I haven't checked out that limited series but it's unlikely Zeus is really dead. Some modern weapons with a magical flare to them would be interesting, although that'd require someone other than Ares to make them. While he's a master of weapons he's not a craftsman as most pantheons have only a select few or just one god that crafted most or all of the godly magical artifacts. His trick with the Hydra blood against Hercules was an interesting combo of magic with modern technology (an evil one but hey that's totally in character with him).

The Wrecker's Crowbar was also quite unique, moreso than the Absorbing Man's Prison Ball, and having the power like to end up in it when struck by lightning a cute little weakness given his preference was fighting a god of lightning. Hmmmm, I wonder what happened to the Wrecker and his Wrecking Crew and the Absorbing Man during the time the gods were dead and Asgard destroyed given that Asgardian magic was/is the source of their powers.
