This film really did a good job of capturing the raw power Superman possesses. Look for the little "Mach haloes" when he accelerates in flight.

When I walked out of this movie, I was exclaiming how much I liked it. My brother was not impressed, and I was kind of surprised by that.

My only beef is that I would have liked to see Supes fight some superpowered opposition, rather than just trashing the bad guys or getting trashed thanks to the prescence of kryptonite.

I would love to see a Superman movie that did not involve Kryponite in any shape or form. Isn't is supposed to be a little rare? Seems like a cop-out.

I was reading the Silver Surfer's bio and wanted to know more about the power cosmic. Is it the same as cosmic energy that Eternals have? What other people can manipulate it strognly? What are it's limits? What are it's weaknesses? I read that Doom devised some kind of device that took away Surfer's access to the power?
And, can the Surfur create non-living(organic I g

Off the cuff,
I like the ranking systems for the stats. In Champions, I have a CON of 37 or a Int of 52. What exactly does that mean? In Marvel, it spells it out pretty well in the judges book. An agility of Incredible is equivalent to that of an Olympic Gymnast, and normal human max. An Intuition of Excellent means you have "fine eye for detail", as compared to full "Detecti

I heard that the makers of the new FF movie had to actually change or delete some scenes because they were too similar to ones in The Incredibles. And that they were a little upset, but couldn't really quite find enough to do anything legally.
It wasn't so much a rip as studying all of the cliches and putting them in motion. Having a speedster and a strongman is pretty normal. Voile

As anyone who read my own recent rant on the the subject of character non-death would know, I agree that some characters should die and stay dead. I think this would be better from the point of view of long term artistic integrity and quality.
But, there is an inherent conflict of interest with big name RPG and comic lines like WofC, DC, and Marvel (why are they still called comics?). On one

Oh, yeah that's a lot. Well, by itself it isn't, but get, say 20 people that download it, and, well, there you go. :o)

One cool way to handle character death that I *do* like is a "What If?" type of alternate universe where the character is actually alive due to different events.

What's the total size of all of the files? 200k each doesn't seem too big.

There are a lot of things I like about the superhero world, and there are things that really blow the reality of it for me. One is death. *nobody* ever dies forever. They always come back.

I think that in general, a magical weapon doesn't cause magical damage. I don't know the specifics of Mjolnir, but I got the impression that the magic is bound in the creation of the item and holding it together. The magic involved in the creation gives it it's material strength.
So, when someone is struck with it, they are being hit by an object of material strength X and so ta

That would be a good weakness for a robot/hi-tech hero. MSH doesn't really require a weakness (although the UPB does), but a lot of other systems do. And, they're

Yes, you'd have to make a power rank roll (of your Intuition) to see if you hit.

Like most stats, Endurance has a lot of components. The player's books lists toughness and physical resistance, normal moving speed, success in charging attacks, resisting disease and toxins, holding your breath, and how long you can exert your self physically. It also affects your resistance to getting stunned or slammed, and how quickly you heal or recover from harm.

If you're using a mental stat, then I would use Intuition. The player's book says Intuition is "a measure of wisdom, wits, common sense, and battle reflexes". That sounds closer than anything else.

I can see them working in different ways. A psi-bolt could be the same as any other energy bolt, but instead of it coming from Iron Man's guantlet, it is generated by a mind. Once it leaves the guantlet, gun, or head, it is all the same energy.
But, that's probably not what's intended for most telepaths. I think the rules have have endurance checks to see if the target is stunn
