Yeah, he's certainly slipped some since he went to CBS, though.
Did you see the Avengers comic he was in about 20 years ago? Beast and Wonderman or someone were watching the show when it was new.

Forgot to vote.
Also, I watched Conan last night when they showed the recent one w/ Dan Castanella and Harry Shearer on it. They do most of the Simpsons voices, and Conan used to write for the show as well as SNL.
They did a bunch of improv x-rated Simpsons stuff w/ Conan, but the best part was a random Michael Jackson joke.

Sometimes the writers try and make social points w/in the realm of satire.
Read one at a time, the writings don't appear much, but when you read more than a few, a pattern emerges and you can tell the writers aren't really mean-spirited and are actually quite intelligent.

I know water breathing COULD save my life, but the opportunity will probably never arise, and it just sounds stupid.
Who wants to sit around the base in a lame fin costume waiting for Dr. Doom to , well, you know, to do something underwater? Meanwhile everyone else gets to go on all missions. They'd probably really make fun of a water breathing guy, too.
I know Wolverine would.
