What are you talking about the uni power for? What does that have to do with the price of tea in china?

He is also vuldrible to sun light not of our son. A high tech hero started blasting him with rays from a yellow sun. That drained his powers.

This discussion started in our draft thread and I wanted to highlight it to a larger group.
I contend that some powers are simply better then other powers.
Two people with different powers at the same level with the same skill level one power is inherantly better then the other.
Her are some examples. Assume all powers are at Unearthly. Try to think also in comic terms as game mechanic

I cant disagree more
Combat effectiveness
again 3 guys who can only engage in melee combat. Against a bunch of guys that can fly and have range combat they are useless. shehulk, wonderman, wolverine and melee fighters. That hurts a lot. Dr stange makes up for some of it as does torch but too dependant on a slugfest.

And I didnt denie that. But which is more versitile energy blast. Or weather control. So I have energy blast in the form of lightning just like you do and MORE. SO how can weather control be equally as dive

And if you actually think all pwoers are creatred equal, then why in the marvel RPG game do some powers cost two slots. Apparently the writers of the game agreed with me in that respect.

The fact of the matter is some powers are just better. Weather control if I am fighting a villian who can resist energy well then my lighting wont work. Oh but wait now I can whip up a air storm to throw him around, or I can make the area really cold and freeze him. Or i can blind him with fog.
Person with energy blast as a power gets smashed.

Also in my field of popwer selection I rated you low because of your choice of powers. Now while you stated "nightcrawler the way he uses teleporting makes him great."
This is not an evaluation of how your heros use their powers that falls more under combat effectiveness. But an evaluation of powers compared to others powers.
Example what is a better power to have

I agree with you on reed not being a great leader. But I always ranked cyclops as a great leader right after capt america. He was groomed for it by prof X. He contstantly is trying to train the teams and guide them. I mean dont get me wrong he has had his personal problems but that does not make you a bad leader.

yes rouges pwer is unique but again it is used by touch. nightclawler, colossus, rogue, gamoria all great characters but all of them need to touch thier oppoent. One kitty pryde takes out all four. Vision takes out all four. Scream from threats team takes out all four. If this is the case how can you score them even moderately in diversity?

Punstarr: Gamora, Cyclops, Marvel Girl III, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Rogue
Combat effectivness 10
Gamora, nighterclawler, tank in colossus. great fighters in combat.
Team cohesiveness: 3 Not withstanding gamora they are all x-men. SO you rank high here.
Leadership: 3 cyclops next best thing to captain america
Power diversity: 1 you have 4 characters that relie on physical cpmb

leadership
once an alcholic always. And actually this goes for ms marvel too. Second, have you seen how much she has been questioning herself in avengers so far she is doing awful as a leader.
Flaw
problem is sundragon always has to be with scream. Splitting up is not much of an option and if she goes down, ouch.
Iron man specilized. He is not diverse he is in th ehulk buster suit.

Also along the lines of hulk meggan comparison. ITs not so much that the hulk gets stupid that makes him a bad thing. IT's his being stupid and prone to irration deadly violence. Meggan may be decieved but she wont fly off the handle as easily and start killing her team. Not to say this would not happen but it would take dramaticlly more.

THe only further comment I'll make is dont lump soul attacks of hellstrom together with mental attacks. Yes they are both psyce defended but totally different out side of game terms. ANy many things might be suseptable to soul attacks but not mental. Vison, IMO fits this mold. I think most of us would say that he is a humanized android and likely has a soul. He is more then a robot but
