The Supreme Intelligence has finally devised a way to revive the Kree gene-pool; by kidnapping earth's mightiest heroes and using the Genetic Syphoning Device to drain off their genetic potential and add it to the Kree gene-pool. Of course, in order to effect this plan the Supreme Intel. needs a powerful, but young and niaeve group of earthlings to effect the kidnappings.

Thus, S.I. shall send an agent to Earth or find a dupe, who shall assume the mantel of an earth scientist and lead the characters to beleive that, by using their powers, the heroes of Earth are unwittingly threatening to upset the delicate balance of eneriges that hold the planet together. Thus, they must either surrender themselves for further study or be taken in by force if necessary.

Thoughts? Other plot ideas?

Okay. Here is another.

We are all very familair with the Tsunami that struck SE Asia a few years back. In fact, that tsunami was a demonstration of power by a villain known as ___________ (it was Dominion in my campaign). This demonstration was preceded by a message from Dominion to the authroities of the West, in which he promised them that something terrible would soon happen. It was immediately followed by another message from Dominion, in which the villain demanded several billion dollars from the Western nations or similar tsunamis would strike the west coast of Europe and the east coast of North America.

The heroes have 24 hours (or some limted anmount of time) to find out who Dominion is, where he is, how he plans on accomplishing this threat, and how to stop it.

In my campaign, Dominion was a former US scientist, Dr.Peter Helmsley, who, nearly a decade ago, had been heading a top secret US military project, codenamed Geoforce. By means of this weapon, the army could cause localized earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis and other geological phenomenon to achievement a decisive military advantage. However, in the end, it was concluded that such manipulation could potentially have far reaching and devasting effects and so the project was scrapped. Helmsly apparently died in a small lab explosion immediately after, that authorities deemed a suicide.

The heroes were first sent to the epicentre of the tsunami in SE Asia, where they found a small installation on the ocean floor. This is where they had their first tussle with Dominion's lackeys, who were busy clearing out the last of the base and abandoning it. They escaped thanks to their teleporter.

The heroes were nevertheless able to recover some seemingly insignificant bits of technology for analysis.

They than had the choice of investigating the Canary Islands, which had been determined to be the home to a large volcano that is a perfect catalyst for a major Atlantic Ocean tsunami, or the old Project Geoforce installation on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, which was mostly likey destroyed.

Dominion played both angles, just in case one was thwarted. He had a small force of his superpowered lackeys head for the Canary Islands and place some sub-nukes at strategic points within the volcano.

It was at the Project Geoforce base however that the Geoforce Weapon System was being brought back online. And once the countdown was intiated, nothing short the weapons (and thus, probably the entire bases) destruction could stop it.

Here is a cool link on the mega-tsunami that the Canary Islands are capable of setting off...

Really, shouldn't we be getting in there with shovels and bulldozers and removing as much mass from this thing as possible?!?!

I personally like tying real world events and dangers into campaigns. I find it allows the players to think in terms of real life and death and real world consequences to the hero/villain strugle.

here is a plot.

the red skull travels forward intime at the end towards the end of WW2 and arrives in America where there are Sleeper Robots that were never used.

After revamping them with help from elements of the Nazi underground he uses them to attack both captain america and Nick fury.

They become his captives while the heros are secondered to find and rescue them.

(Cappy and Fury have both been tortured to an inch of their lives and literally need saving) when they are strong enough after being saved (that is if they are saved) they inform the PC's of the real target.

The problem is that Cappy and Nick are not the real targets.

The real target is the Heli Carrier.

When the PC's realise this they return after narrowly avoiding being blown up at the base where Fury and Cappy are help prisioner.

Only to see the Heli Carrier under attack by about 50 to 100, 50ft sleeper robots. It is then upto the Players to rescue the Heli Carrier.

Of course the Red Skull does not know that he died in WW2 and if confronted with this is liable to not take it well.

I have the stats for the sleeper Robots in which I posted somewhere on this site
