endurance ranks

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone can quantify for me what an endurance rank above Unearthly actually means. As, Unearthly is listed indicates that they never tire. Likewise, how does it impact their healing ability. Example, what does Superman's Shift-Y endurance actually mean or someone with Class 3000 endurance like Galactus. Your help would be much apprceiated.

Well Endurance quantifies far more than just how well one resists exhaustion, it includes all their physical durability and health, so an Endurance over Unearthly reflects the almost incomprehensible ability for them to resist damage, disease, and recover from injury.

Since Endurance is also a measure of how much you recover of lost health it does mean one recovers astoundingly fast and would almost appear to have Regeneration to an outside observer given how quickly they return to normal health and vitality. One with an extremely high Endurance can recover as if they had a measure of regeneration, although can't recover lost limbs and organs and a heart or brain shot without powers to compensate will still kill.

For someone like Superman or Galactus you can pound them down to almost nothing and they can recover from it within hours or days, depending on how much loss they suffer of Endurance ranks, and because of their high Endurances they can lose more ranks than other and still come back strong.

Endurance also messures the damage delivered on a charging attack, which helps explain how some beings like Superman who can just dive into the earth without missing a beat or other stunts we've viewed other heroes do in other charging feats, like Spidey charging through a window while swinging on a webline or Colossus charging through walls to get to his targets.
