I'm curious why you didn't try for some of the optional powers for Hyper-Invention in place of say Dream Travel and/or Body Adaptation (although I can see the value in keeping the latter). Weapons Tinkering would have been a good companion power in place of dream travel, and along with mechanical creation/artifact creation would have given access to useful items almost on demand (although the use of 1health/1oz created is a serious error in the original rules, it's way too small).
