I need a vacation...

...congratulations, folks. I've had it. I can't deal with this any more....
I am so bloody fed up, burned out and otherwise writer's blocked
that I can't even run my own bloody game.

I'm sick and tired of the bickering and snarking around here. I used
to come here to enjoy a good discussion and be able to contribute
as well as enjoy the contributions of others.

I can't do that any more. I'm getting too old for this. I'm pushing 40,
and I don't have time for petty BS and crap. It's been a great time
while it lasted...almost 28 years.

So, to those of you who keep bickering over stuff....thanks. I suppose
I should be grateful that I will now have more time to reinstall and then
reorganise the 3d art content on my new PC and devote to my art.

I'll have more time to read my e-books and explore some artistic type
opportunities that have been suggested. I might even have time to
finish my novella...and gasp...MAYbe get it submitted to an epub...

I'll answer PMs if somebody happens to send one, otherwise I may
not be back for a long while. Maybe some cooler heads and civility
will prevail in the interim? One could hope...but I'm not holding my
breath.

Ty--see me in IMs. I'm not going anywhere.
Redman--same deal. You know where to find me.
Ragnarok--we'll talk off line, and I'll still come by this weekend, provided
my cold/flu isn't being too much of pain.

Anybody else that needs to find me can leave a PM. I'll check those out
when it emails me about one.

Hasta la vista, folks...

As Punstarr and Lord Sidious have said, so say we all, Niniri. You will be missed around here greatly. We hope to see you return in the future.

Quack, damn you...

So I took a vacation from this place for 2 weeks, with the exception of checking a
couple of private messages.

Looks like things are continuing to spiral down hill...going from bad to worse.

I wish there was a way to delete every post I ever made here.

But, since I can't, I suppose I'll just let those things fade into the archives. I can't
see any good in coming back here any more, because I'm getting too old for this
crap. Some of the things from the past few weeks make Mike Rowe's Dirty Jobs
show on Discovery Channel look like a 'good clean fun' in comparison.

I might miss a few people, but I won't miss seeing the insidious ammounts of *ahem*
fertilizer that have proliferated in various threads and posts. I'm starting to feel like I've
outgrown gaming...and it's time to move on, look back at 28 years with a sense of
fond nostaliga and get on with other things.

Ciao.

*awwwws and hugs* :( If all the good people leave though that only leaves the bad ones though and that's not good for anyone. :(

Bummer, you haven't even had a chance to game with my crew on Fridays. Well, if anything, I think the worst is over on these forums. I hope you lurk on and see a major let up on flamages. You'll be missed. Niniri.

Epilogue
March 01, 2008 12:11PM
My vivid imagination has forced me to see a comic book cover where those who remain a part of our organization are suitably drawn as crime fighters dressed in their best costume.

We are shown as participating in a meeting around a gargantuan round table. Some of us are either seated in one of the chairs that encircle the table. Others are presented as abruptly standing in front of their chair.

Helplessly we watch as NiniriAZ, dressed in her superhero outfit, is walking away from us. Her shapely and heroic figure is presented in the foreground. She is moving toward the view of the person who is considering the purchase of this issue.

The artist has expertly captured the look on her face. It reflects both the saddness and disgust that has motivated her to leave our team.

Meanwhile the majority of our band's faces are showing disbelief and confusion.
We seem to be uttering a collective "Please, don't go!!" or, Can't we talk it out?!?", or, "What tha . . .?!?". However, there are a few who are smirking, or smiling. Their devil-may-care expressions seem to crudely blather out "Don't go away mad. Just go away."

The scarlett red lettering of this issue's title is splashed just beneath her boots.

" TO BE A MEMBER. . . NO MORE!! "

Naturally the issue becomes a best seller.
It is now a highly collectible issue, fetching as much as an opening bid of $50.00 on E-Bay.

NiniriAZ's presence is sorely missed by both her fans and those on this team who apprectiate her insight and humour.

Perhaps one day the "Return of NinirAZ!!" will hit the comic book shops and newsstands of our world.

So long NiniriAZ.

Sincerely,
Secret Defender
