I think that is essentually what God does. By God I mean the Christian God. He has empowered others to do great things. THough we see this more in his polar opposite in hell cretures. Ghostrider.

I was making sweeping references to origin stories. A god is born with his powers. A mutant is born with his powers.

I prefer the "accident" origin to the "born with power" origin, that's all.
