The UPB tends to try and put these forward as individual powers.

Power stunts are special adapations of the main power.

These give the PC a chance to use their powers in new different ways.

after TEN attempts on the same power stunt the character does not need to spend Karma to attempt the stunt.

Each time the same stunt is attempted the PC needs to spend a minimum of 100pts of Karma.
The first 3 attempts I beleive need a red feat to be successful, thus inaddition to 100pts Karma being spent more karma must be expended to reach this red feat after the dice roll.

I believe that the next 3 attempts are Yellow feats. Follow the same steps as for red feats.
The the last 4 attemps require green feats to succeed. Follow the same steps as for red feats.

After this it becomes a normally stunt and the character does not need to spend the mandatory 100 pts of Karma to attempt the stunt.

A new power is much much more expensive.

Essentially a valid reason is needed for the new power to manifest in said PC.
And the Player must spend, I think, 40 times the starting rank number. Plus I beleive 2000 points of Karma to allow the power to manifest.
Again all of this is with the GM's approval
