Well I saw bits and pieces of the dragonball conversion thread and I have to admit I was intrigued and figured I'd give it a shot. I apologize in advance if I am bringing up something that you would all would have preferred to forgotten. >_<

For my Goku write up I decided to use Goku as he was at the end of the Dragonball Z series, since it's the one I'm most familiar with. I realize that I've also probably "dumbed down" his abilities from what is seen in the anime so that I could bring them in line with a level that can be measured in this system. This was intentional so please try to look past it.
Altogether, this took me about two weeks to complete. Be gentle. >_<

Energy Source: Goku's
body is a massive energy storehouse. He
has harnessed his spiritual ki and is able to convert it into physical
energy. At full rest his body maintains
a Class 5000 positive energy charge, with Energy Emission and other noted power
intensity FEATs draining his energy reserves until he collapses from exhaustion
at Shift-0. Each round in which he does
not take an action or take any damage, he can focus himself to increase his
energy by the intensity of Psyche feat he rolls, no penalty for failure. He does not need to announce his intent to
do this. It is done after all other
actions have occurred. His energy
provides him with the Strength, Agility, and Endurance listed above. It also provides him with the following
abilities:

<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Resistance: He constantly projects his energy
in an invisible sheath around his body that serves to blunt physical blows
from his enemies and protect him from the emissions of energy
attacks. He has Amazing protection
from physical attacks and Incredible against Energy and Heat.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>True
Flight: Capable of attaining
Shift-Z airspeeds.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Energy
Emission-Hands: Goku can
manifest his energy into explosive energy balls or into hot focused beams,
projected from his fingertips or palms of his hands. Initially it is at Monstrous rank, this
provides the following stunts and abilities:</li>
<ul style='margin-top:0in' type=circle>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Energy
bolts or beams that inflict up to Power rank damage or -2CS Heat</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Energy
"bombs" that will explode on contact causing Power rank -1CS damage over
a maximum of 3 areas.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Kamehameha
Wave: By giving up his initiative
position he can charge his energy to increase his Energy bolt damage by
up to 2CS. He can take no other
action in the round if he does so, except to move. If he is last in the initiative he
must wait to fire until the next round.
This extra damage does not increase the drain on his personal
energy.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>By
combining with his speed Goku can fire a number of bolts equal to his
Hyper-Speed rank -3CS, each at a maximum of -4CS damage in a single
round. They must all be aimed at
one target or as an area attack centered on a target.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Spirit
Bomb: This is a concentrated
energy attack that attempts to vaporize an opponent through pure energy
generation rather than explode them.
Goku must focus and telepathically gather spirit energy from any
willing living being he can sense.
The Spirit Bomb takes one round to form and begins at Amazing
Damage. For each additional round
that Goku successfully gathers energy, it increases in damage by 1CS. It is up to the Judge to decide
whether Goku succeeds in finding new life to borrow energy from in a
given round. Given that Goku has
proven capable of sensing life across vast distances, the maximum damage
potential of the Spirit Bomb could prove to be just as limitless. He cannot use this ability while a
Super Saiyan</li>
</ul>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Energy
Control: Goku can shape and
direct the path of his energy attacks with Monstrous ability.</li>
<ul style='margin-top:0in' type=circle>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>By
manipulating his energy sheath, he can intercept incoming energy attacks
as they reach him and attempt to turn them away from his body with
Monstrous ability versus the damage of the attack. He may attempt this once for each
incoming attack that he is aware of.
Each round in which he does this is considered an intensity drain
equal to half of the strongest attack he successfully deflected.</li>
<ul style='margin-top:0in' type=square>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level3 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.5in'>Blue/White: He fails in his attempt</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level3 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.5in'>Green: He manages to deflect the attack
partially, reduce the damage by 1CS</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level3 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.5in'>Yellow: He deflects the attack in its
entirety.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level3 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.5in'>Red: He reflects the attack back to its
origin.</li>
</ul>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Energy
Masking: By manipulating the flow
of energy within his body, Goku can lower the "appearance" of his
spiritual strength. This serves
two functions: to make it harder
for an opponent to gauge his strength and to make it more difficult for
an opponent to follow his movements by sensing his energy. This ability is considered to be -1CS
intensity Stealth versus Energy Detection.</li>
</ul>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Hyper-Speed: Goku is extremely fast. He possesses Hyper-Speed at Amazing
rank, which he uses to move about quickly in combat and track his enemies'
movements. It grants him the
following abilities:</li>
<ul style='margin-top:0in' type=circle>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Can
reach his maximum speed in one round and takes no penalties to stopping
or starting suddenly.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Substitute
his Hyper-Speed rank for Fighting for making multiple attacks and
evading, and for Agility for dodging and catching projectiles.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Perceive
any objects momentum as moving -7CS slower than normal.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>Perform
up to 3 combat actions for every 1 normally allowed.</li>
</ul>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Kaioken
Attack: A form of a power
boost clearly signified by his body glowing a bright red. He can increase his Strength and
Hyper-Speed rank by up to 2CS, but a successful Psyche Feat can increase
the boost by up to an additional 2CS (total of four). This also increases the column shifts
of his power stunts accordingly, but does not increase health. Last 1-10 rounds, with each subsequent
round requiring an endurance FEAT to maintain, and it may be ended
prematurely at any point. While
using this ability, all power intensity drains are doubled (I.E. an
Unearthly FEAT would drain 200 instead of 100). This ability cannot be used above Super Saiyan 1.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Solar
Flare: Emits a Monstrous
intensity burst of light intended to attack his opponent's eyesight. Everyone in line of sight within 2
areas must make an Endurance FEAT or be blinded for 1-10 rounds. This attack can only be avoided by
taking total cover or leaving the area of effect, not simply by closing
one's eyes or "looking away". This
ability does not drain power.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Life
Detection: Class 3000. Goku can sense the presence of entire
races of beings and life forms clear across the cosmos. He can also detect the presence of
specific individuals that he is familiar with.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Energy
Detection: Unearthly. Goku can locate a person by sensing the
spiritual energy within their body.
He can also get a general sense of how powerful an opponent might
be by comparing that energy to his own.
When in the same area as the opponent, he can detect their exact
position down to the inch. This
ability also makes it very difficult for someone to blindside Goku with
any type of energy attack.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Instant
Transmission: Goku can
transform his body into light photons and travel at the speed of light
from one point to another. While
using this technique, he is essentially invulnerable, crosses any
barriers, and can even survive the vacuum of space. He uses the energy and/or life he
senses from others as a reference point for his travel, and can move to
any location around that energy, so long as he can clearly sense it. He will also transport anyone who is
touching him, as well as anyone who is touching them, and so on, with no
apparent adverse effects. He
cannot control this effect, so he could not for example teleport out of
and opponents grip, as he would only carry them with him. This ability is equivalent to
Teleportation of Class 3000 rank.
In combat, he most frequently uses this ability to avoid a ranged
attack while simultaneously putting himself in a position to blindside his
opponent. This ability does not
drain power but his maximum distance is limited to his current personal
energy rank.</li>
<ul style='margin-top:0in' type=circle>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level2 lfo1;tab-stops:list 1.0in'>If
Goku declares his intention to use this power during the pre-combat
phase, this ridiculously potent ability allows him to roll on the Evade
column for any one ranged attack (including area attacks) made against
him that round. In addition,
opponents attempting to hit him during that round must succeed in an
Unearthly Intuition FEAT, otherwise Goku will have teleported out of the
way.</li>
</ul>
</ul>

Limitation: An opponent who also knows Instant
Transmission can use it to counter the effects of this ability when it is used
against them, and only for them.
Everyone else takes the same penalties.

<ul style='margin-top:0in' type=disc>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Self-Evolution: As a Saiyan, any time that Goku
survives a near-death experience his body grows tremendously in strength
as it repairs itself. If Goku is
reduced to zero health and loses at least one rank of Endurance and
survives to recover full health, his Strength, Agility, and Endurance go
up by one column shift, along with appropriate health increases. It is unknown whether or not there is
an upper limit to this ability or if Goku can still benefit from it, as it
has been considerable time since he has lost a battle this badly.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Fusion: A difficult technique, which Goku can
use to combine his power with another being of similar race and body type
to his own that also possess this power.
It takes one round for Goku and his partner to perfectly align
their remaining energy levels and strike a series of poses at which point
their bodies cease to exist and create an entirely new being. This new being possesses Fighting,
Agility, Strength, Endurance, Reason, Intuition, and Psyche equal to
whichever original had the higher rank for each stat, as well as all the
powers, stunts and talents of both beings. If the two beings shared an identical power, then the ranks
may combine to produce a greater result.
This fusion lasts for 300 rounds, at which point the two bodies
return to the state they were in at the moment the fusion began. After it ends, neither Goku nor his
partner may fuse with anyone else for the next hour.</li>
<li class=MsoNormal style='mso-list:l2 level1 lfo1;tab-stops:list .5in'>Power
Transformation: As part of his
Saiyan heritage, Goku can transform himself into several stages of a Super
Saiyan, increasing his powers exponentially. This is a combination of Body Transformation and Power
Boost. This ability only functions
while Goku wills it. If he is
incapacitated or falls unconscious he reverts to normal.</li>

 Goku is
pure of heart, kind, and has an
energetic disposition, with zero tolerance for injustice and evil. Goku is also known to have a fierce love of
competition, specifically fighting. He will always give his rivals a chance to
change their intentions instead of killing them. He is often naïve, sometimes dangerously so, since he believes in
taking people at their word. While he
has proven he's not the cleverest person in the room, he has also proven a very
competant fighter with the ability to analyze his opponents attacks to find

and the extent of his abilities, and is thus hesitant to use anything he might
see as an unfair advantage. Goku's
personality has earned him respect from former rivals, which has developed
alliances, and even friendships with them.

ravenous, never-ending hunger. No
matter how much he consumes in a sitting, he always seems to have room for
more, and no amount of time between meals seems to affect his performance in

I like it, but that's all I'm going to say since I was so involved in the heated debate on the subject before. Nice work though.

One thing however that doesn't make much sense system-wise under his Hyper Speed of Amazing...

"Substitute his Hyper-Speed rank for Fighting for making multiple attacks and evading, and for Agility for dodging and catching projectiles."

His Fighting's Unearthly. Wouldn't using his Hyper Speed Rank instead actually be worse for him in terms of multiple attacks and evading?

True. But since it's considered a power stunt under Hyper-Speed, that means he may choose to do it, he doesn't have to. I created that power under the assumption that as his maximum abilities grew in power, so did his base ones, so initially his Agility and Fighting were less that his base Hyper-Speed rank. Since his base stats have now improved, in his normal form he no longer has to make those adjustments.

Once he transforms his Hyper-Speed rank increases, to a max of Shift-Z a SSJ3, which adjusts his power stunts accordingly. At that point it makes sense for him to start substituting his speed rank for Fighting to hit or Agility to dodge (they are separate power stunts, I just listed them together to save space).

But anyways, I'm glad all you liked it. :) I finished Vegeta last night, and, if there's any interest, I can attempt to tackled the other characters from the Z series.
And just to remark, this character was never meant to be played. It's mostly as a referencce point to anyone who might be interested in running a DBZ styled campaign, or on the off chance anyone wanted to include Goku in their current campaign. (who am I to judge?)

Okay, the only ep of DBZ I ever saw involved something with mentioning training with weighted clothes or something like that and when you take them off, your 'power stat' goes through a huge increase. Could someone explain this to me?

Simple. When they take their weighted clothes off, due to the absence of the (presumably) many tons of weight, they suddenly got faster and stronger. Power Level was supposed to be a combination of a measure of a fighter's fighting skill, speed, strength, and energy output. The aliens had these little devices called scanners they wore over their eyes that measured a fighter's power level. After a certain point in the series, everyone's power levels were so ridiculously high that scanners would just blow up if they tried to use them on any of the main characters or bad guys in the show, so they pretty much because obsolete.

Hmmmm, well don't forget Babidi had a scanner that could handle scanning a Super-saiyan without exploding (he used it on Goku's group after all). He also had a storage cell that was proven capable of draining Gohan during the tournament nearly dry while he was in a Super-saiyan state and revert him to normal. Only the older scouters that Freeza's crew had access to couldn't handle those powers levels.

I was surprised that during the Yu Yu Hakusho series you never see anyone using anything like a scanner, UNTIL the final Storyarc, after Yusuke goes to the demon realm to meet and eventually train against his ancestor, who was the undisputed warrior of the Demon Realms even starved to the verge of death after more than a thousand years without eating. Then you suddenly see scanners show up.

It's called resistance training. Martial artists, athletes, and body builders used weighted clothing, harnessess, and bands. Your latent potential energy, momentum, inertia, and velocities increase because you're no longer slowed by the extra weight.

*blinks* An exceptionally nice martial arts/combat anime, deals with a 14 year old boy who's possessed of exceptional combat talent and a slack-off in school, who dies in the first episode trying to save a kid from a car, only to find out he's shocked the spirit world that had him recorded as dying as an old man as they never expected him to be willing to risk his life for anyone.

Given the chance to return to life he eventually agrees after seeing the grief his death has caused his mother and others, and ends up drafted by the Spirit Realm to deal with rogue demons threatening the Human Realm. Pacing isn't too bad, and unlike DBZ doesn't suffer from tons of episodes tossed in full of fluff combat while waiting for fresh Manga material to come out and translate. I rate it an A+ anime and must see.
