Classic Marvel book is most current?

I'm interested in playing Clasic Marvel. What is the most current book that I would need to purchase so I can learn to play this game and teach it to my players? We usually play D&D and there is 3 core rulebooks for that game. How does this game work? Is there a book for the players and a separate book for the game master? What are the names of those books so I can find them on e-bay or simular source?

The two sets you should look for are:

1.) The Marvel Super Heroes Advanced RPG - This includes the Players' Book, the Judge's (Gamemaster's) Book, Map, Character Cards and dice. (That's if you find a complete version.) Released in 1986. This is the most used set.

2.) The Marvel Super Heroes Basic Set (REVISED version) - Released in 1991, this is the revised version of the original Basic set. It is a lot more straight-forward and has a lot of clarifications on the rules. It also refers to the Advanced set once you're comfortable with the Basic Set.

You can find PDF of the basic and advanced books under the Other_Stuff tab while you're trying to find the hardcopies, the downloads subsection. The last published books would be the Advanced set with the Players and Judges books being the general core books, although the Ultimate Powers Book exists to allow for a greatly expanded range of powers and possible character types. There are several quality grades of scans of the various books around, some with a much higher resolution for more clarity if you settle for printing out copies yourself.
