Endurance: Remarkable/Unearthly
Reason: Good

Psyche: Remarkable

Health: 90/315
Karma: 60

Powers:

Tekkaman Physiology: D-Boy was one of a spaceship full of humans captured by an alien race called the Radam, and transformed into an alien super soldier called a Tekkaman. His very body provides the following powers

Alter Ego: By holding his Tek Crystal aloft in the air and screaming Tek Setter. D-Boy will transform into Tekkaman Blade with all his stats changing to the set on the right. In addition he gains the following powers.
-Body Armor: Unearthly protection vs Physical and Energy damage. To the point he was able to survive a point blank detonation of a tactical nuclear warhead with no visible damage.
-Flight up to Unearthly Airspeed. He has devloped the following power-stunt
--"Crash Intrude" While in Flight he can fold up his body and cocoon himself in a bird-shaped energy field causing his Charging attacks to do energy damage, and to potentially hit all targets within the same area as him.
-Grappling Cable: Located inside his left arm. This monstrous-strength line of wire can reach out to grapple or grab at a range of 3 areas.
-Voltekka: The signature attack of most Tekkamen. A powerful energy blast of a presumed anti-matter nature. Blade has them hidden inside his shoulders which open up to reveal the cannons. They inflict Unearthly energy Damage at a Range of 10 areas with the damage dropping -1CS for every area beyond that.
-Self Sustenance: Does not need to breathe, and can survive in the vacuum of space.:

Limitations

-Time Limit: If D-Boy remains in Tekkaman form longer than 30 minutes he must make a successful Psyche FEAT every round to avoid falling into a Berserker state where he turns against Humanity and attacks indescriminately. A sucessful Red Psyhe FEAT must be made to come out of it.

-Radam Vulnerability Against Radam beast or Tekkaman weapons D-Boy's Body Armor is considered only 1/2 it's ability number rounded down..

Equipment

Tek Crystal: Amazing Material Strength: Allows Transformation into Tekkaman Blade.

Tek Lancer: Unearthly Material. This weapon is stored in seperate halves inside Tekkaman Blade's shoulders. These weapons can inflict up to Unearthly edged damage with each strike, and can be thrown up to three areas away. Blade can use them both combined or as seperated weapons.

Talents: Martial Arts A, B, Sharp Weapons, Spacecraft Operation

https://classicmarvelforever.com/phorum/read.php?4,85507,85507#msg-85507 Shanna the She-Devil (Frank Cho version)? (2 replies) https://classicmarvelforever.com/phorum/read.php?4,85507,85507#msg-85507
The mainstream version of Shanna (née Shanna O'Hara) is a former veterinarian and adventurer, married to Ka-Zar and living in the Savage Land. I’ve seen stats for her on this site and in the GHotMU Volume 4. Similar stats are given for her in the Omniverse Classic Edition Gamer’s Handbook. Though the entry uses the Frank Cho imagery, the character described there is definitely not the Cho take on the character. Shanna O’Hara, for instance, is a redhead. Cho Shanna is a blond.

The Frank Cho version of Shanna is the result of some Nazi genetic experiment, who’s DNA has been tweaked to human perfection and a bit beyond. She’s found in an incubation tube in an abandoned laboratory on a mysterious island by a marooned military unit. The men decide to call her Shanna because of her “resemblance to the comic book character”. This one is described as having the strength of “at least 12 men” and can break a Velociraptor’s neck with her bare hands.

To be fair, I’m not sure the Cho version exists in the 616 universe. In fact, she almost seems to be a precursor to Jungle Girl, since the two look nearly the same and operate under similar circumstances. Any thoughts or suggestions? If there are no stats for the Cho version, I may do some research and come up with my own take – which I’ll post here for folks to check out.]]>

Marya-Zaleska

Countess Marya Zaleska (Dracula)

S: Rm (30)/In (40)
E: Rm (30)/In (40)
R: Gd (10)
I: Ex (20)/In (40)
P: Rm (30)/Ex (20)

Health: 80/100
Karma: 60/70
Resources: Rm (30)
Popularity: 0/-10 (Generally/After embracing her nature or identified as the daughter of Dracula)

Talents:
Marya Zaleska has several skills which she displays during her brief encounter, demonstrating the following:
  • Mystic Origin*
  • Knowledge: Religion
  • Knowledge: Ritual
  • Knowledge: High Society
  • Trance
  • Multi-Lingual
  • Heir to Fortune*

Powers:
Reluctant Vampire
Countess Marya Zaleska is the daughter of Dracula and a vampire in her own right. Although Countess Zaleska is trying to rid herself of her familial curse, she still possesses the powers, attributes, and abilities of a vampire. Countess Zaleska has the following abilities and powers due to heritage:
  • Vampirism*: Although Countess Zaleska is able to resist many of the longings and cravings of her vampiric nature, she is a vampire first and foremost of the Count Dracula (1933) tradition. Zaleska does not require blood to sustain herself, but is addicted to it – an addiction that she is trying very hard to lose. Zaleska regains lost health through blood drinking, can enslave those who she has drained, pass vampirism onto others, and is able to restore lost endurance and status effects when drinking blood. In most ways, Zaleska is considered to have Bio-vampirism*, but instead of the difficulties and limitations of the traditional sense, Zaleska simply is left making Psyche FEATS when in the presence of blood or in moments of inner crisis or lost morale. Zaleska is considered ‘unageing’ and as a vampire is considered immune to most diseases/aging/toxins. Zaleska can still be stunned and slammed, but recovers with extraordinary speed (1 round maximum for stuns, immune to grand slams).
  • Adjusted FASERIP: Zaleska ‘s FASERIP shifts depending on when first encountered. Zaleska’ FASERIP is as it is listed on the left during the period she is actively resisting or trying to cure her condition. Zaleska’s attributes, while still extremely impressive a normal human drop when she’s not actively feeding or trying to resist her vampiric nature. Zaleska’s attributes shift to the values on the right when she’s fed, she’s abandoned her goals of removing vampirism, or when she’s goaded into her actions by her manservant Sandor. Please see ‘Limitations’ for more information.
  • Hypnotic Gaze: Countess Zaleska has a powerful hypnotic gaze and is capable of controlling both the active and subliminal commands of those around her with Rm (30) intensity. Zaleska can create situations in which individuals actually hallucinate seeing or hearing events that are no present and can also use her powers to render herself ‘invisible’ to normal eyes. Zaleska will attempt to use her powers to prevent further investigation or to render her actions oblivious – Zaleska prefers not to use her powers violently.
  • Vampiric Abilities: Unlike the traditional Hollywood powers of Vampirism, Zaleska cannot shapeshift and cannot turn into mist in a traditional means. Zaleska is believed to have fangs (Although like the Bela Lugosi version of Dracula she is never seen with them) which would do Ex (20) edged damage ignoring normal protections and halving effective armor. Zaleska also possesses longer fingernails which could do Rm (30) edged damage if wielded correctly – but this was only a mentioned effect. Zaleska also is considered to have Ex (20) heightened senses and can probably see into the heat area of the spectrum as she randomly comments being able to do so in passing.
  • Karma Interference: Linoge seems to affect the situations he’s part of – whether it is to create terrible situations and make them worse or to interfere with solid attempts to stop him. It is possible due to Linoge’s nature and his abilities Linoge prevents the use of Karma in efforts that are directly against him. As such, Karma may not be used when dealing with Linoge directly or in opposition of Linoge’s activities.

Occult Expert: Zaleska understands the occult better than most and is well-versed in ritual and religious symbology. As such, Zaleska can conduct and cast ritual spells if she knows them at current Psyche Rank intensity. Zaleska can only perform rituals according to the specific conditions and while aware of greater mystical powers, can only entreat them according to her nature and state of being.

Contacts:
Countess Zaleska has a manservant named Sandor who she believes she can count on, but in reality, has no desire to help her remove her vampirism. Zaleska may have additional contacts home like her father, but it is unknown at what level.

Limitations:
Countess Valeska has many limitations that work against her in her goals. These limitations include:
  • Reluctant Vampire: Marya Zaleska is very much hoping to cure her vampirism and has placed great value that her nature can be cured – while attempting her cure Zaleska’s FASERIP is affected given her state of mind. When Zaleska has abandoned her goal, her primal nature takes over and her RIP is reduced accordingly. Zaleska’s nature can be used against her, making attempts to sway her or create opportunities to affect her to have greater affect – any attempt gains a +1cs to affect her.
  • Dangerous Lineage: Zaleska is the recognized daughter of Dracula, and as such any who know of her relations will be adversely affected. Zaleska does little to hide this fact but does not relish in it – Zaleska does not care for her father and blames his actions for her state – indeed blaming him for all the evils of their family name. When dealing with Zaleska and if the parties are aware of her true nature Zaleska suffers a -1cs to all social FEATS due to this information.
  • Traitorous Servant: Although Zaleska utilizes Sandor explicitly to help her, Sandor has hopes of being turned into a vampire himself and will work against Zaleska’s best interests to ensure she remains a vampire. Sandor will take direct steps to remind Zaleska that she is of the undead and that she has little hope of changing that. Sandor will undermine Zaleska’s attempts adding a +1cs difficulty in cases that Zaleska might resist her nature. Sandor will also work against Zaleska in subtle ways – from reminding her of her true nature and also to work against anyone who might seek to help Zaleska.

E: Am (50) *
R: Rm (30)
I: In (40)
P: Am (50)

Health: 80
Karma: 120
Resources: Good (10) *
Popularity: 0/-20/-10 (Representing general Popularity – Popularity as Legion – Popularity in general occult circles)

Talents:
Linoge displayed the following talents:
  • Mystic Origin*
  • Knowledge: History (Ancient recorded history and the general view of events)
  • Knowledge: Ancient Mysteries
  • Knowledge: Ritual
  • Knowledge: True History (The actual events of history and how things were resolved)
  • Multi-Lingual
  • Knowledge: Human Nature

Powers:
An Archimage
Andre Linoge is a powerful wizard who may predate Atlantis and was present at many of the tragedies that have befallen mankind. Linoge is powerful enough to be confused with the demon Legion and has been responsible for the destruction of the Roanoke colony as well as possibly having a hand in the destruction of Atlantis itself. Linoge’s skills and abilities are usually necromantic in nature, but he has displayed some greater manipulation of the environment. Linoge does not require ritual or prestigitation to use his mystical abilities, but does utilizes focuses. As such, Linoge has demonstrated the following:
  • Magic Pool: Linoge has a 50 point per round pool he can utilize in a variety of abilities to cause effects or persistent/continually effects. Linoge can create illusions, travel in and manipulate dreams, read minds, cause great illusionary pain (and occasional) real pain to individuals, fly, teleport, manipulate his environment to unlock doors, and to deconstruct/damage communications and electronic signals. Linoge can spend point-for-rank point out of the pool to achieve his goals (For instance, to create Ex (20) Hallucinations he would need to spend 20 points). Linoge can create situations which remain persistent (Such as the winter storm that threatens Little Tall) and has been known to force people to walk into the sea (as he did with the Roanoke colony). (See his cane for more details)
  • Longevity: Linoge is not immortal but instead has a great deal of Longevity which makes him to mostly appear as a man in his thirties. Linoge’s longevity also extends to explain his high Endurance – which remains at Am (50) throughout millennia. Linoge’s longevity however has drawbacks – when Linoge finds himself reaching the end of his lifespan he will have to find someone to take his place – an apprentice. Linoge will choose a child from a community and take the child after its community has given it to him. Once that occurs a ritual will happen which will rapidly age Linoge but will transfer part of his being into the child thus beginning a new cycle. Linoge will eventually then age and die normally after instructing his successor. Linoge seems to be almost immortal when still in his ‘younger’ form, and can recover from near deadly events within minutes.
  • Linoge’s cane: As it was mentioned both in the miniseries and the subsequent novel Linoge utilizes a silver-headed cane to work his magic and probably to extend his persistent spell-effects by working his power through the cane. Linoge can use his cane to extend the effects of his power pool upwards of 24 hours by empowering the cane (which can store up to 100 Points of mystical power), recharging it as necessary to keep his persistent spells working. The cane is never separated from Linoge and even if destroyed through conventional means will be reformed in Linoge’s hand with 1 round.
  • Divination: Using a bag of pebbles supposedly from Atlantis itself Linoge may determine and divine which child is his successor or determine which families will be sacrificed. The Bag has seven (7) white stones and one (1) black stone, which is used to determine who is to be the sacrifice. The divination must be willingly done – Linoge cannot simply take his successor – the successor must be given willingly (See Limitations).

Contacts:
Linoge has no contacts save his successor.

Limitations:
Andre Linoge is powerful, but suffers many limitations to his power
  • Limited Time: As stated with his Longevity, Linoge has limited time to find his successor and begin the instruction – Linoge’s powers are tied to his ability to find his successor and interference could result in severe consequence, a fact that Linoge states openly and ensures his willingness to kill anyone who gets in his way. Linoge’s limited time forces Linoge to enact terrible and dangerous events that are bound by a period – say the course of a massive storm. What could happen to Linoge if he fails is unknown but is considered dire.
  • Acceptance: Linoge simply cannot take an apprentice – the apprentice must be given willingly from the community which in itself is a big deal – Linoge’s powers and the acceptance of them seem drawn equally from his own experience and equally from what the community Linoge is pursuing are willing to do. Make no mistake, Linoge will destroy a community if not given what he desires, but it does him no good as it will move his own clock forward – the sacrifice must be made willingly by the community of the apprentice.
  • Enemies: At least in the course of actions after Little Tree and the revelation to its former sheriff, it can be assumed that Mike Anderson is an enemy of Linoge and may pursue him. Linoge may have other enemies in similar situations from over the centuries.
  • Relentless and Merciless: Linoge has no qualms about murdering entire towns to gain his goals and will do so at provocation or denial.
  • Reduction of FASE: Once Linoge has found his apprentice and confers his abilities upon them Linoge ages suddenly to an old man – as such Linoge’s FASE decreases up to -2cs across the board.

F: Ex (20)

S: Rm (30)
E: In (40)
R: Rm (30)
I: Rm (30)
P: Ex (20)

Health: 120
Karma: 70
Resources: Rm (30) – Pr (04)
Popularity: 0

Talents:
Count Voytek has displayed the following skills
  • Knowledge: Art
  • Knowledge: History
  • Knowledge: Area of Operation* (See Limitations)
  • Knowledge: Human Nature
  • Multi-Lingual
  • Detective
  • Brawling
  • Mystic Origin*

Powers:
Vampire
Anton Voytek is a vampire with experience and abilities that makes him formidable. Although Voytek does not have all of the ‘Hollywood’ traditional vampiric abilities, Voytek’s guile coupled with the general belief that vampires do not exist make him extraordinarily dangerous. Voytek’s abilities are as follows:
  • Vampire: Voytek is a vampire possessing greater physical attributes as well as a need for blood (considered to have bio-vampirism at In (40) ability). Voytek’s form of vampirism does not seem to grant him the inhuman speed or abilities of shapeshifting that are common in Hollywood vampirism, but he is able to draw upon surges which increase his Strength and Endurance by +1cs through a Psyche FEAT when necessary. Unlike other vampires Voytek is not mindless when he feeds, but rather both capable and direct in his hunting and can resist the sight of blood with a simple green Psyche FEAT if it interferes with his plans or goals. Voytek can create other vampires which are little more than thralls and does so for a primary reason: Revenge. Voytek’s only creation when encountered was an act of revenge due to his enemy’s interference on his claim to resources. Voytek’s senses are also sharply acute and provide him with the Heightened senses ability at Gd (10). Voytek can enthrall individuals by making eye contact with Rm (30) ability and can completely maintain control over a person without concentration when they are in his presence. Voytek can also implant suggestions with a simple FEAT and does so to ensure his will is carried out. Voytek has Ex (20) stealth in darkness and can move unnoticed in many situations with an Agility FEAT vs. Intuition FEATs of Rm (30)
  • Consummate Hunter: Voytek is a consummate hunter who understands both how to pursue prey as well as specifically how to uncover weaknesses or advantages. When Voytek has targeted someone Voytek will focus specifically on that target using resources and observation to pursue and ultimately eliminate them. Voytek’s abilities do not border on superhuman but rather a very intelligent and careful study of an opponent (or opponents). Voytek spends karma when pursuing an opponent and actually gains x2 the award when he achieves a victory over an opponent – such as killing or converting an enemy’s wife or having them committed for claiming vampires are real, etc. Voytek is incredibly patient in his activities and has shown to be clever to use any and or all legal means and methods to achieve his goals outside of murder. If a victim is selected and are not pursuing Voytek they will be at a -1cs to all related FEATs until they realize their danger.
  • Preparation: Voytek is very careful in his activities and actions, using both his intelligence and resources for fallback plans. As such, Voytek can spend karma after an action or activity to have prepared an escape plan or effort, similar to the mysterious death Karma expenditure. Voytek does not need to declare this prior to activity but rather can take advantage of such when situations warrant. The effect also means that Voytek can prepare surprises for his hunters (such as the aforementioned vampiric wife) to unnerve the situation.
  • Fallback Locations: Voytek will have at least five to six lairs that he can retreat to spread out in a region up to 50 miles from his present location. Voytek will ensure that the properties are difficult to trace and range from warehouses to crypts to underground storm facilities.
  • Changing the odds: Voytek utilizes whatever means necessary to offset anyone hunting him, specifically will ensure that the conditions of the confrontation are in his favor. A favorite tactic is to have someone that the hunter cares about at hand, creating -1cs disadvantages to the hunter when possible. Voytek never will allow a direct conflict to be purely by accident or through careless discovery.
  • Adaptable: Voytek is fairly adaptable to wherever he is, quickly overcoming knowledge and cultural issues to ensure that he can work his goals without showing difficulties or problems. Voytek can adapt within a few days of awakening or being freed and will automatically begin determining who he need to contact or controlled.
  • Charming: Voytek is very charming, using both his experience, hypnotic abilities, and general personality to make inroads in culture. As such Voytek gains a +1cs in social situations or dealing with new individuals.

Contacts:
Voytek has a great degree of resources and utilizes them to achieve his goals. Voytek has no real contacts and will not make any while active.

Limitations:
Despite Voytek’s powers and skills he suffers from many limitations:
  • Vampiric Limitations: Voytek suffers from traditional limitations but even more so than a typical Hollywood vampire. Voytek cannot remain active in daylight and enters the deathlike trance during the daylight hours, taking Gd (10) damage when active whether in direct sunlight or not. Voytek must rest in prepared coffins which must be secured during the daylight hours as he is completely vulnerable. Holy objects repel Voytek but he can advance with a Psyche FEAT in life (or unlife) situations. Holy objects such as symbols or Holy Water do +2cs damage when directly impacting Voytek, sending sparks literally flying as he is hit. If reduced to 50% health Voytek will flee blindly into the night.
  • Wanted fugitive: Due to situations in 1979, Voytek is a wanted fugitive who broke out of police custody and is wanted as a person of interest in several unsolved murders.
  • Arrogant: Voytek believes himself to be better than those who pursue him and that ultimately, he relishes in his superiority (which leads to several close-calls). Voytek will put himself at risk if it means to prove himself superior and gain revenge.
  • Enemies: Although Voytek believes he will outlive his enemies, there are those who are of Voytek and actively pursue him. As such if Voytek’s activities are ever known those enemies will become alerted and reduce Voytek’s cycle of activity.
  • Resource Scale – Voytek relies on his resources, but they can be removed and reduced as that his resources are bound to his current understanding of modern laws and businesses.

https://classicmarvelforever.com/phorum/read.php?4,84437,84437#msg-84437 It came from Halloween (XII) - The Navidson House from 'House of Leaves' (no replies) https://classicmarvelforever.com/phorum/read.php?4,84437,84437#msg-84437 “This is not for you.”

The Navidson House

House-of-Leaves-House

Although the novel is rife with unrelated narration, the Navidson house is the central location and possible threat that faces the Navidson family during The Navidson Record. After a short trip the Navidson family find their new home to have new dimensions, rooms, and passages and something…else.

Although House of Leaves focuses on the cross-narratives that make up the complete story, the Navidson house represents the central theme and danger that ultimately has dire consequences to the family.

The house that remains mutable
The Navidson House seems to house its own subdimension, changing its structure and areas as necessary. The house has many rooms and corridors upon each encounter, and seems boundless in its scope. A group of explorers attempted to map the area and disappeared for several weeks, only to be beset by an unknown creature. The Navidson House gains some notoriety but is not widely known outside of some circles and there is no reason why or how the house has gained such connection. The house has the following abilities:
  • Unreliable architecture: The Navidson house changes some of its interior upon each encounter – except the main rooms and living quarters. The Navidson House’s changes make it impossible to track, although certain rooms and passages seem to stabilize when individuals are inside of them. The Navidson house’s passages can lead for miles – sometimes taking days or weeks to navigate. The architecture ‘s disorientation causes any who explore to suffer -2cs to Intuition FEATs, making it difficult to navigate or keep direction. Powers such as Telelocation simply will not function as the nature of the internal location makes it impossible to get total bearings.
  • An unnerving experience: Those within the Navidson House suffer unnerving experiences – increased paranoia and obsession as well as possible hallucinations and similar effects. Those who stay within the Navidson house suffer a -1cs to their Psyche for the duration that they remain, and should they remain they will need to make a Psyche FEAT for each 24-hour period spent within the house. For each week period spent, the individual suffers an additional -1cs to Psyche (Maximum of reduction to Pr (04)). Once the individual has left the area for over 72 hours the effect reduces and the individual will recover at the point of +1 ranks per day. While in the house the individual also will experience sounds and/or images that may or may not be real, including growling and a general feeling of unrest rest.
  • The Beast: Although not directly encountered in the narrative, a sound of a great beast can be heard and does attack some of the explorers (at least is related through recovered narrative). The beast is feral and cannot easily be tracked or found as if it is indeed real, it remains in the sub-corridor and areas. The Beast reflects the nature of those who are present – as such it may or may not have substance or actual presence. The Beast cannot be slain in the traditional means as it may not exist.

Note: The novel is an awesome read - and it plays on the unreliable narrator greatly. My write-up is generalized to that purpose. The novel is being turned into a series, I'm curious how they'll handle it.]]>

https://classicmarvelforever.com/phorum/read.php?4,84427,84427#msg-84427 It came from Halloween (XII) - The Phantom of the Opera (1943) (no replies) https://classicmarvelforever.com/phorum/read.php?4,84427,84427#msg-84427 Phantom of the Opera as I felt I needed to cover it as part of my long-running coverage of Universal Monsters. The 1943 version was the first version of the character or story I'd ever seen and it stayed with me even after watching the iconic 1925 version with Lon Chaney and the musical. I felt that the character of the Phantom from 1943 was far different and in many cases truly insane.

I didn't realize there was an actual sequel to the movie planned and that ultimately it was not produced as a true sequel. I felt that to complete my run on Universal Monsters I needed to do this version. As of late you may have noticed I'm reusing the format and that the stats are slightly higher than I have in the past projected them to be. I'm trying something different and this taking their setting as part of the generation system - I'm trying to cover as they are represented as part of their world, which may be slightly different than normal.

So...The Phantom of the Opera!

“The music comes down and the darkness distills it, cleanses it of the suffering that made it...”

The Phantom of the Opera

Phantom-of-opera-Raines

Enrique Claudin

F: Ex (20)
A: Gd (10)
S: Ex (20) *
E: Rm (30)
R: Typ (06)
I: Ex (20)*
P: Ex (20)

Health: 90
Karma: 70
Resources: Pr (04)
Popularity: 2 (as a noted violinist and musician) -5 as the Phantom

Talents:
Claudin is a master of the following skills:
  • Performer: Musician
  • Knowledge: Parisian area
  • Knowledge: Parisian underworld
  • Sharp Weapons
  • Chemistry
  • Sleight of Hand* (See limitations)

Powers:
A man possessed
Enrique Claudin is a man who is both motivated and obsessed with ensuring his goals are met – either through recovering his lost property and/or status or with the career of Christine Dubois. Since his disfigurement and descent into psychotic madness Enrique has become a terror of Paris whose goals are absolutely. Due to his madness Claudin has several key abilities that include:
  • Inhuman Endurance and Strength (for human): Claudin’s madness have granted him greater endurance and strength compared to his normal state. Claudin seems to be stronger and more endurance than normal, able to enact greater feats of strength than normal and able to resist the effects of damage (hence the enhanced FASE). Claudin’s ability to recover from effects have led some to consider him to be supernatural. Originally Claudin’s FASE were: F : Gd (10) A: Typ (06) S: Gd (10) E: Gd (10). Claudin’s adjustments are based purely on his rage-induced psychosis.
  • Ignore Damage Effects – Claudin’s increased Endurance allows him to apparently ignore stunning effects with a successful rank Endurance FEAT. Several times during the movie Claudin ignored deadly attacks, beginning when his face was burned by etching acid and moving onward to when he was haunting the Opera House. Claudin’s Endurance also allows him to make successful Roll vs. Death checks to ignore follow-up stun.
  • Stealth within the Opera House: Claudin understand and knows the Parisian Opera House inside and out, knowing the secret passages, stage doors, and underground with absolute ability and knowledge. As such, Claudin may make a check to evade observation or ‘disappear’ into the Opera House after actions. While in the Opera House Claudin is considered to have the Stealth power at Ex (20).
  • Greater Awareness: Claudin seems more in tune with his surroundings and environments since his disfigurement, hence the Ex (20) Intuition. Previously one could consider Claudin's Intuition to be Gd (10) or even Typ (06).

Contacts:
Before his crime and subsequent disfigurement, Claudin was a well-thought of member of the Parisian Opera Company as a violinist and a somewhat regarded musician. After his disfigurement Claudin’s only real contact was his protégé Christine Dubois and even then, she was not a contact.

Limitations:
Claudin’s limitations include:
  • Obsessed Madman: Claudin was a madman whose madness was made more acute by the actions that led to his disfigurement. Claudin is absolutely obsessed with Christine and will do anything to ensure her rise and what he thinks would be her happiness. Claudin’s obsession ultimately led to the multiple murders he committed within Paris and the activities performed as the Phantom. Claudin will stop at nothing for Christine and will kill without hesitation. Claudin suffers a -1cs to his Reason or Psyche when Christine is involved.
  • Disfigured: Claudin was burned by etching acid during the event which led to his current state and wears a mask to hide both his scars and identity. Claudin suffers -2cs to any social FEATS in which his face is exposed.
  • Criminal: Claudin is wanted for his murders and is considered hunted by the Parisian police regardless if he is believed dead. Claudin is known by some to be the Phantom and his old identity offers him no sanctuary.
  • Degenerative Nerve Disease: Although not specifically identified Claudine is suffering from a disease that is robbing him of his finer motor control, such as playing the violin. Although not mentioned as much after he became the Phantom, Claudin stated many times that he was going to have to quite as the loss was progressing. Claudin must make an Agility FEAT when attempting complex dexterous actions or suffer a -1cs to all similar activities for a period of 1d10 turns.
