I downloaded it a while back. Sorry i could not respond, it's hard for me to be online these days.
I was VERY IMPRESSED. Professional is a good word for it. I like how the opposition can be altered depending on the power level of the group. The roster book is strong and deep. Nice maps and illustrations too. Question and answer sections in the chapters should make GM-ing easy. Very well t

Well what about heroes from the cosmos cubed series? It specifically says that they operate from a detatched veiw of reality since they see the bigger picture, so they do not lose karma or gain karma in the usual ways. Why doesn't that work for other types of 'heroes'? To me it would make sense that their karma awards and penalties should be more consistant with their motivations.

So as long as no references are made to any existing Marvel characters then not only an updated UPB is possible but a sourcebook with revamped game rules as well?

My 2 cents:
I like what I see except it doesn't seem like a true power to me. Especially not a starred power. Hyper-Speed would be a far better power and it's not even a starred power. I actually think the Martial arts H is more effective by guarrantying at least one extra attack without the limitation (according to your description of it), and it comes cheaper (it's only a tale

Hey Za Zen I sent you a private message regarding Doc. I would have been more specific but I didn't know if you would get it or not considering all the technical problems everyone has been having. Would hate to write a big to do message and you never even get the thing.
Niniri, sorry to hear about you leaving. I really loved your posts. Your alien spy was actually in my plans regarding D

You all have some really great characters. Have fun playing. Can I submit a write-up and maybe get in later? I know I don't have much time right now but looking at these write ups has got me really jones-ing to play. Maybe if a space opens up later, could you can keep me in mind?

Check out this thread regarding dodging.
Its the one thats influenced my own thinking the most. My own long winded comments are in there as well.
Regarding multiple attacks and actions I have opened it up to include other forms of attack as well as defense such as evading and blocking, sharp and blunt weapons, shooting, throwing sharp and blunt weapons, energy, and force attacks. In other

Just wanted to say I am enjoying the character ideas you guys are coming up with. You are all very creative. I especially love this machine master one. Love the ethereal body type with two of my favorite powers, machine animation and cyber communication. I like playing tech types and I had a "damn why didn't I think of that" moment.
Personally I don't have time to game any

My top 5 wealthiest:
1. Namor
2. Black Panther
3. Stark (can't decide if he is the wealhier than Doom or just cooler)
4. Doom
5. Arcade
Warren Worthington and Xavier get honorable mentions. I left out Luthor 'cause I dont know enough about him. Okay so now I'm done. No, really this time.

One more thing before I go, diamonds are also formed under the ocean but a greater depth. Although I admit I don't know how fast they could be mined, with a little comicbook imagination, and what we've read about the presence of carbon and the volcanic activity in the ocean, an arguement could be made that it might actually be easier for an Atlantean company to mine for diamonds.

Your responses are very uninformed Junderway, so here's some information you can check out.
For your fossil fuel argument, this rom the University of Michegan:
"Going back to the earlier days of Earth, the plants and animals that lived then eventually died and decomposed. The majority of these life forms were phytoplankton and zooplankton. When these ancient ocean dwellers died, the

You know what Muthal? I agree with Junderway's observation that Atlantis has been depicted as a Xenophobic society. Junderway, you have studied Oceanography. Then you should be able to appreciate what I'm saying. (Although a sea is much different from an ocean, which is what we are discussing in terms of resources)
For the most part they (Atlantis) do not participate in trade with ot

No one could have made a better point Muthal. Remember how old the civilization of Atlantis would have to be. How many years of ocean floor exploration do you think they have under them? Countries, including the U.S.A. spend billions on research of the oceans, to find out information that Namor's people have known for ages. If the nation of Atlantis used only 1 percent of it's time rese

Personally I actually like high level games. I feel like there is more room to be creative. What will it be this week: Bank heist? Terrorism? Skrull invasion? Galactus? More scenerios are possible since a lot less is impossible.
Just can't start to get lazy though.

Mentioning Namor changes the subjsct from wealthiest persons to wealthiest nations. Most of Earth is ocean area. I would think that Atlantis is the wealthiest nation on the planet, since they have access to the world's oceans. Namor can mine for natural resources that would be impossible for every other country on the planet. He controls the natural resources of every ocean on the planet sin

You say you have a character that could make Galactus pay attention. WHat level of opposition are you up against? Also does GM describe what your character feels after "he's looking at you"? Do you describe how your character deals with it? In other words, do you role-play the experience? Your problem may not be the IM aspect of the game. It may be instead of 'role playing

I've never played by IM. SOunds interesting though. I've done message board gaming and found the enjoyability of that really depends on the group and GM posting regularly. I liked being able to take my time and make descriptive posts but the game was really slow. Highpower games can be fun no matter how you play, but it will always boil down to the group taking time to develope the char

I just had tweaks of the present system. For one I allowed multiple actions for all attacks with the proper fighting feat roll. A Remarkable fighting feat allows two actions, Amazing allows three actions. This includes multiple evasion rolls as well. So if you have an Amazing fighting and your yellow feat roll indicates three attacks (now actions) then you had the choice to spend them all on offe

I would consider Arcade in this. He's got more killer robots and other technology than anyone this side of Dr. Doom, and a good portion of his assets have to be liquid since he is really a payed assasin. The guy kills people with an amusement park. No wait. Is that PARK or PARKS? I think Murderworld may actually be a franchise or something. Whatever the deal is, he's paid.
