We're going with recognised sources though, right? As much as I read into legends, everyones' view will be different, so I picked a god which has been 'established'. :)

Well, in that instance, he wasn't surprised (well, technically, he was, at Flash's judgement, but he had the time to fly up and survey before attempting), so... forming it is one thing, but then, I guess he would have had to maintain holding the earth's land together for say... 5 rounds while everyone back on Earth handled below...
... Well, good thing he's allowed to use kar

Is simple to bring back Jormungandr. He's probably with Hela. And since I recall that she doesn't like Odin too much...
Raiden from Mortal Kombat versus Thor, Thunder God versus Thunder God.
... Raiden would probably be decapitated with one blow to the head from Thor's hammer, unless Raiden goes into energy form straight away... :)

I'd like to see Thor from Marvel Universe take on DC Vertigo's Thor... but then, the Vertigo version has only shown the ability to get remarkably drunk, and try to chat up Bast. :)

Well, the constructs GL builds from the ring does seem to work outside of the ring's power sometimes... such as the creation Steel made to switch everyones' minds back to normal during that graphic novel when the JLA's minds got switched (Steel was in GL's body)...
BTW, JLA: Year 1. What would Hal Jordan have had to roll to keep the earth together during that scene when the

1. If GL is still suffering from the lost of his city, then he won't join the Avengers *gasp*. Instead, he'll do a X-Man and wander the globe for a while, helping out wherever, upon settling in say, New York and live among the people... maybe. Who knows, he'll bump into Spider-Man in Manhatten and probably do some teaming up occasionally with other characters.

Yeah, but Thanos would just ambush a Lantern, right? If Jordan was able to take over ALL of the Corps by himself (though I never saw that comic)... heh.
You can just imagine one of the Deviants being chosen for a ring. Ransak. If he doesn't attack the Guardian or eat the ring, he might make a good lantern... maybe. :)

Excepting if your character is deemed so popular, you'll be either:
1: Resurrected (Superman), with all powers gone temporarily until JUST the right moment to restore them
or
2: Live on after death (Hal Jordan) as a being of tremendous potential

Ha, the LT will step in because you 'unbalance' the normal world, and either:
1: Strip you of your powers and replace them with feeble or shift 0 ranks
or
2: Put you in the marvel universe where you really will have to prove your worth! And because you know hero identities and if you make use of them, some more plots will follow!
a) heroes will automatically distrust you
b) villai

Green Goblin is quite nasty... indirectly caused the death of Gwen (I say indirectly, because technically, it was Spidey's webbing which broke her neck - another point to Goblin), manipulated events of Ben Reilly, only to kill him, knows Peter Parker's secrets, brought out the Daily Bugle (I think? I haven't been following as of late), drops hints which freaks Peter out... in shor

Hmmm... suggestions...
You ever thought about having a small section on the character profiles for film characters? ^_^; You know, Robocop, Terminator, Predator, etc? I saw something similiar on another place, but it was kinda inactive. ^_^;
Could be used for crossovers, and maybe people could send in campaigns too?
