go toe-to-toe with him in Alpha Flight 106 (vol.1).
Does anyone know if Northstar was able to hurt him? What it took? A single blow? Multiple hyper-speed blows? A charge? How much did MM's blows hurt Northstar? Cou

Does anyone have any idea how many super powered beings, of human origin (mutants included), exist on earth in relation to the number of normal humans, 6 billion last I heard?
There must be at least a few hundred customed SPB, so we must be talking, like, what, one spb for every ten million? Or is that estimate way off base?

While it is easy to sympathize with our favourite heroes on this issue, how would you folks feel if you lived in a world of super powered beings and hi-tech wonders but were yourself just an average joe/jane?
We require people who own firearms to register those firearms and ondergo mandatory training and criminal background checks. If someone is well trained in martial arts and weapo

I would say that it depends. If a katana can cut a silk scarf that is left to float and flutter down across the blade than Wolvie's claws, which can shred with CL1000 ability, has a good chance to cut Reed regardless of his plasticity, IMO.
Judging strictly by the MSHRPG stats, Wolvie would have to be able to generate over and above Remarkable (30) damage to be able to harm Reed with hi

I alaways just used the Block manuever, using the character's fighting and the material strength of the shield instead of just the character's strength. Sometimes the shield-wielder is ready, braced and their shield at just the right angle to receive the blow, resulting in that +1CS, but most times it is a struggle to get it into position, yourself braced, and the shield tilted at jus

Little is known about the mutant that would come to be known as Powersurge prior to the manifestation of his powers. Jason Fontaine is known to have been born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and, as far as can be told, he was your average Canadian teenager, noteworthy and distinguishable from his peers only in his religious interest in the heroes and deities of his NW European heritage.
